Fridge in corner, stove along front wall to keep the flow open. You spend more time at the stove, you don’t want to have your back to the entire downstairs.
Probably would have been easier to cut in the plumbing and electrical as they were building.
Probably an option for a small (no, not small) fee
Amish do not use electricity
@ they do in some situations. It just has to come from a generator. Don’t ask me why. I guess they feel like they’re not buying it from the English that way
@
I thought these cabins were Amish built and sold to the English.
I don’t think the Amish buy and live in these cabins.
@@craiglittle7367they build them but probably have to sub out any electrical or plumbing. That is only a guess on my part
great little cabin, and security and safety is always key to anyone thinking on a cabin. great commentary!
Beautiful Amish home. It wasn't built for the English in mind. It's purposely made to not have electricity or plumbing. It's beautiful just needs a cook stove in the kitchen and Avery sink added. The room off the kitchen is for cold storage and is not a bathroom. An outhouse or separate bathhouse would be built as well. The living room just needs a wood stove.
Beautiful! I like it.
We all need to back to the simple life !!!!
This is beautiful. The detail is amazing.
I agree, I really love their detail.
You said this was turnkey that means ready to move in this doesn't look turnkey?
I thought the same…no outlets, no sink, no bathroom?
She said that this was $105k but turnkey was $135.
At the video beginning she clearly mentions this is a turnkey home; $105,000, or $135,000 fully finished. Turnkey for the Amish simply means the interior has all walls, cabinets, and doors.
That price is insane
@@dianakidd4219 See, that's the fun thing about a marketplace: that what is the best decision for buyers might be an insane choice for onlookers and window shoppers.
@@dianakidd4219The price as is, is about 79,000. If you want it wired for electricity you’ll pay an extra 10,000 since it’s Amish built and the Amish don’t believe in using electricity. They have to get an electrical contractor to put it in. Then, if you have it shipped to another state, you’ll pay another 8 thou or so for that. This isn’t a ticky tack house stick built. It’s solid logs, squared off. It’s not for everyone but you’ll never find a more solid house unless you build your own log house.
Yes, you are correct, I should have mentioned that.
Looks very well built. Seems if you want electric it needs to be surface mount. Also plumbing would be difficult to retro fit. I live near Amish community and deal with them often....always positive. But if they want to sell to the 'English' changes need to be made. Thanks for the tour.
I would love to turn my house down and buy that and put it on my property. It is so gorgeous.
For that kind of money I expect there to be a plumbed kitchen sink, shower, toilet and br sink. Also all electrical would have to be ran in conduet and would look hideous. The wire alone would cost a fortune. I mean, its easy enough to do but for a basic shell only home... thats too much money.
Hmm, no electrical and no plumbing???
No closets in bedrooms?
It has no electric ( no outlets or wring )
No heat ( no baseboard ) no fireplace
It has no ac
It has no plumbing
Probably no roof insulation, no closets, no appliances, no sinks or bathroom fixtures....
It's a shed!
@ I think it’s nice
But it has to have plumbing and electrical
Even if they just supply the openings for it.
It's a $105,000 and it will last three generations +. Add your wish list and you more than double the price. Oh, those solid wood logs will give you more insulation the your modern stick house.
@@jamesduncan578 Comical. Those "solid wood logs", how thick are they? Check the R value and get back to me.
Beautiful! Could be finished to the taste of the buyer rather than the typical tearout and redo which happens routinely.
Those are the thinnest interior doors ever! How soon do you think they will warp?
Needs a place for a table would make 1st floor open concept with 1/2 bath and full bath upstairs with plumbing and electric and heating
Any electricity?? I don't see outlets or lights.
Looks well built absolutely beautiful ! Do they move it to eastern montana?
Yes they do
Thanks 🙏
How many sq. Feet is this home?
Make this a Gambrel roof building.
Not sure I’d want the bathroom so near the kitchen, and didn’t see a light or outlets anywhere?
They don't put the outlets in for display purposes. You can have solar added when you get it.Put in on your site
It's Amish built. They don't do indoor plumbing or electric.
@@nancyhenry3203 yes the company works with the amish and they build it but they have people that deliver to your site and put it together and they can put the plumbing or electrical in it
There are no electrical outlets or plumbing fixtures. It would be a major task to install them.
Propane, solar...or some may want off grid.
Could be nice if it had electric, plumbing, closets, I wouldn't want it.
Bathroom off the kitchen? No
1 closet?
Agree with too much wood. I also don’t like the placement of the back door. I guess a pistol house instead of shotgun house. Maybe place the door in the small bathroom, laundry…mudroom.
My opinion NOT turnkey! Also too much WOOD!! To each their own!! Love the front porch!!
Nice but I don't see any electrical outlets.
They don't put them in the model, they put them in when they are building it for you.
I love it, but a bathroom should always be on the same floor as the bedroom.
find a different presenter!
Yep, I had to mute it 1/3 of the way through. I like looking at houses but not with much commentary!
I vetoed the sound very quickly but reading her “suggestions/opinions made me equally grouchy. 🤣😂
Where's all of the electrical, no plugs????
@@evalynchuran8684 they don’t put them in the model they put them in the one they build for you
Needs wiring and plumbing and hvac. Nice with another $40 - $50 thousand.
No plumbing or electric can't be a turn key. It has to be moved and those two things done
Just one question for the videographer? Why would anyone want their pantry in the same room as the toilet? Doesn't make me want to eat anything.😢
A bathroom or a pantry was what it was supposed to say
NOT ONE outlet installed or water line plumbed in!??
There was the shell, then the turn key.
Zero rough ins for plumbing & electric and I don't think the Amish builders gave a moment's thought to the size of the kitchen & laundry appliances we English use. Unless you want to go totally off grid you'd face some issues with this build.
No bathrooms?
There is a bathroom. They just don't put it together on their lot. There is a room for where the bathroom can be
Hier fehlt aber einiges! Wo ist der Kamin, die Steckdosen, die Waschbecken, die Toilette, das Spühlbecken? Vermisse das alles! So könnte ich nicht einziehen!
Not turnkey. I don’t see one electrical outlet in the place.
I would have them enclose the upstairs on the kitchen side for a nice sitting area or extra storage. This would be a perfect little air B & B situation or vacation cabin as a nice, comfortable get away. Rent it enjoy it and have it paid off in 4 or % years.
I like your idea!
God is the greatest creator. He created each of us. How amazing. The Bible tells us that he created us for his good pleasure. He sent his son to die for our sins. Jesus wants us to be a part of God's family. He tells us "I am the way , the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me. ". John 14:6. If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, please call on him now. Ask him to forgive your sins and save you. For all of us , heaven with the Lord God Almighty or hell with Satan. Please choose Jesus.
Not a 2 story. That is a 1 1/2 story
No electrical or plumbing. But it is a beautiful home.
There's a company here where I live in Haleyville Alabama they make that wood furniture like that swing but it's got a clear coat looks real good the name of the company is would for you. It's in Winston county Alabama little community called pebble.
If you send me the address, I may check it out
Not turnkey. I hate the area in the corner for the stove. Splatters on the wall, pot handles will have to be turned , elbow room not to mention your back is to the entire downstairs. Electric not run, not plumbed doesn’t qualify as turnkey.
Also, in a tiny house, the upper floor plan is largely wasted space with the openings to the main floor!
Stairs to upstairs😂
There's no electrical outlets
Over $100,00]..NO thank you
There's no outlets
I can’t fathom carrying anything up the stairs.
That’s a depressing looking house. Putting electric and plumbing in will cost as much as the house
Not turn key. Basically a shed. I think the Amish craftsmanship has been played up a bit too much today
Not a single closet in that house. It's a NO for me.
Certainly not a "turnkey" log home... no electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc...
No plumbing no electrical no wood stove. Don't like bathroom.
I would not want everything in wood, and those kitchen cabinets are ugly hardly any storage and there is no closet space or storage either in the entire house, not impressed personally
Damn, the things you say 🙄
Sorry, but I do not find it attractive at all.....
These are not turnkey !
NOT "TURN-KEY"!! It may be well built, but very generic looking inside & out....... Quite ugly, actually!! It has a very" commercialized / kit " assembly FEEL to it....... NO THANKS!! 👎
I believe they are hoping you can use your imagination to make it your own when you decorate it & put your own stamp on it.
This is a nice home but not turnkey.
Terrible design. No closets. Only bathroom is next to the kitchen.
Not turnkey as presented nor worth the asking price.
That cat walk is such wasted space I would enclosed the side that you look over where the front door is have floor all the way go across that waste of space when you’re gonna have more floor space
