Not only that, but they probably closed down their England and JP studios to pump money into this project for this end result. It needs be to reminded in their face until the end of time just how badly they messed up.
No it’s not just game. They had plan making cinema every week. They spend 8 years to create new IP like Overwatch, Dota, LOL. They are trying to build an universe of Concord. Now it’s in the void.
A reminder that the lead developer is someone who goes absolutely ballistic if you don't refer to her as "the professor". I don't blame the higher ups, I blame one person... (Also marketing team)
Concord being shutdown and layoffs at Rocksteady within the same timespan of each other is kinda wild timing for 2 of the biggest GAAS flops of the year. Its crazy how when these things finally fail, suddenly they have more supporters speaking out for them than they actually have people who bought the game. Maybe if theyd just listened and released the thing people wanted, instead of the thing they think people want, itd be a different story.
Im loving that this mess went down in flames while the devs have their fingers in their ears and yelling to not listen to the trolling this game truely deserves. Its like that principal skinner scene where he was convincing himself it wasnt him but something else. Im sure there are memes of this somewhere by now.
Anthem wasn't given a second chance. The rework was canceled mid development. (People blame C-virus, but I'm not so sure.) So, no Anthem wasn't given it's second chance. But, Anthem definitely did far better, it made up some of it's costs.
Anthem had no second chance unfortunately (I think it could've had a No Man's Sky comeback tbh) but there was potential with it. I'm one of the ones who suffered through the terrible story just to finish it. The gameplay was nice when it wanted to work. The environment was great, suits were awesome. There's nothing even remotely like that in Shitcord. Their best decision was pulling the CORD, so to speak. ☠
People like to say this all the time without having any idea what it actually means. Yes they get a tax write off for $200M, but that just means they can make up to $200M in profits now without paying taxes on it. They are currently making ZERO dollars, so they still have to pay back the $200M.. Like when Disney pulled Willow, they still had to pay ALL the production costs of $156.7M, they just get to subtract that total from their profit sheet at the end of the year and it saves them maybe 25% of that cost on their taxes. So they save $39.2M, but are still at a net loss of $117.6M..
Is it possible to prevent it from happening by spreading out a LOT of pirated copies of the game so it'd be impossible to claim that it was "cleaned out"?
The truth is, until a firm stance is taken against women being hired in game development, that won't change. Imagine how us straight guys would ruin the makeup industry lol same thing
Not only do they not play video games, most of them don't exist. It's just a bunch of teenage girls that are on twitter 24/7 and hate the world and tweet 68 times a day. They make it seem like there are a lot more fruit cakes out there than there really is.
I can't believe there was an episode for this game already planned AND IN PRODUCTION for that new video game series.. People are SO dumb. From the moment reactions came out to the very first trailer everyone who wasn't a Reddit and Twitter(not X, Twitter) bubble dweller knew this exact thing was going to happen..
The fact is the concord episode of secret level will probably be good, and definitely better than the actual game, I say this because I loved love death robots and let's be real it IS a masterpiece of a series, and I do genuinely believe secret level will be just as good and probably even BETTER than love death robots as it's episodes focus on already beloved games... Minus Concord...
The amount of copium is incredible, plus the comments on Reddit and Twitter are priceless. Extra: Sony should've put Killzone on the Concord spot in Secret Level and it would have been much better since at least that IP is good, or at least Resistance.
they are not panicking, they are in full damage control mode now. comments only made noises, they already throwed the towel and write this farce of a video game as a write offs............ like microsoft said DEI is no longer business critical, sony learned it the hard way.
It's a double sharp edge blade. You see, liking something is the number one motivation to comeback to something... and once again, there's nothing to like here. Usually mistakes are easily forgotten when the right corrections are made, but it seems that they care not about our perspectives as consumers, so, why should we care about their failure as the product makers..? We don't.
Correlating cuckord to No Man's Sky is absolutely insane. NMS got a comback because it sold so well and players on console absolutely loved it. There are no love anywhere for concord.

my man, every company in the West is like this more or less, not just gaming. Japan will fall soon too. The only people that can stop it are the "right wing extremists" if they can take back control of the gov.
Even some indie devs are woke. Only a few devs are non-woke and some games are immune to woke like Counter Strike.
LoL, Fornite, COD, Apex, ... all popular games are woke. Steam is woke too(Sweet Baby Inc's client)
The normies only notice the extreme woke games like Concord.
Helldivers 2 is woke too if it's under Sony. Clearly not too woke to upset the normies.
@@dreyga2 its not a right wing or left wing thing. its a western thing. we are more focused on being right than making good things. Japan understands the idea that fiction is fiction and people should have fun with it because it isnt reality. the west does not. "right wing extremists" would froth at the mouth if eroges were sold in broad daylight like in Japan.
This is mostly due to a history of christianity and puritanism in the west.
It's almost like Sony Interactive moved headquarters to California.

I'm not surprised that it got shut down. I *_AM_* surprised that it took less than 2 weeks after the game was released.
That’s only because they brainwashed you into being surprised… we all knew the game would be dead on arrival 😂
You figure with that kind of investment you could at least carry the turd along for a month or two.
@@JackBlackYonko other than running server costs there is not much between a dead game and a shut down game, seeing as both include quick abandonment… semantically/autistically you can be surprised without that knowledge, I guess… if you’ve been around games for a while you wouldn’t be, nor missing the obvious joke L

I think the saddest thing here (aside from the people working on this game for 8 years that had no hand in much of the decisions) is that a lot of people were willing to die on the Concord hill with hope in their heart.
If Secret Level actually pops off as an anthology series, can't wait for normies to watch the Concord episode years later and be like, "Oh wow, the show added an original story not tied to any existing property."
"no no I think they're teasing a future release that hasn't been announced yet 😍"
This downfall was boosted by the careless tweet from one dev calling the audience . It was inevitable but the tweet boasted it to 1 week instead of 2 months.
i guess that guy must be now hiding from Sony's Hitmen, lmao.

Well done, Sony.
You spent eight years making this "game" and it was out for eight days before it was removed from stores with full refunds for anyone who bought it.
I am glad that totalsoup124 lost all their money. Though chances are, being reddit. That they are a bot.
Not only that, but they probably closed down their England and JP studios to pump money into this project for this end result. It needs be to reminded in their face until the end of time just how badly they messed up.
And Sony and all other idiot corpos will never learn :)
No it’s not just game. They had plan making cinema every week. They spend 8 years to create new IP like Overwatch, Dota, LOL. They are trying to build an universe of Concord. Now it’s in the void.
Sony bought the studio last year.

Second fastest game to shutdown with "the day before" holding first
They just had to port/remake killzone, or resistance, or bloodborne.
Sony has an infinite money glitch and instead they're choosing to burn money
They are doing the glitchless category 😂
@riofernando9414 damn wish I thought of that in my original comment 😅
Im loving that this mess went down in flames while the devs have their fingers in their ears and yelling to not listen to the trolling this game truely deserves. Its like that principal skinner scene where he was convincing himself it wasnt him but something else. Im sure there are memes of this somewhere by now.
Even Anthem was given a second chance. This is the biggest flop in gaming history. And I'm here for it
Is anthem makes money at the end?
@@riofernando9414 I doubt it given its development costs, but Iron Man: The Game definitely deserved better.
Anthem sold 2 million copies. It at least made some money.
1:55 2 seconds to load, 8 minutes to get a match, 2 weeks got out to get shut down. 8 years down the drain. Genius!

[×] Doubt
Tax write off incoming.
Doesn't matter. They still lost a shitton of money. They just have to pay less tax over their profits.
$3000 per year.
Is it possible to prevent it from happening by spreading out a LOT of pirated copies of the game so it'd be impossible to claim that it was "cleaned out"?
Tax write off isn't free money, how are people still so clueless about it
Are you all just kids that never paid tax yet or what?

300 players gone in the blink of an eye... and the whole world just f***ing watched.
