i ordered dear Fr. Don Calloway book and did the 30day consecration to St. Joseph. i was on the last day and it was to be a special special day! a day of celebration - So..... i felt i needed to just wait for that special day so i waited till it was Sunday mass to have a beautiful consecration to St. Joseph. Well.....i didnt know it but oil of St. Joseph was a special gift that sunday for all the parishoners thru St. Andrew of Montreal and of course his love for St. Joseph. Next thing i knew i was in tears my consecration day to St. Joseph........Blessed by our Bishop! the oil of St. Joseph. Wow! He loves each and everyone of us. I am so thankful to dear St. Joseph what a special role to be the foster father of Our Lord Jesus. God Bless you all.

I needed this!! I recently started to have a devotion to St. Joseph... And he is the father I never had!! I'm only human,... And I needed to be reminded of the love our LORD's father provides💛💛
I had a beautiful thought the other day after speaking to my parish priest about flowers (I was asked to do the altar of repose and all the flowers for Easter so was speaking about my ideas for the flowers for Ascension and Pentecost to make sure he was happy with what I wanted to do). I asked him if he would be ok with me doing flowers around Our Lady’s statue all of May and do a flower crown for May crowning and then link in the Altar flowers to flowers associated with Our Lady after Pentecost. Then in June I will do flowers around the parishes Sacred Heart statue of Christ and link in the Sacred Heart to the Altar flowers for June. Initially I felt sad I couldn’t do the same for St. Joseph during March next year except on his feast day but I then realised in Scripture St. Joseph is quiet and in the background completely but always pointing to Christ - it made me realise that the Holy Spirit had a lot to do with guiding the church on dedicating the month of March to St. Joseph even though depending on the year all or most of March falls into lent meaning no flowers. It realise symbolises St. Joseph’s character and role - to me anyway
In my state ! March is went the flowers are on bloom ! Fruit are forming ! Birds are nesting ! Quiet time begins the flora , fruits and wildlife season ! St Joseph!

So your praying to St Joseph as if he could answer any of your prayers is just like praying to an idol. Joseph can not hear you , can not respond to you , and has no power to do anything for you . God does and will do. There is no reason to ignore God and ask a formerly alive saint to do what only God can do.

There is only one God , the Holy Trinity and all praise , worships, prayers and glory are to the Lord , My God alone , always and forever ever. I believe in the God alone . I recently did the consecration to Saint Joseph and have asked him to guide and protect me as he did with the Lord Jesus when the Lord was still under his care. After consecration, I noticed a surge of quiet peace and strength and I know that it is because Jesus heard me and sent his foster dad to me to take care of me. Thank you Lord Jesus. Thank you Saint Joseph. Mama Mary, pray for me and all of my loved ones both those still with me on this side of life and those who have moved on to the afterlife. Glory to God in the highest.
I came into the Church on Easter Sunday this year and chose St. Joseph as my Conformation Saint. As even before convertion I always admired St. Joseph. My sponsor wasn't able to be there for the service and when I got to the front for the oil, I could feel St. Joseph behind me with his hand on my shoulder. He stood in for my sponsor! New to me, the logical observation that in scripture those who found Joseph and Mary not worthy of note as Jesus’ family, had less esteem for Jesus, is pretty profound. As well, Joseph’s lack of spoken words in scripture makes perfect sense: as Jesus’ earthly guardian he acts as father of the Word of God. Jesus himself is the Word. Thank you for sharing this. As little as I know about Saint Joseph, I feel closest to him of the saints. I didn't choose his name when I was confirmed. Like Peter didn't feel worth to be crucified upright like Jesus was, I didn't feel worthy to carry Joseph's name. He is my idol of a man, a real man. I chose Peter's name because I was a lot more like Peter than Joseph. I needed a lot more work on myself before I fell in line like Peter did, but while Joseph seemed more gentle, Peter seemed more brash and I'm a lot more brash then gentle (even when defending the faith against Anti-Catholics). But...Joseph is my goal as a father and as a man.
This was a wonderful talk on St Joseph so insightful. I never thought about the meaning of that passage in Luke or the Old testament Joseph connections. I have a relic of his my mom gave me before she passed away. St Joseph is my special patron and protector. He is also a St of miracles.
This is a lovely and informative talk about Saint Joseph the Foster father of the Word Incarnate. I personally believe that Saint Joseph was bodily received into Heaven. He is the greatest of the men's saints. Saint Joseph hasn't had nor receives his true recognition in the Catholic Church.

Awesome talk! But I don't think Saint Joseph wanted to leave Our Lady simply because he knew he was not the father. It was because he knew Our Lady was part of a mistery from God, to which he was not invited. Remember, when Our Lady visited Saint Elisabeth, she was greeted with "how does this happen to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me?". It's just natural to assume that Saint Joseph accompanied Our Lady in the course of the travel, as it was distant and dangerous for her to be alone. Therefore, he knew she was the Lord's mother.

Beautiful Saint Joseph has done so many wonderful amazing things for me. You should speak to Him and let Him know how much you love Him.
I recently did the consecration to Saint Joseph and have asked him to guide and protect me as he did with the Lord Jesus when the Lord was still under his care.
After consecration, I noticed a surge of quiet peace and strength and I know that it is because Jesus heard me and sent his foster dad to me to take care of me.
Thank you Lord Jesus. Thank you Saint Joseph. Mama Mary, pray for me and all of my loved ones both those still with me on this side of life and those who have moved on to the afterlife.

I came into the Church on Easter Sunday this year and chose St. Joseph as my Conformation Saint. As even before convertion I always admired St. Joseph. My sponsor wasn't able to be there for the service and when I got to the front for the oil, I could feel St. Joseph behind me with his hand on my shoulder. He stood in for my sponsor! Thank you, Jesus, for St. Joseph!

Really love and appreciate the insights here. New to me, the logical observation that in scripture those who found Joseph and Mary not worthy of note as Jesus’ family, had less esteem for Jesus, is pretty profound. As well, Joseph’s lack of spoken words in scripture makes perfect sense: as Jesus’ earthly guardian he acts as father of the Word of God. Jesus himself is the Word. Thank you for sharing this. Awesome! The Resurrection of the dead should happen at the end of time. But when Jesus resurrected, tombs were opened meaning bodies reunited with their souls. I hope I got that right.

As little as I know about Saint Joseph, I feel closest to him of the saints. I didn't choose his name when I was confirmed. Like Peter didn't feel worth to be crucified upright like Jesus was, I didn't feel worthy to carry Joseph's name. He is my idol of a man, a real man. I chose Peter's name because I was a lot more like Peter than Joseph. I needed a lot more work on myself before I fell in line like Peter did, but while Joseph seemed more gentle, Peter seemed more brash and I'm a lot more brash then gentle (even when defending the faith against Anti-Catholics). But...Joseph is my goal as a father and as a man.

This was a wonderful talk on St Joseph so insightful. I never thought about the meaning of that passage in Luke or the Old testament Joseph connections. I have a relic of his my mom gave me before she passed away. St Joseph is my special patron and protector. He is also a St of miracles.
St. Joseph is the inner man and the Holly fathers of love and the way thru Mary Mother of Jesus Christ unite a family together with the house of God.
This is a lovely and informative talk about Saint Joseph the Foster father of the Word Incarnate. I personally believe that Saint Joseph was bodily received into Heaven. He is the greatest of the men's saints. Saint Joseph hasn't had nor receives his true recognition in the Catholic Church.

But I don't think Saint Joseph wanted to leave Our Lady simply because he knew he was not the father.
It was because he knew Our Lady was part of a mistery from God, to which he was not invited.
Remember, when Our Lady visited Saint Elisabeth, she was greeted with "how does this happen to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me?".
It's just natural to assume that Saint Joseph accompanied Our Lady in the course of the travel, as it was distant and dangerous for her to be alone.
Therefore, he knew she was the Lord's mother.
I do want St. Joseph and Mother Mary to endorse me to their Son, for I am a sinner. They strengthen our hope.
