The idea that you need to run utilities is a bit more complicated. Each state is different, but even off grid, requires setup. No instillation either? No wood stove? Sorry, this is not a good investment.

Kinda expensive if you have to finish it and put in plumbing and electricity.

This house is way better than all these expensive tiny homes. It needs a few modern things. Wood collects dust alot and cobwebs making it a pain, but still much nicer than a walk in closet sold as a home.

I can’t figure out the Yurt 🛖 lol, I live in Texas not to far from the monolithic home builder, they look like igloos so to speak, and they can be built into a hill (or partially covered with dirt and grass) so perfect for tornado prone areas, and from what I understand they are very energy efficient, but it’s the round dome that throws off my square brain 😂 🤤

Now see you immediately had me rethink my idea, I was just thinking about that open area opposite the stairs as wasted space, maybe put flooring in, and make it a closet or storage, BUT I too like to have a plan, BUT I would have to make the room downstairs the primary bedroom, my husband can’t climb stairs, but, I’d like to be able to see down too!!

This is different, it might be a good solution for a hunting lease, make it two units, put the bathrooms right in the middle where the divider wall is, very small just shower, sink and toilet. Then kitchenettes and a studio set up so there’s not a dedicated room. I am a little unsure about the dormers, they are just for aesthetics I guess, like most homes anymore, I’d probably skip the expense, but a very unique building that’s for sure. Oh, I could also see it being 1/2 living quarters and 1/2 storage for atv’s and gear

A natures head composting toilet, I’d do a split “bathroom” so on the left of the bedroom doorway I would install a very small shower, 30X30 or similar, and on the right side of the bedroom doorway I’d put a small “water closet” basically a closet with a composting toilet. The kitchen sink is where I’d brush my teeth. It wouldn’t cost much to plumb the shower/kitchen sink with an on demand water heater, there are propane systems available. As far as the cooking, I’d have a grill outside, and inside, instead of a stove top, I’d put a double induction or electric stove that I can store away when not using it. Then that counter space could double as a work space. I think I would consider putting a wall up on the porch on one side, maybe 1/2 the depth, and have an outdoor kitchen space. That little shed is so cute, lots of potential, thanks for showing it and the price sheet! Edited to clarify, sorry I didn’t convey my thoughts very well, the shower would be almost like a closet, so I closed the door would be to the left of the bedroom doorway so you could turn left into the shower, I couldn’t tell how many inches were from the left side of the bedroom door to the wall, so even a smaller shower pan, 30”x24” might fit, then where the composting toilet is, the doors would face each other, there might be enough room to put a small hand sink and some shelves above the toilet. This probably doesn’t make any sense lol!

Plumbing would determine where ‘kitchen’ and bath goes. Also looks like they put in a specially wired box for washer/dryer.

It’s really only a two bedroom home. The downstairs xtra room has no closet so cannot be considered a bedroom. 1 bathroom? None upstairs? I would be pulling out my hair 😱😱😱

Just not that impressed with the floor plan.

Love the house. I would have that on a funky foundation with a daylight basement and use part of that for laundry. First floor would be a bathroom. Shower, no tub. The rest of that room would be a pantry. The roof would have two dormers on each for cross ventilation upstairs and both bedrooms would be finished off.

Definitely not a northern type cabin. We don't have too many outhouses left up here in snow country.

It needs solar power and a few mini splits.

I love the wood but I think it would get to me after a while. I'd want to paint part of the kitchen white to brighten it up. The floors are gleaming! Wondering if that staircase is up to code.

Has the bones to be a great off grid cabin. You said a repo so i don't think you get that electrical work included in their new model prices, so a little head start there. I'd sacrifice smaller bedroom for larger living space.

The Amish were definitely gifted by God.

Biggest problems: no closets, only one bathroom and it's right beside the kitchen instead of near the bedrooms. I'd also like a wider porch, at least 8 ft, preferably 10 ft wide. It's very pretty though. I love all the wood.

No wiring, no plumbing and no hvac. To put it in would destroy the look. Also no insulation.

If you want it finshed, ie, plumbed, electricity built in(difficult in log cabins w/o added paneling) you'd work with the builder BEFORE its built - not after
