I started using your singing straw after taking a long break from singing. I can tell you that by using it, for just 2 weeks or so, it has greatly improved and possibly passed how far along I was with my singing lessons the last time. I find myself singing songs so effortlessly, lines that were once strenuous sound so much more natural. The straw is real. Thanks for the videos and straws.
Pleasantly surprised and informative. I've heard a lot about "nasality" (it's good vs. it's bad) but never really knew how to get a sense of the degree one can have it; now I know.
I love what you do! Thank you, for sharing your gifts. All of your videos are easy to understand, and informative. I appreciate this technical video, so much! I think it’s always beneficial to be reminded of the basics, as there is always something new one can take away and apply. It helps cultivate mindfulness, which I find to be a vital component of singing. And plus, it validates just one more way the straw is benefiting our voices. I hope you continue create both kinds of videos! We all learn things differently and both are so valuable. Please continue to do what you do, because you do it so well!
Thank you for your explanation of nasal and how changing the placement of the soft palate changes where the sound comes out. Im trying to learn to control my soft palate placement. Noticing that the straw has been helping. What exercises can you recommend? Also, do you have a video running through an exercise that works on creating more nasal and no nasal - creating more balance and control so that I can use it in my songs as stylistic tools. Hope that made sense. Thank you again for your help and answering my questions. Very much appreciated 😊
I am thinking about removing my adenoids and tonsils. They've been my enemies in singing unless I shrink them temporarily with a strong saline rinse. Also, the straw promises to help a lot
The straw can definitely help with a ton when it comes to healing and strengthening your voice! Keep us posted, and always consult your doctor for medical advice! :)
Thanks for this amazing video . I have a question . My range is d3 to d6 I can sing whole notes , but I struggle with c5 , I don't know what should I do 😭(sorry for my bad English)
Totally get it, C5 is a tough note to balance! Continue working on it with the straw, sustain there - then try different exercises where you approach the note from above and below. It will get easier in time!
Could be a lot of factors!! Do you notice that you do anything differently on the days that your voice feels hoarse? Such as the amount of fluids you're drinking or using your voice more than usual?
@@SingingStraw if i remember correctly....if i dont use my voice often than the deepness is not there but even after warming up it isnt that deep....but after few days....it get really deep and goes on for days....i think its cause of using a lot sometimes
