    Macaé is one of the most silent people in some neighborhoods, in general is quiet and calm, but still got a lot of crime.

      Thank you for sharing this information. I didn’t spend a lot of time in Macaé, but it seemed very calm and laid back other than a few incidents that I mentioned. But these same types of incidents happen regularly around night clubs in the U.S. once people start drinking. What I didn’t see were serious violent crimes. That is what was surprising to learn because the city seemed pretty calm for the most part.

      @@dcdevio it´s a cultural thing that in brazil you should be always aware, not because of what it looks like to be, but because of what you don´t know that could be, like who the guy fighting you is, he easily could get ego harmed and try to kill you for that, even if you beat the guy up in hand, he could go to his car and get the piece pretty fast hahaha

      @@antoniomarcus3675 I did notice that unlike in Rio de Janeiro city and São Paulo, every bar and club in Macaé searched me for weapons before I could enter.
