The way to get through that wall stage in the NES version is by punching the wall to the right, which allows you to move to the next room. The 4 icons on the bottom right corner basically tell you what you’re supposed to do, and in that part Robocop’s heat vision icon starts to blink, which is the signal to punch for a hidden path or item. In the city hall scene from the movie Robocop kinda does the same thing.
Also, he stops using the gun in the city hall because it's an OCP-owned building and Robocop is not allowed to shoot/arrest OCP members (the hidden directive)
So Robocop arcade would be #1 for me, but the gameboy version is also pretty good. But I actually own a Robocop Arcade cabinet so I might be biased, but I loved it as a kid and I still love it to this day.
I've always had the opinion that there are indeed NO bad Robocop games, but if I had to choose a favorite, the original arcade version is easily the definitive choice. I'll celebrate your Top5 any 'ol day! 👍
This list is missing the free PC fan remake of the CPC version, NES Robocop Texas Edition, and Amiga Robocop 3...plus Mortal Kombat 11. Also, the Genesis Robocop vs. Terminator game was ported to Sega's 8-bit hardware, and it looks great. But overall, it's a Robocop list from someone who loves the franchise enough to suffer through Robocop 3 on SNES, and still find the positives. I've got to respect that, and the quality of the video itself. (Plus, you knew about the second arcade game. Kudos.)
I clocked Robocop arcade with 1 credit back in days as a 12 year old kid. The secret is know your enemies placement and use the punch whenever you can and save the powerful weapons for the bosses. You can defeat the junkyard boss with 2 shots of the plasma rifle. Played it recently at my local 4 quarters bar after 34 years I got to level 4 with 1 credit. What a classic game!!
I remember having Robocop II for my Game Boy. Once you hit the second puzzle stage, it got HARD because if you failed, the next level was super hard. With no way to save the game, the game itself was hard and I never even got to beat it.
10:25 on the amiga version which is very similar to this arcade version you actually have a final mini round where you have to kill the bossman who is holding the guy hostage and when you do he does indeed fall out the window, epic.
I think the original was on the 8bit computers in the UK (Speccy / Amstrad / C64) and all other, even the arcade are ports of that, I seem to remember Ocean got the movie licence, and then licenced that to DE for the arcades, I could be remembering wrong though, you'd have to check with someone who knows, like Guru Larry.
For me the original robocop arcade game is just amazing. graphics and sound just drew u into it. Yes it was a money muncher with high differculty but most arcade games where like that Still play regularly today on mame
wow i honestly didn’t know there were this many retro Robocop games i remember the OG Robocop for NES, I loved Robocop 3 for SNES (it was ridiculously hard) I never ever came across Robocop Arcade (Which is crazy went to a lot of arcades growing up but, never seen that Cabinet 😢😢😢 looks awesome though 👍👍
BEST FAVORITE ROBOCOP VIDEO GAMES Robocop Arcade 100% love best Arcade game no lie Robocop 2 Arcade Robocop Nes Robocop vs Terminator Sega Genesis Robocop rogue city PS5 & XSX
I knew of Robocop 3 on the SNES but I had absolutely no idea it was on the Megadrive to. I don't think we got that over here in England? But I could be wrong about that.
My Top 5: 5. RoboCop 2 (Arcade) - Best Game based on RoboCop 2. 4. RoboCop versus The Terminator (SNES) - Better music than the Genesis, cool exclusive first-person “Mode 7” levels. 3. RoboCop (Game Boy) - Amazing music, very accurate to film and arcade version. 2. RoboCop (Arcade) - The best retro RoboCop game period. Desperately needs a rerelease/port to modern platforms (digital or physical) or mini arcade/Arcade1Up. 1. RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5) - Best RoboCop experience outside of the films. Sequel to RoboCop 2, takes place before RoboCop 3 (and sort of erases RoboCop 3 from timeline). It’s a love letter to die-hard fans. It’s more than just blasting fools. The Worst: 5. RoboCop (NES) - Not a port of the arcade game. Terrible music (a single song), RoboCop himself looks weird, terrible combat (and mostly melee-based). Not much recognizable from the film. 4. RoboCop (Xbox) - Holy god, it has the worst 3D graphics, voice acting and controls. Bugs everywhere. 3. RoboCop 2 (NES) - It seems like a random and terrible platformer that just has RoboCop slapped on the title screen. Looks and feels like it has 0.03% of the spirit of RoboCop. Terrible controls and extremely difficult. 2. RoboCop 3 (SNES) - Ugly, clunky, difficult, ear-piercing sound and only 4 levels long. Too short, too hard and ugly like a rusty fire hydrant. 1. RoboCop (Commodore 64) - Ugly, difficult, clunky and literally impossible to beat since the developers blocked access to the final level because they didn’t finish as they gave up on fixing a catastrophic glitch. The whole game’s release is a crooked scam.
i"m suprise nitendo allowed the punching and shooting of dogs...i love that its coo"l.....*then he just realized the f**cked up thing he said... "I don't think its cool"... me : noo no no too late...we already knw who u are...u are one of us..one of us one of us one of us
I would chose Robocop vs Terminator on the Sega genesis for the best game. Fast, gory, hard. In the other games is Robocop so called fat, and slow. I hope the new game from nacon will be good!
Robocop vs terminator on the genesis is much overrated. Yes graphics and this dark horse look is gritty but then there is not much of a game below that. The stages are all horribly designed. Just every single stage. Plus what breaks the game for me, that they did not include a grace period after you got hitted/hurt. Its a typical non-japanese game. Yes its the dave perry code from aladdin. But it wont help. I find all games made on the perry code are unplayable. If u hold jump it keeps jumping in all dave perry genesis coding. Its a weak coding. Like all turrican games suffer from the non grace period after hurt. A typical flaw of not knowing the media per se. That makes it very boring because of that. The game bores me after 5 minutes. I always try love it because it look so dark. But it wont hold up gameplay wise. A really weak typical western game. The blood n guts cant help. The game is just overrated and its bad game design. Besides that robocop 3 on the amiga should have been in this list
Robocop vs terminator on the genesis was a seminal moment in my childhood. Good video man I'm glad I found your channel.
Was a jaw dropping moment when I discovered it too!

It's definitely the most fun of the games (to me anyway!)
Amiga’s Robocop 3 had some great atmosphere and neat 3D driving & walking levels.
On NES robocop you have to destroy the spiky wall then attack the wall to the right and it breaks it looks like scenery but it isn't!
Hopefully they release a robocop collection on PlayStation Xbox and switch
They made a new robocop game it's coming out in June can't wait to play it when I get my PS5
Don't forget Robocop 3 for MS-DOS that game was amazing
Amiga and ST too. Some of the best 3d on 16-bit without an add-on chip.
I've always had the opinion that there are indeed NO bad Robocop games, but if I had to choose a favorite, the original arcade version is easily the definitive choice. I'll celebrate your Top5 any 'ol day! 👍
They all are fairly decent, some better than others! Nothing truly BAD!
Oh, yes there is. RoboCop 3 for SNES and RoboCop for Xbox (Original). Absolutely horrible.
There are quite a few bad RoboCop games.
Most of the PC games, the NES sequels, the Xbox game, the Gameboy game
This list is missing the free PC fan remake of the CPC version, NES Robocop Texas Edition, and Amiga Robocop 3...plus Mortal Kombat 11.

I didn't know Robocop 2 for arcade existed. I played it and it feels awesome. Thx m8.

I'm glad you picked the arcade game as your number 1. I still play that on a regular basis. The benefits of having MAME on all my devices.
It's just FUN!
Robocop 2 for NES is awesome
For years, I've been saying they should make a free world game like gta
Awesome review!
Nice review. I played the NES, the arcade game and the Terminator version. They were fun.
10:25 on the amiga version which is very similar to this arcade version you actually have a final mini round where you have to kill the bossman who is holding the guy hostage and when you do he does indeed fall out the window, epic.
That’s cool. Should have been in the arcade version!

@@TheRealKaiProton amiga is a commodore pc and i remember ocean in the credits, maybe that helps your investigation :)
@@GregsGameRoom Try our Robocop 2D trilogy for some throwing Jones out the window fun! 😂
Came here to make sure Arcade 1 was the best, I remember staring at it when I was 7 and had no money
Great list! I wish that the Robocop arcade games would get ported to the PS5, Xbox One, and Switch. I’d definitely buy both of them.
Maybe they’ll be hidden in the new game??
For me the original robocop arcade game is just amazing. graphics and sound just drew u into it. Yes it was a money muncher with high differculty but most arcade games where like that
Still play regularly today on mame
Agreed, I'll never understand why they couldn't replicate the original arcade version on any of the consoles (SNES and onward).
wow i honestly didn’t know there were this many retro Robocop games i remember the OG Robocop for NES, I loved Robocop 3 for SNES (it was ridiculously hard) I never ever came across Robocop Arcade (Which is crazy went to a lot of arcades growing up but, never seen that Cabinet 😢😢😢 looks awesome though 👍👍
2:50 - Oh come on, no love for the 8 bit Basil Poledouris robocop theme?
Arcade original is for sure the best. That’s why I have one in my game room :)
I'd buy that for a dollar! Great video! I was never any good at Robocop at the arcade.
Just takes a lot of quarters!

My #1 favorite is robocop 2 arcade hands down.and u right robocop 3 is hard the first stage is hard
So in the NES version… did you turn and punch the wall when those spikes came down the screen? I’m sure it’s already been stated.

2. RoboCop vs. Terminator (Genesis)
1. RoboCop (Arcade)
The arcade games are great on emulator with unlimited continues
I remember renting robocop on the NES thinking it was gonna be like the arcade but nope….it’s actually better on the gameboy
If I'm Robocop and a dog is gonna get me, its me or the dog brother.
To me your number 2 is my number 1.
i"m suprise nitendo allowed the punching and shooting of dogs...i love that its coo"l.....*then he just realized the f**cked up thing he said... "I don't think its cool"...

Tipper Gore would not be pleased!!
The absolute best Robocop game is "Robocop 3 NES", all other Robocop games - are sux
Robocop on game boy better than nes and genesis versions.
