    This is one of the best upfront & close reviews of the Get Lean & Get Strong CrossRope sets. Yes they're expensive but worth the long term investment. Btw, the kid in the background needs some jump rope coaching. Thanks coach

    The new 2020 handles have a lifelong warranty and spin extremely well. I love this jumprope system.

      As part of your fitness program, how often do you jump rope and for how long?

    • @AhmedShraim
      @AhmedShraim  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@easyeagle3730 I make my clients jump rope three times a week between 7 and 15 minutes each time depending on training goals.

    Great review. I ended up getting the lean set, and the heavy limited edition. It comes with a 3/4 lbs, a 1 1/2 lbs, and the "get paid," 3 lbs rope. Totally worth it. Cheers!

    Great review! I got a basic rope of amazon a couple weeks ago and really love it. I'd love to get a better workout though and might splurge on the crossropes! I like the idea of having weighted ropes as opposed to the thin and flimsy ones.

    Awesome channel - saw the ropes videos and it was instant subscribe
    Oldschoolers here used to have and praise (a lot) leather ropes - they're type of heavier ropes with wooden handles - make jumping a lot more physical, but also when (lol - not "if") you hit yourself with the leather - hurtful - have you tried those?
    Be safe and well!

    • @AhmedShraim

      Welcome old school. I started my boxing career with leather ropes. I still have a few of those at the gym and some fighters prefer them to my surprise.

    I bought the Get Strong set. Yes, the quality is very good but I do find them overpriced. You can get cheaper ropes for similar workout but their heavy ropes are proprietary.

    Good review. For a beginner, what do you suggest to start out with? 1/4lb or 1/2lb? Or is it just a up to personal preference? Like your comment of the handles.

    • @AhmedShraim
      @AhmedShraim  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would go with the 1/4 lb first until you develop your skills and condition and then go heavier. Perhaps up it to the one pound and skill the 1/2 pound.

      Personally I would go heavier when you're learning, at least 1/2 lb, as it's easier to feel where the rope is in the rotation and time the jump accordingly.

    Nice review.
    Pity the product is such a complete rip off. $50 for 3 metres of plastic rope and some plastic handles - pfff.
    I appreciate a quality product, but don't appreciate when companies just want to completely rip you off.
    Got my $2 PVC rope that works well and I don't have to fret about using it wherever.
    Have tried a few different types of jump ropes (ranging between $2 and $20). Thin metal, thick metal, PVC, nylon cord, leather cord etc.
    Metal wire ones are decent, but unless you are only going to use them in a gym on a wooden or rubberised floor then they will only get ruined after some time when used outdoors. Thin metal wire ones are super light and fast. The thicker wire ones are slower and heavier, but do have a nice weight to them.
    But the $2 nylon is kinda the best, especially as it is so light and compact to carry and you don't have to worry about losing it or damaging it as it is so cheap to replace.
    cheers!
    JB

      That's why you need to have a portable work out mat to jump rope on so those pricey ropes will last a lot longer !!!

      Have you tried the Crossrope? I had the exact same thoughts, but as i tried them, i got hooked. It‘s a completely different feeling and workout, those ropes provide a far better full body type of workout since you have to incorporate your arms, shoulders, core and back in a totally different way. I can only suggest you try these ropes, it‘s 100% worth the money!

I also want to get the 3,4, and 5 lb. ropes as well when they get them back in to complete the collection !!!
