Hi Todd, awesome video of the northern Harrier pair hunting together. And great job editing your clips.
That area is big! And they never come that close to get great photos.
I was able to get some shots of a pair up there too. It was nice to chat with you that day.
Please keep up the great content.
Thanks for watching and for the comment, it was great to chat with you as well!
Todd - I'm so happy you found this WMA. I've been going there for years and wanted to see you make a video there. Do you think the harriers will stay around if there is snow cover?
The mood of this area is really nice! Great footage and photos 👌
Thank you for watching!
Great great captures🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you as always!
Good day afield, Todd, and a good several hours of good editing. Thank you.
Thank you I appreciate it!
Wonderful shot Todd, l love those brown and tawny tones!
Thank you for watching!
Gorgeous birds thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Well done sun.
Thank you I appreciate it!
Very inspiring. You're the reason I plan to buy the Nikon Z 180-600. I'm also a New Englander (MA).
Thanks for watching! I am glad you found it inspiring, The 180-600 is a great lens!
Nicely done, Todd!
Thank you I really appreciate it!
Beautiful video!
Thank you very much!
Watching them fly and soar - mesmerizing! Thank you for sharing this great film!
Thanks for watching and for the comment! I am glad you enjoyed!
Nice video
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Are you using the Nikon Z 400mm f2.8 tc? I have the Nikon Z600mm f4 tc and that might have been helpful in this instance. At 840mm and f5.6 the built-in tc is amazing.
Thanks for watching! Yes I have the 400 2.8. For this instance the longer reach of the 600 would have been helpful, but for most of my shooting I prefer the 400 with f2.8. I have found the 400 works very well with both internal and external tcs so I can't complain.
Todd, Great video clips & stills on a misty winter day. Fantastic examples of how putting up with some weather can pay huge dividends. You’re always mindful of caring for the wildlife you photograph - I commend you! Thank you for sharing. What brand CFExpress card do you use?
Thanks for watching and for the comment! I use either a Lexar CF express cards or I use an Exascend Cf Express card as my main high capacity 1 TB card. I have never had an issue with either of them.
Todd - What brand & power binoculars are you using for bird spotting? Thanks!
I have the vortex optics binoculars at 10x. They are the crossfire model. If I were to get them again I would get the 8x as I primarily use them to find where wildlife is rather than identifying the species and the 10x introduces a lot of shake. Thanks for watching!
Hey Todd! Really nice video. Always enjoy them!
Wondering if you might suggest if the 600 pf or 800 pf is a better one lens solution for NJ ignoring the price? I was thinking 800 pf is better with the larger aperture but I am not sure how often it might run into atmospherics issues or is limited fov for bif.
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for watching! That is a great and hard question. I think it would come down to what species you are likely to photograph and where, and what type of photograph you want to make. If you are looking to photograph mostly small birds or wildlife, want close portraits, or the wildlife is very skittish near you I would suggest the 800 pf. If you are looking for a little more versatility the 600 may be a better choice as it allows you still get portraits but the fov is easier to frame moving subjects in. I have heard great things about both lenses so I don't think you would regret it!
