It was alright, but he couldn't even hit the harmonics right. Certainly not perfect.

Disagree, look up the little kid covering it. He is masterful for such a “young” age. No disrespect to this guy, he is awesome too. But you gotta see the kid.
Just watching his right hand is fascinating. He moves towards the fretboard or away to the bridge to alter the tone of the guitar at exactly the right moments.

Listening to this - however great Søren's performance is - you realise (again) what mastery James Hetfield has conjured up to write this piece in the first place.

Back in the day (mid 90s) myself and all my musical friends who played (with) a guitar played This very Beautiful Bit as a sort of test before our older, more skilled and savvy guitarists.
Nobody ever came close to the original.

Only one thing to say about this. This guy is absolutely incredible! There's no room for mistakes playing this way. You have no computer or any other device hiding your mistakes . This guy is the real deal and let me say he plays as close to perfection as you will get.

This song (forget the lyrics) this is a musical master piece. It is a modern classical work. Anyone who cant hear this in this rendition is deaf. You will see....40 years from now it will be played from the smallest to greatest guitarist. In bars to classical concert halls.

When I was younger, I feared metal. Metallica in particular. Then when I was in military training at 17 I was walking past the break area in front of my company and heard the sweetest, most melodic music that I had ever heard. I don't remember, but I believe it was "Orion". I walked over and asked what they were listening to and they looked at me as though I had just sprouted a second head. One answered, "It's Metallica." I was floored. "THAT'S Metallica?" One of my absolute favorite bands since.

When it comes to the part that says, "Never cared for what they say, never cared for what they do," he should have hit it a lot louder and harder. That's the most emotive part of this great song. Everything is is perfect.

Man. I want to be this good some day. To be able to just poor my soul into my guitar and hear it reciprocated in a way that it has never been when poured into anything else.
This was hidden by numerous noob guitarists, finally found some original masterpiece.
In my little town in New Zealand we have a trio of Madsens who have great concerts doing covers e.g. Bee Gees. That was beautiful Soren and I enjoyed it with a beer after a trying lockdown day.
