- Hi guys! You asked for it... Let's see what's going on with the 1947 Chrysler that we started playing with last week!... This rime we'll be dismantling the fron of the engine to get at the timing chain, and discover more chaos... We are also working on our Buick "Nailhead" V8s this week, and Myles wins the WOT Olympics, with his air cleaner project! Myles and Ash join Tom and I for some fun, and the Renault gets her final touches before the test drive!

So many memories over the past 14 years. This is my #1 channel and the only one that I donate to. I am so sorry about the farm. I hope that somehow, someday that Laura and Cohen can turn this into a positive for them. Good, hardworking people don’t deserve to be railroaded like they were.

Sadly it seems no matter where you are on this deteriorating globe of ours, there's government entities hell bent on exercising their arrogant muscles and violating private property rights, private ownership, family heritage and a family's legacy. Sad times for all of us. And it seems also that those of us in our respective countries who value family heritage and history and doing what is right have found ourselves in a minority as shocking as that is. So grateful for you Scott and all of your agents and patrons who bring you to us still giving us a biweekly dose of sanity, levity and nostalgia for as long as that can last. I'm sure we're all anxious to see the old Chrysler belch fire, smoke and noise and eventually move under her own power. Add to that the Nail Head returning to her glory too. Always many things to look forward to each week especially since we're finally edging painfully slowly into a bonified Spring and windows down driving. Remember the 37 chevrolet had a bad cylinder and you started to epoxy it before having it bored. The 47 Chrysler is the perfect candidate! I always wanted to know if it would have worked. As far as this channel, it's beats anything that cable or network TV has to offer!

The Renault is looking great. It's cool to see such an obscure car get brought back to life. I can't wait to see what the wheels look like on it. Congrats to Myles on a great looking air cleaner. I was hoping for dual snorkels. Both Nailheads will be really cool. It would be really cool to see that "58 Plymouth in the background driving around too some day. I bet it's pretty cool having Tom for a neighbor, to come over and hang out.
Always great to see Tom, he knows how to be helpful with his life stories. Myles did a fine job on the air cleaner, and what can one say about Dean he starts out fresh and finishes hard.

I have been subscribed since the beginning of your channel. Broken top rings are often caused by preignition.... top broken rings hog out the ring groove, breaking chunks out of the piston, just like the Chrysler's number 1. It will run fine with broken top rings. That dual snorkel air cleaner is awesome! Again, very much enjoyed your video.

Hard to believe that it's been 14 years of my watching CWM! Just goes to prove that I don't know where the last 20 years have gone. Nice work on the lights. My GTA had Marchal driving lights too. Good work by Myles, but he might want to rethink the size of the filter element as a smaller one can restrict airflow. Congrats on the past and wishing you many more years of sharing the fun.

The nested pulley idea was pretty smart on the part of the mfg. I still can’t get over how extreme the “snout” on that engine is with the crazy fan spacer. You would think getting it all balanced would be fiddly.

I was amazed to see how much effort Myles can sped on a cool airfilter. One of my Pontiacs had a huge thing that was modified and had a hand hammered bottom. My car has also an Edelbrock carb.The problem was it was not easy sourcing the right filter.
I think I was subscribed for at least 12 years to your channel. I remeber the classical music that some people hated. I will look for some very old videos I hardly remember.

I have loved the show no matter what ever since the 60 Fury was rescued. Restoring the old Buick engine is wonderful, it would be interesting to see how long a rebuilt one would last with modern oil. I’d like to see a Cold War Motors road trip vacation caravan episode. I have never met a girl who loved me enough to comprehend my car and motorcycle sickness let alone film it. Hahahaha! Also Scott agree Firebird or Trans Am cars bird Decal hardest to I will say 100 % agree 👍 yes and I done one too ! Second is split 2 front windshields windows are hard plus trim set up on and third one vinyl fix up or convertible tops with glass back windows!

I love this channel. It's the highlight of my Saturday evening. Saturday ritual. A good meal,cold beverage and Cold War Motors. I'm doing a lot of the same things just on a smaller scale on my small compound. 48 Chevy 1 ton. 96 F150, a few David Bradley tractors, Maytag engines and a couple hundred other vintage small engines.
Great job on the 364. Color looks spot on. And the job Myles did on the dual snorkel air cleaner was just fantastic. Can't think of a better way to spend a couple of days. Not sure what engine Myles is running on his Newport, but boy do those pipes sound sweet!

Marechal made all sorts of electrical equipment which were OEM for various French cars. You can find them all over 1970s Citroëns, for example. Other suppliers include Paris-Rhône, Seima, and Ducellier.

Congratulations on 14 years! I think I've been around for 12 of them. I'm sincerely hoping the parts that I sent are 100% functional. I didn't have time to check them. I know it was a S-load and I've forgotten all of the contents. As you know I basically stole them for the price I paid. I'm very happy to see them put to use. Hopefully you have shared some of the wealth. It's too bad that gentrification is happening. I hope Colin and Laura soak the City for the expropriation and find some other suitable acreage for a reasonable price. If the bore is basically OK a 2nd hand piston will work fine.
I have repaired so many old shitters during the 60s here in New Zealand where the owners had no dough. It was standard practice and the car would go on for a few more years in daily use. I love watching you dive into these old girls with a heart pumping to save these old sweethearts. You have my admiration big time.
