    Just visited there for the first time last Friday! (and Covington’s) 😀 I picked up Rattlesnake Master, a couple of cupheas, a couple of verbena bonariensis, and a Henry Doulberg salvia. If you are in the Dallas area, this is a must visit. Knowledgeable workers that are friendly!

    Good morning. I just love plant shopping with you. One you are so funny with all your comments. Made my day. Two you do what I do and that is look to see what there is and then pick up what it is that you are looking for. When I shop like that I usually stay within my budget. I also start to plan what I would like to do the next season. Anyways looking forward to seeing the containers and just what your gardens are up to. Have a wonderful day.

    I bought some vincas that look similar to those Flamenco Red at Green Acres in Melissa. They don’t have the light color on the outside and have mostly the deep purple/burgundy petals. They didn’t have any tag with the variety. I love vincas as they do great for me and sometimes they come back.

    I've had trouble with agastache also, however, last year I planted PW Queen Nectarine and it came back. It's planted in about 4 hours of morning sun and then gets hit with a little more afternoon sun later in the day. Again I'm in Maryland, so not near as hot as you. And there is only one place in my yard that gets 6 hours of sun, and that's where I grow my branching sunflowers. Good news, bad news about living on and around wooded lots!

    I have two starry starry night and two proven winner’s variety, Ian say the starry night have a more splayed out growth habit, the proven winner haas a tightly cleaner growth habit and it repeats blooming sooner.

    Fun garden center trip!
    Maybe slugs or pill bugs munching on your vinca? I've not experienced that one with my vincas however, you might get an organic product called Sluggo Plus. It takes care of those villains. There's a sister product just called Sluggo but it does not wipe out pill bugs only slugs. So be sure you'd get the Sluggo Plus if you decide going that route.
    I seem to have a big problem on my salvia leaves looking mottled. I'm thinking possibly white fly? Anyone experience this on salvia leaves? I don't see any webbing so don't think spuder mites.

    • @shesamadgardener
      @shesamadgardener  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Might be spider mites on your salvia … that’s very common in my area.

    I will never plant mist flower again because I didn’t know it spreads by rhizome under the soil surface. It was completely invasive! It grew through the root systems of surrounding plants making it impossible to pull up completely. It reminds me of bermuda grass in the way it roots and spreads. It is a broad leaf plant but I would warn others about getting it growing in your garden!

    • @mkitchens8163
      @mkitchens8163 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a beast! Spreads by rhizome and seed (which is how it made it into my garden, because I never planted it). I'm about to dig that whole area out and hopefully will rid myself of it.

    • @shesamadgardener
      @shesamadgardener  3 หลายเดือนก่อน
