Any idea on how to get it unlocked? It didn’t have a transponder key in it before so I didn’t get one this time either. This is maybe the third time on changing the ignition cylinder in this truck but it’s my first time doing it. Really aggravating
Why would i replace a key that works/turns my lock cylinder?!!!! How to remove cylinder if key does not work any more? PATS RFID still works on key but key is too worn to turn cylinder.
Typically, there is a locking pin inside the steering column. This pin is spring-loaded and, when activated, extends into a corresponding slot or notch on the steering column, preventing the steering wheel from rotating. Without the ignition lock cylinder in place to deactivate the locking pin, you’ve got to figure out another way to deactivate it so the steering wheel can move. What type of vehicle do you have?

The key was broke so basically I don’t have one. I had to drill the old one out now the problem is the steering wheel lock.
