I've stopped caring about award shows back during the Xbox 360 era of gaming when you saw the worst games possible get 9.5+/10's and you saw decent games with a few flaws getting 5/10's. Once I saw that bullshit I knew the whole system of genuine reviews and genuine awards being given to people based upon merit and not trendy popularity was no longer in existence. It's just like anything on the internet that the main stream of society gets their greasy filthy hands on. Once they catch wind of it and see it's getting popular they latch onto it like a parasite and suck the entertainment medium dry and all that's left is "content creators/game devs" who are too afraid of offending/upsetting anyone or making a game they're genuinely passionate about and can make it become reality without the greedy publishers that control all the money in the industry being afraid of taking a risk on a new concept/game and instead re-hashing the same old boring ass Assassin's creed or Call of Duty or w/e other AAA game franchise they shit out every 2-3 years. It's a fucking bummer man to watch your hobby become popular/trendy with the main stream public. None of them give a shit about what makes the entertainment medium special and all of them are the most sensitive people imaginable so you no longer can make a genuine horror game or a genuine GTA for example like Rockstar has stated as being the reason they are delaying working on a new GTA in the current social/political climate. Honestly that's why "Indie" games have been some of the best games in the past 10 years because a lot of them are published and developed by the same company so they have no "big men" to tell them they don't have complete creative freedom over the game THEY are making. I'll say one last thing: Publishing companies are the WORST thing to happen to the gaming industry even above all the "sexism" bullshit people cry their eyes out about now.
I haven't watched the Oscars since the 90's. And even back then it was the only one that was somewhat decent. But it was obvious it was getting worse and worse as they had to get more politically correct.

TH-cam, and our "leaders" in general remind me of Satsuki Kiryuin from Kill-La-Kill.
They set up a system where if you're in, then you're rich, but if you're out, then you're screwed and GL getting in. You better basically be high school Le Bron James or someone who knows the correct someone else.
At least for Satsuki Kiryuin, she did have an alien race trying to wipe out the Earth to defeat. Our current leaders are just jerks letting their greed get the best of them. Personally I think after I made 50 million I'd probably retire forever. Or some amount of money that allows me to invest in property and get rent checks that amount to roughly 2 million a year or something.
