i have this tent it is really a very very good tent for one adult with bag. first of all it is very affordable even if they went from 25 to 30 euros. then it could not be more resistant and it is not heavy. if you spend more, just blame yourself. i don't understand why people say it is a backup tent you can use this tent again and again and it is still working. no need to have anything else for one adult.
True and I agree with you 100%. Though if you going on a multiday trip then it can be quite cramped with all your gear inside. For me with clothes, video gear and food. Then I would consider it for maybe 1 or 2 nights. But for the price you really cannot go wrong.
I have one great tent. I used when I was in Wales couple of weeks ago. Easy simple nice tent. Only for one person if you put backpack etc in the tent. I got some condensation on the outer but nothing on the inner. So I just love it. Absolutely bargain. Nice review
Excellent review. I bought this tent a month ago in France, when the tent I brought with me broke. I was on a bicycle tour, and I found this tent at Decathlon, and it was exactly what I needed. For the price, it is an amazing tent. It kept me dry for 1 week, and I love the simplicity of it. Usually I have very lightweight tents, but this was just a temporary solution for me. So this tent was much heavier than what I am used to, and the packing size is also bigger than what you want if you are on a bicycle. I would love to see Decathlon make a lightweight version of this tent, then I would buy it immediately. When I came home from my bike trip, I gave away the tent to somebody, but I actually regret doing that. This is the best tent you can buy for € 30.--
I have the fresh & black version of this tent. I got the weight down from 3 kg to 2.6 kg with new aluminium tent poles and tent spikes from amazon (30$ for everything). It also packs down slightly smaller becauce of the new tent poles. I really like it.
Thank you for the video! I just bought this tent yesterday and I'm going to test it this weekend for 3 nights, there's going to be rain... I'm glad I watched your video before going, because of it I'm taking my best stakes!
@@rastko99 It was actually amazing! The first two days/nights it rained basically non stop... There was even thunderstorms! The first morning, I woke up with basically a swimming pool under the tent (outside), but the inside totally dried! I did move the tent to another spot where the ground was less watery, just in case. Overall it's an amazing tent for the price, I still need to test it in the son, to see how warm it gets. My other friends took a budget "national geographic" tent, I think it was like 23eurs, and they slept wet sadly.
It's alright, used it last year at download festival. However, it was absolutely boiling in the hot weather at the time. I couldn't stay in it and I couldn't stay out as either way I felt like I was burning. Can't comment on water proof as it didn't rain as far as I remember
i own one, was hoping for a rain test before i take it out for any real world use. also, i saw that it came with 2 elastic straps that ive apperently misplaced somewhere. ive only sort of mamaged to fit it back into its bag. but other than that, the only thing i find it might be missing is a loop for a peg on the back end. i don't see why this wouldn't be a frequent campers tent(considering my other tent by the same brand is flawlessly rainproof): it has the advantage of being quite small when folded and its easier to set up than the previous tents ive used due to the fact that it uses little hooks that attach to the poles instead of fabric loops or even a sleeve like some other designs. the 2 person rating is kinda bs but i wasn't gonna share it with other people anyways.
There is nothing wrong with it. It's a budget tent. For sure it's not the strongest in winds with fibreglass poles and probably not ideal if your going on an adventure up a mountain. It doesn't have a large vestibule for storing your belongings. But in a campsite then it should be fine. It's a great tent for those starting out that don't want to waste a small fortune on something they are not sure they're going to like or not
I was under the impression that Decathlon sold Chinese products, if that is the case then it's low price could be down to production costs and I intend no slur by that.
I like the build quality and price of quecha tents but I'm put off with the colours so I think I'll hold off until the make some variety of colours I'd personally like to see more eaethy tones!!!
The reason they are the colour they are is for environmental reasons. No dye is used in these tents. So yes whilst it would be nice to see a variety of colours. I doubt very much we will see that happen.
Two poles that cross over in the center on the inner part of the tent. Locating in to a pocket at each of the four corners of the inner section. A fly sheet that is over the top and tied to the poles underneath the fly sheet and all pegged or staked down. It's quite simple to do and shouldn't be a problem for anyone. New to camping or experienced campers alike.
I think i will buy it but is it possible to fully close it or that part below feet is always little open? If not some small animals like mouse or snake can enter
The bedroom area when zipped up is sealed so no animals should be able to get in there. However the limited porch or vestibule area at the front is not sealed, no. As its not a sewn in groundsheet. The outter fly and the inner are separate so yes wildlife could potentially get in under the door. Just like a lot of other tents on the market. I've used tents like this many, many times before and here in the UK we do have rodents and grass snakes. Never, not once have I had an issue with wildlife entering other than say a few moths or spiders. I would always advise to store any food in sealed bags. Be it zip lock bags and/or larger dry bags. That way scent isn't going to reach such wildlife as easy and therefore make your tent a target for them. You could also store that food in its zipped locked bags in the bedroom area. Again to deter any wildlife.
Very nice review. Can you please share how tall are You? It looks like this tent is just about for someone your height. I'm 190cm tall, and I doubt I could fit in... Those advertised 130x210cm looks a bit sketchy. Thanks!
That's a good question and Ive just had to measure my height to answer it. I am 177cm tall or 5ft 9" For me I have slept in this tent. I could just about feel the ends though that is with the sleeping bag over the top of my feet which will add a couple of more inches. Though now I tend to sleep on my side with my knees slightly raised which does help.
Thanks for sharing! My plan was to use Quechua Air Basic inflatable mattress inside this tent, which measures at 190x120cm, but now I highly doubt it could fit. @@ItsaCampingThing
@@MrCikamarko Sadly I'm working today. However I would look at the depth of the mattress. The reason being that the higher the deeper the mattress the less room you'll have to play with as the tent will tapper inwards the higher you go with your sleeping set up. I know that Decathlon do recommend a maximum mattresses size for this tent at the bottom of this tents description.
Yes I did. But in all honesty I don't see that making a major difference. The seams were in line with the poles anyway. The only time I've seen where this does make a difference is the Oex Phoxx 1 v2 tent
@@hurricanekid1000 The only information I have on waterproofing is from Decathlons website. My video was a first impressions and not a review. That will come after Ive used it a few times. But Decathlon say: Waterproofing (Schmerber): Flysheet > 2000 mm. Groundsheet > 2400 mm rating.
yeah prices will go up especially in the peak camping season. Thats why I try to add that prices are correct at the time of recording as this video will be watched years down the line when prices will inevitably go up.

It's very snug for two people. My partner and I both used it but it's just for sleeping in with very little room. Ideal for one person as you say.
Good tent for one person to sleep with luggage
i think the quechua 2 second tent vs the slumit gobi 3 vs slumit cub 2 would be a great 3 way fight vid
Nice idea but the Gobi 3 has quiet a dark exterior from what I've seen. Surely that would be like an oven inside on a really hot day?
