    1. Get yourself a good cut of lean meat (Eye of round is a good cost effective choice.)
    2. Trim off fat and silver skin and slice thin with the grain
    3. Mix marinade and submerge meat overnight (12-24 hours in frig)
    4. Place on grill for 3-4 hours at 180-200 degrees (extra smoke tube is not required)
    5. Pull off, let cool to room temp.
    6. Store in zip lock bag (in frig to last a bit longer... but it will be eaten in no time!)
    Marinade Ingredients:
    1T Garlic Power
    1T Onion Power
    1T SmokeHouse Maple (optional)
    1T Ground Pepper
1T Pepper Flakes (more to kick up the heat)
3/4 Brown Sugar (more if you want it sweet)
    1/4 Honey (optional)
1C Teriyaki Sauce (Hot is this case)
    1C Worcestershire Sauce
2C Soy Sauce (We use low sodium)
1 or 2 C water to increase volume (do this based on the amount of meat)
    Enjoy!

Looks good. You walked through the procedure real good. I've never done this myself so it's on my list.

My smoker requires wood chips. What kind of wood chips would you suggest? Hickory, Cherry or Apple wood? Thanks! 😊

I’m about to get a recteq. Do you find the 700 worth the cost? Does your light inside the grill work well after being caked in soot and grease? Thanks for the great video!

Yes... worth it!!! I love mine for 3 years now. The light does cake up quick but, I’ve never used it. Thanks for watching!

I use oven cleaner on the lens, remove it put it in the sink and coat it. Let it sit about 3-5 mins. Rinse off. Repeat if necessary. Works every time, no scrubbing required.

How long does the jerky last?

    • @ShawnBauer
      @ShawnBauer  ปีที่แล้ว

If you don’t vac seal or freeze, I’d say a week. But in my house it’s gone in 3 :)
