You’re missing the 8 gauge and the allusive 4 gauge which is absolutely monstrous. No one makes them. They’re all classic American colonial style shotguns

They make a 4 gauge Avalanche gun but you have to be a part of a outdoor Wildlife Management in Mountain Country or like a ski resort to get them. They're basically to cause Avalanches from a safe distance.

He used minute rice with frozen peas and carrots. The only things in the rice that were any good were the protein and the fresh green onions. Also when you make chicken fried rice your supposed to use rice from the day before.
I’d recommend trying to shot 5 or 4 just because theirs more power behind the bb’s with them

Would you ever consider doing a 10 min video or 20 min quick filler video about how you trained her, Id definitely love to know and teach my black lab, as my dog loves learning new things, i just have no idea how to train her for this kinda stuff, especially when im new to hunting myself. All in all great video, now just remember YUM YUM sauce and other condiments for the silo. Also all your seasonings. If you just watch through old TH-cam videos he's pretty much filmed the whole process of training her. I have a 28 gauge as well and they're definitely not a pheasant gun. They're good for quail and smaller birds but that's it

@flair you need to Give your chickens plenty of fresh greens to increase the lutein in their yolks. The darker the green the better, so I often fix them a feast of edible amaranth (one of my favorite summer greens), kale, mustard greens, broccoli leaves, or whatever I happen to have growing in my garden.
I was going to say the same thing I feed my chickens any spare greens I have. And my yolks are always orange.
Insects and greens (grasses) will make your yokes richer.

Flair, I might not be correct but this is what me, my dad, and everyone else I’ve talked too does but, for pheasant hunting you should be using 4 to 6 shot ideally. The biggest you’d want to use would be like 2 and the smallest like 6. 7 1/2 shot is too small, and that’s what you would use for trap loads and maybe even dove.

I always use sesame oil and that seems to be where 80% of the flavor comes from. I also use the green ends of the green onion on top afterwards. Love the video! Looking forward to a cookbook!

I think 16 and 28 gauge are making a comeback with these newer non toxic shells for waterfowl that hit just as hard of not harder then lead but won’t blow out you’re shoulder if you’re a younger kid or 45+
I switched to a 20 gauge for the same reason, my pecker ain’t the same length as my shell, so why brag I shoot 3.5in 112 gauge? Hits tighter and harder than a 12 with the number of pellets with less kick

Hey Flair…long time viewer of your channel from South Carolina. I am an avid duck hunter whk has been all over the country bird hunting. I use a dog and wanted to give you a tip about hunting with dogs. I have found that giving your dog a reward after retrieving or fleshing helps the dog realize they did a good job. I keep treats in my pocket while I hunt to give to my lab while I hunt after she retrieves birds for me. Just a quick tip that I use that may help you out. Love the content Flair. Would love to reach out and talk about bird hunting with you.

I've cooked a lot of fried rice in my day, it helps to use rice that has been sitting open in the fridge overnight to dry it out if you don't want it to be sticky. To get better flavor add some sesame oil or seeds for that authentic Hibachi flavor and add some salt as salt is the main flavor enhancer in fried rice. For soy sauce it usually takes a bit more than you would think, but there is a line. You want enough soy sauce to create flavor but not too much to overpower everything else in the rice. Once you have enough soy sauce only use salt to change the flavor. Also cutting your vegetables smaller and cooking them in olive oil adds more flavor that bleeds out of them when sautéing, so that could help with more flavor.

There's an 8 gauge and a 4 gauge. But from my understanding they're older gauges that aren't used anymore but you can still buy them occasionally.

I actually just acquired a gauge I have been looking for, for years...a 32 gauge. Federal still makes current production ammo for it as well.
I have been trying to find both the 32 gauge, and the 24 gauge, for many years. As of now, I have one down (the 32) and one to still find (the 24). Both gauges, Federal, Rio, Fiocchi, and one or two others, still make current ammo for, and is pretty easy to find.
Nice i also picked up and 32ga few weeks ago at a gun show. Actually its and 32ga special designed to shoot tranc. Darts. It has and full chamber and a rifled barrel. Im waiting on my hulls wads cards and roll crimper to be shipped from BP.
It has and true .50 bore witch i will be casting and powder coating my own bullets. Round balls and maxi balls mostly.

They at one point actually made an 8 Guage. I have seen one once years ago. They also made a shot gun in 1918 called a rat gun. There was only 18 of them made and my brother inherited the one my dad had. The shell for it is just a hair larger then a 22 bullet. They were made to shoot rats in the new York sewers. It is a single shot.
A couple different manufacturers made 8 gauges back in the day. They aren't legal to hunt with modern day unfortunately and nobody makes modern ammo for them

Flair with the hatfields they’re not ready for the field right of the box. They have to be taken apart and cleaned and lubed good before shooting. That’s why it wouldn’t load and kept jamming. Also to really break it in shoot heavy loads the first 50 or so shots. Just thought I’d help u out. I love my hatfield but i did first hate it but once i cleaned it good and it never jammed again. Keep up the great content🤙

Flair you forgot about the 8 gauge shotty. One step bigger than a 10 gauge. I have one! Single shot and blows your shoulder off lol
Unfortunately you are also missing an 8 gauge (very rare) and a 4 gauge (extremely rare) and a punt gun (almost impossible to find). 10 gauge is actually probably the biggest you will ever need, so essentially you do have all of the more common ones now.

28 has actually gotten popular for waterfowl hunting. Hevi shot 3 inch in a SBE 3 28 gauge has gotten a lot of ducks the last few years
I think every episode should have a part called 'The Macey Minute' where she shares some wisdom with Flair, for example, Don't eat the white part of that raw....it's too spicey.
Love the content with the 28 gauge. Only problem is the that Hatfield brand shotties are the worst no matter what gauge they are.

White rice day old, extra dark soy sauce, 2 table spoons of oyster sauce and sesame oil will make the best fried rice you have ever tasted. Cook your meat and onions in the sesame oil a few table spoons. Then cook eggs off to the side then add the rice, soy and oyster sauce. Mix and fry it all up then add the vegetables till there done. Add salt and pepper too taste.

Flair get the bagged Jasmine rice boil for 10mins and cover for 10-30mins and it’ll be dried out. I make fried rice every week that way!

You are 100% right day old rice is best. Also, Jasmine rice is my personal favorite. Basmati is very good too. If you can't do day old rice, buy a steamer. Steam it and refrigerate then use for fried rice.

I got my dad a Hatfield 410, same issue. Had to take it apart and send the bolt assembly in to be replaced.
I worked at a gun shop for years, I sold a ton of Hatfield shotguns because they were low cost. You get what you pay for guys :)
Life long upland guy here I’m sure I’m not telling you anything but I bring water even for short hunts. Heat stroke is terrible to watch with dogs. Big time COX vest would be awesome. Maybe full COX upland line????
