They already said that in the full release the hitstop and weapon feel in general will be juiced up and way way more polished... That was the only worry i had for wilds.
Im ngl… I have heard SO many different defenitions to the term “hit stop” and what (supposedly) made it so great in world. Some people say it stopping for too long, others say its too short, some say it stops instead of slowing down, some say its meant to stop. Its all over the place and i’de prefer if the devs focused on more important stuff that a weapons standing still for a second or two.
Great vid. Great eye. As a greatsword user I'm surprised to see someone say they're iffy. I thought GS felt so good I would buy the game for that alone. Even with 0 skills
It's like the devs heard everyone complain about hitlag and decided to just freeze the hunter just to appease the players, we should expect more effort than this from the most anticipated game for 2025!
not a greatsword user but i also noticed in the new footage that the hitstop on the insect glaive's helicopter spin is way too strong, fully stopping you midair when a move like that needs a bit of a lighter touch. never realized that in world it's more of a slowdown, good analysis!
I'm curious to see that on IG. In Rise there wasn't much normally BUT you can get a counter in the air if the very last part of the helicopter occurs right as you would get hit, there's a huge hitstop and you bounce back up.
They also need to buff the motion value a bit more on TCS. I know its easier to land and they also buffed the charged slash and charged strong slash but looking at speedruns it seems players don't use TCS often at all for fast clear times.
It makes sense. They made the move spammable, so now finally people might need to learn the entire toolkit the weapon has to deal good damage, instead of just blindly throwing it.
@napolitan271 A slight increase in motion value is what I want so we don't lose wakeup hits to hammer. Though I truly think they went the wrong direction with greatsword compared to world or even MHFU/MHGU. The weapon not only feels less impactful but also way too easy to use. So far Wilds, going off the beta alone, has the worst version of greatsword imho. No need to predict or properly position when you can completely 180 your charge attacks.
Just like in Rise, where they made the charges slower even with Focus 3, to give some sense of weight, only to completely remove the weight of the actual TCS hit. Probably because they want to make it easier for people to just spam it and land without a high skill requirement. Also, off-topic, but where are the colors of Wilds? For a game so graphically intense, you just can't see these graphics (somehow World is looking better?).
No it doesn't. All of world's areas look like they all have a tint to them. And the colors look washed whereas all three areas we have seen in Wilds look really good. It looks realistic while having a unique art style. All of it looks so much better that it's not even close. I dunno where this complaint keeps coming from. Is it because of the bad performance or something?
I honestly hate hitstop makes me feel laggy. Hitstop is dumb to be honest. The beta was better then their woke b.s to make yall bitchy people happy. The devs wasted time on finishing the game to make you feel laggy. Thanks community 😂

Best explantation I've seen so far. And with eye for detail!
i hope this really gets out there! you should post this on the subreddit
biiiiiiig agree with your takes, also wish the gs didnt sound like a floppy fish when you hit an enemy in wilds

Bro has a point

Also the sound is worse for manny weapons. And some weapons dont even have screan shake. I really hope they fix that.
Yeah man.. Charge blade feels weird..IDK why
@@MacaronSamaTV charge blade has special effects especially for ice element

I really don't see a difference after the previews honestly

You know I also thought world looks better for some reason
All my friends say world looks worse but idk what it is but it just looks so much more better
they need to add some saturation and not make the sandstorms white and grey and instead look like something outta the dune movies

it's okay, just don't play the game
Cry harder
"then their woke b.s " the fuck are you even talking about.
Holy rage bait
bro is rarded
Perhaps there should be a monster shake when there's connect with a monster and a ground shake when there's connect with the ground.
