    There was a point where you were talking about his arm position, and I think your initial suspicion was correct, that his setup is hindering his aim a bit.
    I've always been a low sense player, and it requires your desk to be high up, and your arm to be flared out to the side. Your elbow should be just barely off the desk, this way you are getting the maximum range for your arm to pivot around. If your arm isn't flared out, due to your desk being too low, when you move to the right your range is lower and you'll have to do a combination of stretching and using your shoulder to get the same range. This leads to an imbalance, where you only need your forearm to aim left, and you need multiple muscles (that move along different planes) to aim to the right.
    If you search "Ron Rambo Kim -- Low Sensitivity - Forearm Aiming (FaZe NiKo)" you'll find a video that shows Niko's arm positioning, and it is similar to what I am describing. His elbow is flared out away from his body, it's barely off the table (sometimes it's even on the table), and he aims almost entirely with his forearm (using wrist for micro adjustments).

    • @pienixcs
      @pienixcs  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Yea go with most of the forearm on the table

      Armrest player with only wrist on the desk here. Used to have my whole arm no the table though, but i've grown out of that trying to correct my posture a bit. I still do the same motions as before, but I guess the big difference is that my arm isn't as far away from my body, which of course means I have a lower desk position than before too.

      When I was a kid I used this aiming style and I kept my elbow on the desk. I thibk my aim was better then tan it is now. Anyway I used to play so much that the friction from my elbow on the desk caused the skin on my elbow to bruise and peel off

      @@Mollelarsson I don't think you should be using ur arm rest at all, it kinda messes up ur muscle memmory and ur mouse movement. You don't see a single good player in cs use arm rest and i think that is for a reason

    • @Mollelarsson
      @Mollelarsson 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@sbay8636 Provably but my glory days are over, I’m playing comfortably around 20k premier and lvl 8-10 faceit with my setup. My priority is my posture nowadays and it sucks when I play like recommended.
      I sorta mimic it with my current setup because I can raise and lower both my desk and armrest, so the height matches the table and I get the same range of motion.

  • @needfood2992
    @needfood2992 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Honestly you would see a lot of this in my gameplay. I also flick more than i track but i also find it’s easier to get fast hs with a calmer grip on the mouse and just being mentally calm in clutch situations. Have not considered my desk height at all (desk is higher so elbows are more pointed down)
    Prob is i can consistently drop 30 with awp on any dpi and sens combo but can not perform nearly as much with rifles

    Consistently doing Aimlab for training has improved my aim immensely, nowadays I mostly do a 20 minute aimlab warmup playlist before going into cs warmup and I notice a difference on days when I skip that. Aimlab won't substitute hours spent on the server but it's a great tool for improving (as long as you do reasonable tasks ofc.), not sure why you are so against it.

    Yep. The peeker's advantage part of the video is absolutely true for me. At least this dude said he does not actively think about it, while I constantly think about it and to be honest I get afraid that I will get destroyed, by something I can't react to. In my defense I will say that in Warmup servers till this day it still feels there's peeker's advantage. I just constantly die by people that are not on my screen and I can't react to that. You will say my internet connection is probably bad, but I have checked it. I have no packets loss and rarely the ms spikes. I am aiming just like him - my aim is not calm, I often overflick and I unlike him I get this subconscious fear that I will die by something I won't see as I said. And another question - is the routine you gave him private for the students or we can find it somewhere, because I have been struggling with this for years it feels like and I don't really play other shooters anymore.

    I think that the problem here is a complex one. The player is obviously not prepared for wide pick, and he is bad at duels with a lot of movement. He's got a predictive approach to duels where he is trying to predict target's motion. Instead of this bad habbit he should be more reactive at microcorrections.
