There is this amazing invention called a spade. We have gone through the wettest summer on record in over 120years in our country, plus a couple of cyclones to add to the mix. People have died. Fortunately we live up on the side of a hill but our track has been washed out at about 5 times. Definitely 4 wheel drive country. I feel for these guys. I’m constantly utilising my spade and digging out temporary drains to divert the water way from our house, so the water runs down and away from our house; as some days it looks like a houseboat. Down on the flat we have had at least 5 floods, l really feel for our neighbours The bill for reconstructing our driveway is horrendous. We have already repaired it after the first cyclone, and again approx 50m of track have been washed away since.
This is an old episode. I would love to know how these guys faired in the end. The access to their home was the worst thing about it to me. I hope they struggled through winters getting up to their house somehow.

This was in the late 90s goes to show how bad public health has gotten. when people from the 90s look better then people from 2023

Why don't they lay down some big rock/gravel on their track so they get some traction under their tires?
That should have been their first task.
