I can't agree with Carlos Martin's reasons for considering Christianity better than Islam or Hinduism. He's using Occidental or west centric arguments to prop up his belief. Muslim and Hindu soup kitchens DO exist and they ARE open to everyone, as do universities. These faiths ARE demonstrating obedience to God's will in their practitioners actions.
What makes our faith better is simply that it is the only faith which allows for "personal" relationships with the One True God. It is the only monotheistic faith which gives person/persons/personality/hypostasis to the One True God and it is revealed that it is only by personal relation with the One True God that one can ultimately succeed spiritually.

I do love having a personal relationship with God! Unfortunately, I was dragged to at least 5 different churches as a child and was a pretty confused child and adult. I'm grateful for all the experiences, but talk about mixed messages!

i've shared this story of mine many times...i was born hindu,in a traditional hindu fam..but my other side is Catholics!i lived as hindu till 2003 on self intention got baptist as Catholic❤🔥...but yet,around 2007 returned to hinduism....till 2015,regretted coz felt empty,exactly like how the Bible says(lifeless idols or even if it was,it could be manifested by unknown beings)...became free-thinker/atheist for awhile...then adopted buddism...2yrs on,n felt drained n miserable...seeked hindu medium for assistance....felt again-EMPTY...n one fine day prior to Lent 2024,i reached to my Catholic Church!the immense sense of Grace n peace i felt is THE most unforgettable recovery/deliverance i am grateful till now...The HOLY SPIRIT,JESUS CHRIST has always been with me all these while,while i neglected n went astray!now i see the other religions totally as bogus,with experience!many who refuse or fear to become associated with Christianity r merely under the influence of demons/devil!they don realize it n need deliverance!

You went full circle there, but welcome home! Your story reminds me of my neighbor's experience. He converted to many different Christian sects many times, and as a result came to compare their teachings and doctrines, then came to the realization that the one true Church established by Christ himself is indeed the Roman Catholic Church. The most striking differentiation for him was how difficult to live the Catholic faith compared to the other denominations, apparently it is the most difficult.

Scott Hahn believed Catholics didn't use their bibles. His conversion came when he attended Mass and realized the entire Mass is the Bible. 2 years of Mass covers the entire Bible.

I have the same opinion 35:55. I leave a question to the Protestants, why do you have portraits of your deceased family members on the walls? The same reason I have a statue of Our Lady at home and Saint Michael the archangel. So i can remember them and ask them to pray for me and my family

I think most people have no idea of the power of Jesus and how close He is to us. He's right next to us. The peace of Heaven is our home and can be had right here on Earth. People think of God our Eternal Father through Jesus Christ and Jesus is so far away but Jesus is right in your head if you just let Him do. It's like, basically, Jesus is you IF you let Him. No negative and nitpicking unloving thoughts are from us. They're from the devil. God is Love, we are Love. Let Jesus do IN your life.

There is a church in the London Ontario diocese that was closed. The parishioners wanted to save the church, but the diocese said no. They wanted to buy it. Diocese said no. They wanted to buy the religious artifacts. Diocese said no. 20 years later the church has broken glass windows, deteriorated so much, and the Diocese is selling it to a developer after an inspector deemed it unsafe. A planned destruction of the church by the diocese itself.

I heard a priest talk about how seminaries no longer teach anything about spiritual things, especially demonic influence. They turn out business managers. Our Catholic faith is true but the hierarchy are not necessarily Holy as they should be, sadly.

I have understood that our Christian faith, has so much to offer.. the Eucharist to being one of the biggest. Reconciliation is amazing.. then what we add as our relationship with only grows deeper.there’s so much one the the word and singing and being righteous.. our mother who indeed plays a huge part in the relationship.. to brings us closer to her son.. spending time with him in pray is a part of my relationship with him .. I don’t explain myself anymore.. I’m to busy loving Christ and praying especially this day.. I pray for all Christian’s no matter what they are… but I stopped assuring them that I’m ok please believe me he loves me and I love him. And I ways remember the next last thing, ( one more commandment to love one another..and we will be under attack. As I remember when I fell in love with my lord, I noticed my attacks came and have never stopped. So I just I braced my cross harder. Because that’s when my grace is amplified. I’ve learned anything that is true and good will be attacked.. but the church will stand.. all have fallen short of the grace to say the least. But it will stand.. the ones who have to say in spirit and in the true church is us . And pray for mother church.. and at that time I pray for all churches and Christian’s.. in love. ❤️🕊

I'm a member of an Orthodox Church. To make it short, whether it's Catholic or Orthodox, we don't worship images.
EX: When we love someone, we often have their photo to keep them in memeory. Simple like that. We don't worship but kiss and venerate them.

Schools too! The saddest thing is that we’ve sold out to the for profits organizations our schools and hospitals. Our universities are diluted, our parochial schools folding up. So sad.

It's my understanding that in other cultures they had an "opening of the mouth ceremony" in which the god would embody the statue and would be adored as a god until it was replaced with a new statue. Statues were literally worshipped as gods in other faiths. That is what God was prohibiting.

I have actually had family members (my husband’s family) actually spit in my eye, ostracize, me, squeeze me till I had a hard time breathing, push me all because I actually believed in God and wasn’t just pretending and I never actually said anything bad or conformational to them I just stated my beliefs online in a non confrontational way and they really didn’t like it. I had a couple of my husband’s aunts come up to me and say they are sorry but their kids just don’t believe in God and that they are praying for them to come to God 💔🙏🏼✝️ so sad and the division of children of the light and children of the dark is real no doubt about it. Had some similar things happen with my cousins on my side also so heartbreaking 💔🙏🏼🙏🏼 praying for them all to come to God 🕊️🙏🏼🙏🏼

Idk. Sometimes, I wonder why God created all of these different beliefs. As a nurse, I've cared for patients from different backgrounds. I've learned a lot and like everything, there's good and bad ppl in every religion. I believe Christianity is the truth, and I wouldn't consider changing, but ppl who are from other religions feel the same about their beliefs. I've always tried to understand and respect their faiths and not be judgmental.
God didn't create different beliefs, demons inspired all other religions.

I love the exorcist programs and the interviews with the exorcists. Listen I have been Catholic my entire life and listening to them explain the nature of God. I’ve either forgotten my understanding of him or maybe never learned it, but these experiences they speak of have taught me tremendously. Don’t stop them.

Teaching tools, reminders, & examples of virtue. If someone can have pictures of their family in albums & framed on walls, why can’t Catholics have pictures of their families, ie Jesus, Mary, & saints on display too? We like reminders & examples to follow.

Generally, I have to agree with you that Catholic charities do not discriminate regarding the religous beliefs of those to whom they minister. In particular mother Teresa of Calculta, who ministered to the
margenalised poor despite if they were hindu, muslem or athiests.
I was raised Roman Catholic and later converted to the Greek Orthodox
church. However, when looking at the atrocities of the Magdaline orphanigies in Ireland (I am of Irish heritage), I am appalled at their
unchristian practices. My point is that whatever gospel that you adhere
to we are all guiĺty of falling short of the glory Cross of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In the last days we all will be subject to His judgement!🙏🤲🙏

I’m a Christian myself but I will say this. During a time of deep contemplation on if Christianity was the true way, I considered religions such as Buddhism and Hindu that say everything is a part of God, the Universe is God essentially.
While it’s still just Satan’s old lie that we can be God, if we were apart of everything, loving your neighbor would be as simple as loving yourself.

As someone who has worked in charity, there are Buddhist and Hindu soup kitchens. Maybe it’s more of a west coast thing, but there are many, and they don’t discriminate.
They ABSOLUTELY discriminate.
@@newtexan1 there were almost no Buddhists or Hindus in the shelter I worked for, and yet a Buddhist group as well as 2 Hindu groups provided dinner at least once a week.
Yes , I was dubious of father Martin’s assertion….certainly in much of North America discrimination is hard to get away with…
, in Elite Universities all across America Jews are told they are occupiers and murderers and are shouted at. There is definitely discrimination from the far left and if your opinion doesn't line up with there agenda you better watch out

Here's something interesting. There's a TV channel in Bosnia called Hayat TV. They have a weekly show when they find and help the really needy. Always for the Muslims. Once they helped a Serb lady, but just because she kept writing letter after letter. So they said, we will grant you your wish, so stop with the letters. The host was really annoyed. Another time they helped a poor guy , a Serb, who is paraplegic, but only after a Muslim girl, a friend of his interceded. This was typical of the Merhamets during the war, whereas Catholic parishes were known for not turning down anyone at all. Nobody had to show 🆔 or anything like that

Some accusations are ridiculous. Bowing is a sign of respect. Kneeling is a sign of humility. And as Fr. Carlos Martins also stated, the word "pray" also means ask. So "praying" to any saints actually means asking for their intercession or assistance. It's a request. So much lost in translation and misunderstanding. In my limited understanding. God bless!

Obviously if a person truly believes the precepts of a religion, they must believe also that it is the best and truest belief there is.
This is so true! I have seen Christians time and time again stand up for the broken, defend the defenseless and be a voice for those who cannot stand up for themselves. They help people regardless whether believe in Christ or not. They do so out of love and to follow the instruction of Christ. But it seems Muslims only care about you only if you are Muslim. I never see Muslims speak out publicly against the persecution of Christians in Islamic countries. I dare say if Palestine was a majority Christian country, you will never see any Muslim speak up for them. They only care about their own people.

The scenario is weird. What two religions are more alien to each other than Muslims and Hindus? There could be no "ours". And Muslims are absolutely clear that theirs is the final and only true religion. I can't see these two banding together to ask this passive aggressive question.
