All things being equal, Bird is the goat outside shooter for me. But just to play some devil's advocate, he wasn't a great shooter from behind the arc his first four seasons after he severed a finger on his shooting hand.

@@LegacyUnveiledSports Kobe knew that consistent defensive intensity would come at the cost of his game. But NBA marketers gave him a first team defensive award before he even hit 1.5 steals because it's a marketing award.

9.5 assists back in the day was really good. They weren't doing nonsense like allowing assists five seconds after passing the ball.
Agreed. Almost better back then
Bird was the greatest. Idc what anyone says.
Definitely a strong lineup of great Celtics
Bird wasn't an excellent outside shooter? Seriously?
Amazing from outside but he honestly played inside much more when in game. He knew how to balance his game
This is what I think! Played more that way and didn’t focus outside in games.

Pierce had the exact same defensive stats as Kobe. One has zero all defensive teams awards and the other has twelve all defensive team awards.
My only thing is watching pierce, their defensive tenacity didn’t seem the same

Now I need to go back and watch a bunch of footage. Thanks for letting me know!

Bro, Kobe was better. Pierce was slow and faked injuries. Kobe was a beast and could win championships without a “big 3”
Bob cowsey?
Yeah, I know. Kinda lills the creditability when you can't pronounce the name of a hall of famer. Thses guys need to learn how to work their AIs.

Great advice! I’ll try that out. Thanks! I split half are ai and other half is real person. Just depends when my guy is available
I remember Bob Cowsey. Wasn't he the front man for The Cowsills? OTOH, serious problems exist with AI voices.
This video doesn't mention that blocks weren't recorded when Russell was playing.
Great point! How do you think he would have ranked all time if they were?
(Coozie)
That’s how I’ve always said it
Rondo was never the defensive player of the year
