I'm southpaw too so rather awkward for me. Which makes sense cause a similar case happened with me in fencing another left handed person, it was awkward for both of us since most of our training opponents were right handed.
@@MusicFan752 That's why you get used to doing both. Practice south paw and regular, if you're opponent is one way you can through them off by using an opposite or same stance
The way I beat moneymaker was all out offense. In each round I hit him as hard as I could from the start of the round till there was 1 minute and 30 seconds left, and it was a great workout. He gave up on round 4
For me the peek a boo style works fairly well on money maker I found out that he has realy hard time hitting me when swaying down for punch to his liver and then quickly getting up to hook to the head. It's a bit exhaustive but nothing that couldnt be handled if you take a pause between rounds.
I dance like Ali and brawl like Frazier, I'm a boxer-puncher and I can use my reach to outdistance everyone besides The Spider, but he isn't very dynamic or fast, so I easily steam right through him, the person I had the hardest with is Money Maker became I don't have that much of a reach advantage (if at all) and he's everything The Spider isn't, he's fast and three-dimensional, he didn't come close to beating me and he lost by third round KO, but he still lasted the longest and fought the best.

does anyone else think matty's significantly easier than the duke? matty is a lot faster and harder to hit, but the duke's endurance and damage is absurdly high, he's on the same level as the moneymaker for me
Good stuff, thanks. Me personally - playing on Normal - i lost three times on points to Ugly Joe despite landing vastly more punches, and his face looking like a bloody pizza. I had both multipliers on manual x1.0 so changed to "automatically adjust". I then beat him unanimously using the same tactics and scoring similar lands...this time it calculated my multiplier to be only a little higher: around x1.15 to x1.20. I then comfortably beat the next 3 opponents using the "auto-detect multiplier" setting, again where the calculated multiplier came out around x1.20. Feels like a bug, maybe. Did anyone score many wins using manual x1.0 multipliers? Still, this is by a huge margin the greatest boxing game ever made. Much better than other VR boxers like the arcady Creed one. Very accurate vid , duke was one of the first fighters I dint get a 3 knock down on , rn I’m down all of them on the second hardest level, I’m on duke rn
Thanks! With Duke a lot of endurance is needed, but if you can hone in on the correct point on his jaw and hit it consistently he will go down pretty quickly. It's easy to hit him once or twice in the face to get him to bring his guard over his center and then hit him with a strong hook that does a lot of damage... if you hit him just right. Takes some practice on higher difficulties.
@@RealityRemake I feel like my biggest issue is I do heavy swings and it takes a lot out of me but I end up missing or either the game registers it as blue
@@ernestonavarro4017 I have the exact same problem sometimes! My hardest opponent is the artist because I'll throw heavy hooks at him and he'll move his head just in time for my fist to miss the weak spot on his head/chin. If you're having trouble hitting weak spots a bit of practice on the dummy helps a lot, even just for 5 minutes. A punch that will be blue not hitting a weak spot can be orange when it hits one. Also if you have automatic force adjustment on I recommend turning it off and leaving the force at somewhere in 1x to 1.5x. Automatic force adjustment will make it so that if you throw a heavy punch your next heavy punches will be the same strength, so there's no reason to throw strong punches.
When I learned hooks against chins does a lot of damage I finally beat the duke on endurance 2 minutes into the first round after a couple of days only to destroy Matty in 46 seconds in the first round
As someone shorter than most at about 5'6", spider is my favorite opponent. His range makes it hard for me to get up close and his height makes it even harder to land a good hit on his head. This really helps to focus on footwork so i can slip those hard ass punches and manage to get my own hit in. I love to break down his stomach and then go for the face on whatever time is left. I swear, this game made me a specialist on taller opponents now. 😂
This game gets harder or easier depending on your boundary which is weird, also if there's anything in your boundary I think it has an effect on your damage calculation too. I've literally gone from beating them all every time on outclassed to some of the easier ones on outclassed knocking me down following changing my boundary. For a while I was beating the earlier fighters in the first 40 seconds or so with three knock-downs now after changing my boundary some of the early fighters take me into round 3
One of the things i hold against my friends is that iv knocked out everybody in the game except moneymaker. Althought i did knock him down like twice i think
I went until the duke before I lost by decision I didn’t do any breaks or drink water my arms felt like jello I couldn’t hit as hard and fast so I lost but next day I’m knocking him out I knocked him out
Same, I was only able to knock him down once, I merely won through points. Out of all the fighters in the game, he’s the one I get worn out to the most.
Oh I like this question! I would recommend medium, but if you have a ton of trouble punching around your opponents' guards (i.e. trying to land a hook while their hands are in front of their face) then having small hands makes that easier, though it's harder to block with small hands. Big hands make it kind of hard to land punches, but makes defense super simple. Overall medium is good for the balance of it.
Nice! I know from experience just how hard that is. If you're getting bored try messing with the custom difficulty settings. It's a whole new game once you do
@@RealityRemake i’m not getting bored, it’s always a serious workout, it’s fun :) On outclassed I do 3-8 rounds with random boxers as warmup, then Moneymaker to feel the pressure and trying different techniques. Once every 5 rounds on average he catches me and directly KOs me. Then I lose it, restart and TKO him in first round (3 knockdown rule). I only managed once to directly KO an opponent. I just use the defaults for outclassed, with no visual cues and the most realistic settings. I trust the devs. In my case I heavily doubt I would need a higher difficulty when it comes to what is required to KO somebody. As for defense, not sure if getting KO-ed by a jab would be realistic, but I might be wrong. Overall, an amazing game to “punch the air”, as silly people say. I always reply to them that Mayweather, the best who ever did it, only had about 45% accuracy, the rest is punching the air. @RealityRemake yep, being a south paw, The Artist has a big weakness: an exposed liver. I'm a south paw myself so I tend to tighten my lower guard to avoid liver shots as much as possible. Low left hooks can be quite devastating for the Artist, so a few quick jabs forcing him to raise his guard and then landing a brutal left hook to his liver can be pretty effective.
