People rip into Cera for always playing the awkward teen but watching him here it actually looks far more impressive than in the film. Playing awkward characters is so difficult and he nails it. Watch him closely in AD, his reactions are perfect everytime. Very talented and underrated actor.
YoungGoldie agree seth was very bland he was funny and I'm sure the movie would still be good. But Jonah hill improvising his scenes made Seth steal the show.
Black Jesus Paul Rudd knows everybody, for all we know he was just bored passing by that room while eating a slice of pizza, glanced inside and decided to join right after he hi fived a security guard.
@jsndacruz I waiting for that line too and then was disappointed when I didn't hear it. I realized that this was the read-through which is done before the filming. It gives the film a unique tone which the on-set workers can't understand without "hearing the film" from the actors. Everyone will get a feel for the characters and vibe of the film, so they can see what scenes will need to be tailored or removed/added. This then line could have been added in after or ad-libbed. Great line! haha

just realised they changed helen to becca
Cera is the only one who sounds dead on to what he delivers in the movie. So much natural talent for this, it looks easy for him.
I love that you can pick out Seth Rogen and Bill Haders laugh
I'M JUST DRILLING HOLES.
LAST TWO WEEKS...FUCK IT
Best line in the whole movie😂
That was literally me in class last May before graduation lol
1:27 jonah's improv in the film gets me every time. "I'll be the iron chef of pounding VAJj"😂😂😂
the "read a fucking book" part was much funnier in the reading!
People never forget
nah that's elephants
Calm down Greg. It's fuckin soccer
I think the script was adjusted a lot but it seems like there were tons of adlib/improv moments that turned out to be gold
the one part of this i wish was in the movie is when Fogel says "Seth you're so predictable" . Also, Michael and Martha are basically in form already!
1:54 - they cut out "People don't forget.." ?!?!
That was one of the best lines!!
They didn't cut it out, it was likely added later to the script.
The script was so much worse during this!
They improv quite a bit when they're shooting
Seth Rogan and Adam Goldberg were like 14 when they wrote the script.
YoungGoldie agree seth was very bland he was funny and I'm sure the movie would still be good. But Jonah hill improvising his scenes made Seth steal the show.
YoungGoldie usually when the camara starts rolling actors go all out, sometimes improvising a couple lines that end up making the cut.
*looks at the sky*
"Where the fuck's my car?"
Is that paul rudd?
+Black Jesus yeah. he's probably a producer or just there for fun. he's good friends with apatow and seth and goldberg.
no...this is patrick!
Black Jesus Paul Rudd knows everybody, for all we know he was just bored passing by that room while eating a slice of pizza, glanced inside and decided to join right after he hi fived a security guard.
"--causing him to nail her DIRECTLY in the tit!"
I need to read the script, hahaha.
The final script was much better
the dialogue is said somewhat different it can change as you're shooting the scene sometimes improve really
PEOPLE DON'T FORGET!
Emma Stones cute little laugh at 3:14

get used to it sister !!!!!
1:57 "People Don't forget!"
purplenurps = I think this was the script they used. In an Apatow movie, the script is mostly the basic outline. Most of the lines are improved.
People don't forget.
5:56 - seth rogen laughing :D
does anyone have the full film read through? i would love to see the whole film read through.
just watch the movie with subtitles
Soo freaking funny!
Is that paul rudd at the end of the table?
+Moses Sanchez yeah. he's probably a producer or just there for fun. he's good friends with apatow and seth and goldberg.
godlike
Is that Paul Rudd all the way on the right? Who was he reading for?
I think he was the narrater
Her name changed to becca though..... lol.
i am godlike. this is godlike
Paul Rudd from 3:00 onwards far right
Wow, they punched this script the fuck up for the final movie
I am McLovin.
HELLAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@fourcous definitely not the first script because Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg wrote the first script in 1996.
Seal is the name of a british singer .. maybe thats why its funny..one name!
is that Paul Rudd on the far right, its doing my head in
it is paul rudd
Helen?
Lol theyre so funny!!! I love them all
Were they improvising? It seems like a lot of the stuff they said wasn't in the script.
i guess in 2006 this was pretty dirty and funnyy...but today freakin 9 year olds talk like this
nope things are exactly the same as they were in 2006, the world doesn't change much in 11 years, you've just gotten older.
Someone explain to me why the seal joke is funny?
one name!
man you need to expand your music knowledge, get out in the world abit
is this the first script? because becca's name here is helen.
is seth rogan in the room,?
yes, on the far left
Enrique De los santos yeah he and Judd Apatow wrote Superbad
*mouth
terrible reader but perfect on screen
If this was the actual script the movie would have sucked ass
