Awesome insights! The Gamedev community here on TH-cam is really passionate, and willing to share knowledge and further the art form as a whole which is so awesome to see :D

if you want just general coding stuff then.
The Coding Train, mostly programed in java but everything can be carried over quite easily to any language you do use.
Crash Course (not per say code but has a REALLY good overview of computer science over it's entire lifetime) she really enforces the idea of abstraction.
Sebastian Lauge, ofc everyone most certainly knows him by now right? amazing tutorials, sadly some are not finished but the ones that are are amazingly well done.
Infallible Code, more to do with how you code rather then just the code.
Game Academy.school, sadly hasn't uploaded in a long time, more to do with Unity DOTS. so isn't really "general stuff", as such might not be useful to that many people.
      Code Monkey, great tutorials.
Board To Bits Games, recently found, great tutorials.
Holistic3d, she use to have a lot of great tutorials for free. she use to have a full minecraft clone tutorial. it's behind a paywall now however she still has a few other tutorials on her youtube but if you are willing to pay for tutorials i would look at what she has on her website (look for it in the about section on her youtube channel). she is a professor and it's quite clear when you listen to the tutorials. it's cheaper to go to sign up on her patreon page if anyone is willing to pay.
i love free tutorials, as it's massively helpful to get started, however sometimes it's nice to have a 10+ hour long running tutorial on something. most of these creators really don't get paid enough for what they put out there.
i have a feeling i missed a few others, which sucks. i was sure there where a lot more.....if anyone else wants to add to the list then be my guest!

For anyone in the comment section who is looking for Game Maker Studio 2 content, please check out Shaun Spalding. He's a GMS2 creator here on TH-cam who has amazing and high quality tutorials and other stuff, such as reviews on software made for game dev. While I have switched to Godot this year, last year when I first started game dev (Crazy to think it's already been a year!) I started with GMS2 and his channel was an immense help. I highly recommend his platformer series and his Action RPG series, not only does he _show_ you how to make stuff, but he goes line by line and _explains_ what everyone thing does. I hope this helps someone out, and happy game making!

One channel that I also recommend is Studio Blue, they are well known in the RPG Maker community and even though they play alot of RPG Maker games they have a great section on game development as a whole (such as using game design documents for example) that can be applied to any engine, they also have fire side chat streams that go into the gaming industry as well as there current game project that they are making in the Unreal Engine.

DevDuck is one of my resources, not because of his use of Godot (because I use Unity) but because of what he's achieved whilst doing Gamedev part-time and whenever I feel burnt out or find it hard to continue gamedev part-time, you re-inspire me to carry on. Thanks 😁

I'd offer a suggestion of Game Endeavour. Short, compressed videos on specific topics, but is very well presented. If I want to do something in godot I'll go there first as I know it'll be better implementation than others such as state machines health bars, etc.
