    • @BuyitBreakitFixit
      @BuyitBreakitFixit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tracks are worth picking up if you also buy the deep terrain tracks to pit on them. The original tracks have very little traction. The new deep lug tracks work great, how they should of been from the beginning. Thanks for watching. Really appreciate the comment also.

    @hemitj 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I don't think it was a completely fair comparison. You ran the tracks first multiple times through the mud and turned it all up before giving the tires a chance. To be fair you should have done one pass each. Or after you swapped to 2.2's and the mud had settled and it didn't make it, you should have ran the tracks again to see if they would make it through that mud consistency.

    • @BuyitBreakitFixit
      @BuyitBreakitFixit  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry about that. There is always something I mess up on. Makes sense though, what you said.

  • @DrBleck35
    @DrBleck35 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Are you using a regular brushed motor for this? If so, how are you keeping mud out of the motor? I bet if you ran some hose water through the motor (with it spinning). You wouldn't even have to take the motor out necessarily. Just hang it from the front bumper and spray clean water into the motor to get the mud out. For storage, spray distilled water into the can with it running, followed by the water dispersant lubricant of your choice (without the motor running so you don't accidentally blow down your house.

    • @BuyitBreakitFixit
      @BuyitBreakitFixit  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, that is how I clean it everytime. Unfortunately, running it thru the mud so much, seems like bearings are gone. When I took it out, I could wiggle the shaft back and forth, she had a good life. Hahaha

    • @DrBleck35
      @DrBleck35 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It seems like maybe, What we really need is a way to keep mud and water out of the motor entirely. If you know anyone with a CNC printer, you might be able to make the snorkel an active air intake to allow cooling air to access the motor once you invent a housing to keep mud and dirt out of the motor. RPM lookout.

    • @BuyitBreakitFixit
      @BuyitBreakitFixit  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DrBleck35 hmm, interesting, a brushed motor snorkel.

    • @DrBleck35
      @DrBleck35 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would also need a functional exhaust to get the hot air out away from the motor. How cool would it be to turn on a TRX for and feel the snorkel sucking in air and hot air coming out of the exhaust?

      Xmaxx is way to big for this mud hole. Haha. That would do it tho. I had an xmaxx but gave it away in a giveaway, also have the paddles for it and man does it go with them on.

    The tracks should not slip Kinda defeats the purpose of having them.

      I understand your point of view but it does say in the instructions that when they bind up, they will skip on the gear to prevent breaking other parts. Lol. Just saying. I do agree with you on them not skipping though

      Yeah, ok. I just dealt with a fb comment about this. You know they are tracks. Traxxs is a word used by Traxxas only. Please correct me.
