- Quest 3 downloaded an update for the headset and controllers. The headset and right controller updated successfully. The left controller's update failed. It won't connect now. There's a white light that blinks. Don't know how to fix it.
FIXED:
I fixed it the issue by factory resetting the headset. Go to settings in the headset and select factory reset. You can use your hands if none of your controllers are working. If you can't get to settings using one controller or your hands then you will have to take the battery out of one controller then using the Quest app on your phone go to settings then select headset settings. Select the controller you took the battery out of and remove it. Once it's removed, add it again then insert the battery while pressing all the buttons down on the controller until you see a light go on or it vibrates. This worked for me and then the controller updated but the issue was when I added the other controller it would mess up again. I factory reset it after this and I didn't even have to add the controllers it just worked.

Go onto your meta app, click your headset then scroll down to headset settings, once’s you did that select controller setting and choose the controller that is having issues and click unpair, once’s unpaired click the oculus button or menu button (depending on which controller is bugging) and this should start an update which the progress is viewable on top of the meta screen in your headset. Once update is finish you should be good to go. if this didn’t work reply to this comment and stay notified for a reply.
Thank you!!! 🙏🏼

I reset mine a few times then it worked.
Thx Bro You Saved My Life
Does he mean resetting the headset a few times?@@olaola5306
I've been stuck in this predicament for five months my quest 3 controllers have not been working put new battery's bought the thing from game stop on December"last year" EVEN GOT A WARNTY ON IT AND THEY WOULD ACCEPT IT AND NO COMPAIONSATION AND WARNTY WAS NOT EXPIRED BUT RATHER THE SERIAL NUMBER OF THE PRODUCT THAT THEY SOLD ME DID NOT MATCH THE RECPIT...
But atlast my pleases go unheard and the more desperate i get commenting paragraphs on reddit, YT SHORTS, etc
Nah bro I’m in the same shit the ppl at game stop said my warranty got cancelled but it hasn’t been a year. So, to fix your problem it’s probably your motherboard got all wet from gorilla tag or your battery slot is dirty. Either way you should get it brought in to a tech professional.
Yep me too. Has anyone tried the pro controllers?
What’s diff in the controllers that come with the meta 3 & pro ones? Thought they were only for meta quest pro didn’t kno u could use them with meta 3
at least for me restarting the headset should work
So my controllers are fine but a weird thing happened I was playing beat saver and smacked the controller on a table and it said battery died instantly. Then I removed the battery and put it back in and it works but there is a weird thing. My right controller battery is less then my left when they were both the same and put in at the same time. I have no idea why it’s just what happens
I tried to do the same it didn’t work should I get new batteries or something?
@abdullahaldaoud105 I have rechargeable batteries in right now. Try switching to regular new batteries on one controller at a time so the headset can sync battery life. When I had my controller issue and switch to regular batteries, one of the controllers worked but when I added regular batteries to the other one it caused the same issue.
@@Redrum215_ did you drop it before
@user-dz7tv8ky5f No, they were new. Did an update and it happened.
Same
Anyons figure this out?
My sons too
My won’t to but it is both of them
