This video is one of the things I needed. I still have confidence issues when it comes to understanding and being comfortable with my own skills. I really appreciate the timing here Mr. STYKO.
really needed, ive lost 500-600 elo and i feel like ive lost my complete confidence, trying to get it back but its really hard, also very self critical which i know is detremental for my game in the long run
I'm having the worst slump ever, I play for entertainment but I'm pretty competitve and really critical of myself. I know i'm going through a rough patch in life in gerenal, a lot of work related pressure and stress, which i guess is affecting my gaming, but I play as a release valve, to destress and i'm stuck in a stress loop because my game is awful right now. The timing for this video was absolutely perfect, thanks Styko!
I love your videos when you just sit down and talk about topics surronding cs. I learn so much about how to approach the game and I learn new things about myself. I always watch all your videos. Thank you!!
Most underrated player ever! One of the best supporter imo and even managed too fullfile so many other jobs in a Team. Hope you're doing fine! Thank you foor good content! Keep it up man
the past week and a bit ive been in the worst slump, from dropping avg 24-30 kill games and now feeling like i cant aim is frustraing but i think your rightt about having a break from tthe game
such great content! absolutely love your videos. thank you for the insights. The part where you mentioned bringing self criticism down to a reasonable level really resonated with me
Bro I’ve been in the type of slump that feels like no matter what the enemy players just have your number, every timing going their way, every peek is a hs, running headshots, getting killed through smoke with no queues it’s been rough. It hurts in game focus, now I’m making bad decisions, then add on what Styko says about being self-critical, losing confidence and being risk averse. it feels like a land slide that can’t be stopped. Now I’m back in the faceit elo where you get AFKs, throwing teammates, smurfs/skill disparity which always seem to be on the other team so there’s even more pressure to perform and win to get out of this mess. Crazy cycle extremely hard to break when solo queueing.
Really well done video! I have a lot of consistency problems and I used to self criticize a lot until I realized that when I was playing bad it was usually because I didn't actually want to play the game / felt like a chore while playing. Also doesn't help that my ADHD makes it hard to focus on the game without getting distracted or zoning out
Struggle to focus (for longer period of time which is more than ~10 minutes) is seemingly one common problem majority of players seem to have. Any level, any game… Whoever handles focus well, has major advantage in anything at this age. Might be a good topic to do a video about… problem is, a lot of players don’t even realize they are struggling with this 😅
Yeah, its a very subtle but significant problem, even a simple thing like losing focus holding an angle losing you the round and then you criticize yourself but don't actually understand the reason why you lost focus.
Man I genuinely love you, I strife to become a better player than I am, I hit a wall and I couldn't find what's wrong with me, I wanted to improve but had no idea where and how, but you helped me so much, I don't know if you'll see this, but thank you
Nice vidio, needed this right now. I see u take much notes when watching demos. Would be awsome to see what u write down after a video with demo review. Just like in the "how to anti strat".
Question ( maybe an idea for future video ) finding your role in the team and adapting your playstyle to your advantages, example, I use higher sens, so I can entry and clear angles faster but my aim and movement suffer from overflicking and consistency, on the upside clutches like 1v2 are easier then on lower sens.. is a balance possible or should we pick our extreme ? ( Niko from G2 sens for an example) If anyone has an opinion on this I welcome a discussion, just dont take peripherals like glass skates or quick pads in consideration, I am curious about the base of the player’s capabilities. Thanks :)
I already did something similar finding role that fits you, but it's mostly due to attributes of your character - th-cam.com/video/NaGezqx6VEM/w-d-xo.html For adapting to playstyle like you mentioned, it is surely possible to find a balance. I feel like the example you mentioned with sensitivity is you overthinking it. Sticking to somewhat reasonable, average sensitivity will make you able to play any role or playstyle. Just stick to it, changing sensitivity is almost always a bad idea.
lately I've been gettin 0.5 kr every game but I still win every game. I cant complain but im so shit that I'd rather lose every game and be a good player again than this.
Bro your videos are actual tutorials, 98% of cs content nowadays is stairs smoke on Mirage xD
Best CS content on youtube
