Thank you very much for this helpful video. However, I have two ideas for optimization: 1. The pole covers can be left on during the installation of the new battery until just before the cables are attached. This protects the new battery from short circuiting (03:55) and 2. the error codes are not deleted. Otherwise, it's great. Thanks again with best wishes from Germany.

hi normally 70Ah but better check it before buy a battery ,you can remove only the small plastik on the top and you can see the battery and read the number! thank you !

Truly I don’t remember what happened after the process! But I think the settings will be deleted! I am not sure if the system will work on the old settings or not…. Be prepared for something like this! Thank you for the positive feedback!😊 I think if you do the process quickly ( let the car to go on safe mode, turn ignition off and the key out of the car) then everything will be fine!

hallo ! its not necessary to coding programming the battery if you will install one with the same Ah.if you want to charge it better disconnect it and charge it separatly! Thank you

Great video thank you so much. By the way is it the same location for F44? My battery actually show blue light on the dash. When I jump the car can run 2 hours no problem but once i turn off. I will need a jump start to start the car again. Do you know what component is responsible for that? My car is 2022 bmw 228i. Thanks
Hi! Yes the F44 has also the Battery in same location ( only the cover is a little bit different) ! If the problem is direct after the turn off (or few minutes after) I think it’s time to change the battery! Sadly the new batteries has a very bad quality and after a cold weather or a long no use or the vehicle that happens ! Otherwise maybe you have an electrician lost somewhere….
@CARSPARTSTOOLS thank you for your reply and advice. I will say the car even after 2 to 3 hours run once it turned off, it won't turn right back on unless you have jump starter connected.
@CARSPARTSTOOLS yes it was the negative terminal was disconnected. Now I don't know how the car been starting even driving without the negative terminal connected or the vehicle has 2 batteries, I'm really surprised but I connected back and everything works like it should. Thank you so much

Hello! In Bmw 2 F45 you can put maximum a 70Ah battery because you have no space for bigger! In this Video is a 218d and I think you need also a 70Ah AGM battery! Thank you 😊

@CARSPARTSTOOLS I was told you have to let the computer know that it's a new battery so it sends the correct amount of charger to the new battery or it can send to much and damage the cars electrical and could get lights on dash
You have right! But the battery management check the current voltage and endurance of the system so it’s not necessary to program it like a new battery! I try to show how to DIY ! Of course it’s recommended to use a diagnostic tool to program it! But in my own experience its really needed only in some cases!

Hi ! In diesem Fahrzeug habe ich nicht überbrückt…. Und alle die Daten von Fahrer waren nicht gelöscht!Das Board Computer hat auch eine kleine Speicher für Notfall. Das Uhrzeit wird auch automatisch via Radio eingestellt! Wichtig ist,dass die Minus pol erst abklemmen und zum Schluss einklemmen! At 2.55min i don’t see any cable, maybe you mean the grey hose that I removed, this is for the battery condensed water to flow away separately ! I hope i have understood right 😊
In this car I have change the battery because of Start Stop Function was not working! Sometime it will be completely discharged and it will never Start the engine! I have Already a Video with a X1 battery replacement 😉so you can watch it! The process is almost the same! In the new generation vehicles with the AGM and EFB batteries the problem is very common! The can work with Start Stop function 4 or 5 years maximum, sometimes less! Thank you 😊

Do not forget for everybody .... after change battery,clean with BMW program all faults and very important make battery registration,car need to know how many electricity can take from new battery!
Hi ! Battery programming or coding is nessesary only if you install a higher or lower capacity battery (Ah) if you install a exactly same battery as the original,(or a original battery) there is no nessesary to do this process! The battery management is not so smart like some people think, but of course if you manipulate the battery capacity is very important to program the system again !that happened if you install a wrong battery OR (the big mistake) to install a alternator of bad quality, that can damage the management! Thank you for your comment! And to everybody also don’t buy cheap parts for your cars!!! Even a battery, or a air filter!sometimes we can make more damage with a cheap bad quality part !

Normally, socket 8mm, 10mm , 13mm, slot screwdriver for the filter and something to remove the plastic clips ( screwdriver or a special tool *)
