The biggest W on farming in HSR compared to genshin is the fact that you can farm WHATEVER and WHENEVER you want. There is no days required bs to farm specific stuff really help to focus on wanted characters rather than being stuck for days because the domain is closed because why not.

You need 8 characters for Forgotten Hall 11 and up so it doesn’t really matter that much. Lvling up relics in HSR is also a bigger deal than Genshin. Turn-based games have a lot of stat checks. You can’t dodge or i-frame dmg with bursts like in Genshin, so you will take dmg. It’s unavoidable. You’ll need enough stats to not getting one-shotted. So yeah, if you’re stuck just farm relics.
In the long run, it doesn't matter whichever you use the first time you claim immersifier. You can convert your tp into immersifier if you want anyway, just like condensed
Great guide! Pretty much what I’ve done, my 2 main investments are Gepard and Danheng since they’re my best for damage and survival. My other supports are Natasha and Tingyun cuz they’re so universal. They’ve gotten me to SU6 and FH9 so far
Just a tip: In my calculation, the max TP / resin you can use in a day is 240. It refills much faster at 6 mins so dont just use 180 in a day to maximize resource!
Spend your resin on non-RNG things in early game (cone, character, and trace levels, glove/hat upgrades). Spend resin on raw stats and then percentage stats, percentages work better with higher base numbers. Raw stats come from level and light cone. The glove and hat also give a sizable chunk but aren’t included in percentage calculation, only the raw stats from level and light cone I believe assuming it is the same as Genshin. Save the relics for last (exception to glove and hat which are not RNG), since they are RNG and are not guaranteed to give you a power boost, it could take you 1 week or 1 year to get the relics you need.
Trace Materials are such a brutal bottleneck for upgrading. You get so few per day compared to the amount you need per character. Feels like it takes a week of grinding just to do one character's Traces, so I haven't even been able to think of Relics yet
I recently hit TB 60, I plan to keep on working on my characters other than farming relics, because the distance between 60 and TB 70 is definitely big. I slapped some 4 star relics on most on my characters and they can still kill many enemies quickly. Saving up all of my fuel when I actually get on the relic grind.
It should be noted that leveling up some good blue gear (3 stars) or purple gear (4 stars) is very beneficial if first (main) bonus is +%HP or +%DMG... At 6 lvl gear you can reach whooping +17% or so bonus, this is just nuts and costs almost nothing. Blue gear can be risen to 9 lvl only, but it is still very strong, you won't be able to lvl up purple ones any higher, cus it requires way too much grind, so yeah, try choosing 2-3 chars you really like and gives them very strong blue set of gear if it gives +%Def, DMG, HP as first stat and HP, DMG, DEF as secondary. And later you can sacrifice this gear to more powerful gear without losing much EXP and get many levels fast, so this is a good idea overall. Right now i am at Traiblaze lvl 29 and Natasha has 1700 HP with good gear compared to my other chars with only 900-1200 HP without upgraded gear, so go figure.
I always clear every area everyday for free mats and stuff. Then either focus on Demand items for ascension or trace upgrades then just drop it all to Exp mats or Weap mats.
I was also very against on using the resin on farming relics before the 5star drops but I changed my mind. Its character n lightcone levels>relic>traces for me. This might be a dumb take but these are the things I realized: Its not worth farming the traces unless its for unlocking a new bonus ability, your world run clear depends on the path and the cards that you got, not because you leveled up your basic/skill/ult from level 3 to level 4. The dmg increase per level is so smol Another reason why I decided to choose relics is because of speed, I wanna get speed boots for my 3 characters so I can use 3 fleet of the ageless passive for more party dmg. I also dont like that the monster goes first before your tank/healer can use their heal, shield or taunt because they are turtles. Im actually thinking of just putting musketeer set on tank and healer because its hard to get spd 120 without it if the boots isnt 5star. Its sounds stupid but what is there to miss really? 10% outgoing heal and 1 skill pt at the start? the 10% outgoing heal isnt that big imo(I tested natasha with and without cornucopia and its still fine) and its also dead stat if you are overhealing(like using the skill to cleanse the guy that still have 90%+ hp remaining) the -1 skill pt feels bad but there are more positives For tank they have so much def% stat alrdy that losing the 15% def is whatever, and 20% of the max shield is also whatever? if the base shield is 500 you get 600? like okay I guess? Again Idk Im dumb and might be overestimating speed kek
for now you can easy clear all 6 worlds without farming relics, there a lot of 4* and resourses to lvl up them from chests, abyss and etc. Later you anyway need to lvl up your talants, but in same time you will need to farm 5* relics and good stats on them, so its gonna be hard first time when you get high lvl

I managed to get C6 Pela from pulling banner f2p. My pela does ~1000 damage now. Also helps that a lot of enemies have ice weakness. I pair her with asta bronya and another character i change but for now Seele. My seele isnt a broken one though. Seele still does a lot of damage though with action forwarding
My biggest mistake so far was exchanging all of my power into immersifiers assuming that I can use this "condenced resin" anywhere and then I got stuck and needed to farm talent materials and artifacts URGENTLY so I had to use most of my hard earned fragile resin thingies 😭

I need to critique that a lot of content creators for Star Rail add WAY too many parallels to Genshin when not all of us played that game. Like what's a Artifact Domain or how would I know what Resin is? In the video you mentioned Simulated Universe as a "Rogue-like", which is perfect! When you could have easily called it the "Elysian Realm", but you wouldnt know that comparison, because you dont play Honkai Impact. I do understand that this was a Genshin channel mainly, but would really appreciate if you would create these kinds of videos in a state of neutrality rather than requiring a Genshin playthrough to understand. Since type coverage is important for toughness breaking I am willing to raise Pela and perhaps Asta but I'm not sure. I somehow always get too many characters of the same type and I love all of them too xD

I recommend sweeping through the maps for exp and focusing on light cone materials. because EXP can be farmed by killing overworld mobs and all exp is x4 cause all characters get exp if they're not at max. This will save you some trailblaze power to use on trace materials instead. This will also get you credits and basic materials you can immediately synthesize when you ascend your character. If you want to farm even more after killing all the overworld mobs, Simulated World drops materials as well but im not sure about exp.
I'm Trailblaze level 30, my team is Fire Trailblazer, Natasha, Asta, Yanqing. All are level 46. Is there any reason not to bring them to level 50? Also, which Traces should I upgrade, and how high?
Push them to level 50, there's no reason to hold back on leveling the primary team you're using. For traces, go with Yanqing (your primary DPS right now) and Natasha/Fire Trailblazer (or both). How high depends on you, do you want to prioritize the primary traces (ultimate, skill, additional bonuses, etc. that are most useful) or do you want to max everything including the stat bonuses. Personally, I don't hold back on the characters that I believe will be useful for me in the long run (I max everything for Bronya). Don't be afraid to use materials and resources on units, but hold back on relics as they can be farmed much later.

Im having fun with aow4 and dont have time for this game really. So I think Ill just slack off and do dailies only every day for login bonus and daily. Than in a year or so if a top tier waifu appears on banner (god kiana? Adult luna kindred teri?) Ill pour my savings into that.
im actually prefarming the mats needed to ascend beyond 50 for both my team and my light cones.. instead of farming relics. my pela, seele and bronya trio can oneshot most trash content still so i dont feel the need to farm relics.
a tip that i also recommend is when you reach a level cap (such as 30), i stead of immediately going to the next equilibrium, make sure all of your used character are well leveled and invested while the enemies are still weak and easy to beat. As xlice said, i also recommend prefarming for the next character ascensions so that when you get there, you can ascend them immediately
If you're around AR35 I think that simulated world 6 relics would be a good use of resin. 1 drop of a sure 5-star relic with great effect is a good use of resin. Instead of farming traces, char level books (don't you have enough? I leveled 9 characters to 50 and I still have more than enough for 3 more), or light cone materials. My logic is, if you're going to pre-farm them for AR40, when you'll unlock the next tier of difficulty for the Calyxes and better drops of the higher tier materials, then you've just wasted your resin farming for all the lower tier materials instead of farming at AR40 when you'll have a much easier time farming those materials at Equilibrium 3 anyway. While when you're farming the 5-star planetary sets, you'll still use them until endgame if they have good subs because it's already a 5-star. Or even those just having the right base stat, would still be usable until early endgame. You can also salvage them later on.
@@Frag3r_T3 Simulated world is pretty easy if you just use the right blessings and the right path. IIRC, I managed to beat World 3 when the quest to do it appeared to me. I dunno, maybe you just need the right team setup.
have you not pulled on the beginner standard wish banner? it's quite easy to get all the 50 standard tickets just by doing story content and some other things too.
They made upgrading chacters so hard unlike genshin also we need features like no animations for ultimate when using auto battle or in general 2nd why no kokomi like in this game why healer cant heal out side battle

2 log ins per day, 5 minutes each to farm resources. That's all you do once you beat the story.

World 6 can be cleared relatively (pre TL 40) consistently by going for abundance. Just have to make sure to beat the heck out of bronya

How high depends on you, do you want to prioritize the primary traces (ultimate, skill, additional bonuses, etc. that are most useful) or do you want to max everything including the stat bonuses. Personally, I don't hold back on the characters that I believe will be useful for me in the long run (I max everything for Bronya). Don't be afraid to use materials and resources on units, but hold back on relics as they can be farmed much later.

im actually prefarming the mats needed to ascend beyond 50 for both my team and my light cones.. instead of farming relics. my pela, seele and bronya trio can oneshot most trash content still so i dont feel the need to farm relics.

a tip that i also recommend is when you reach a level cap (such as 30), i stead of immediately going to the next equilibrium, make sure all of your used character are well leveled and invested while the enemies are still weak and easy to beat. As xlice said, i also recommend prefarming for the next character ascensions so that when you get there, you can ascend them immediately

If you're around AR35 I think that simulated world 6 relics would be a good use of resin. 1 drop of a sure 5-star relic with great effect is a good use of resin. Instead of farming traces, char level books (don't you have enough? I leveled 9 characters to 50 and I still have more than enough for 3 more), or light cone materials.
My logic is, if you're going to pre-farm them for AR40, when you'll unlock the next tier of difficulty for the Calyxes and better drops of the higher tier materials, then you've just wasted your resin farming for all the lower tier materials instead of farming at AR40 when you'll have a much easier time farming those materials at Equilibrium 3 anyway. While when you're farming the 5-star planetary sets, you'll still use them until endgame if they have good subs because it's already a 5-star. Or even those just having the right base stat, would still be usable until early endgame. You can also salvage them later on.

@@Frag3r_T3 Simulated world is pretty easy if you just use the right blessings and the right path. IIRC, I managed to beat World 3 when the quest to do it appeared to me. I dunno, maybe you just need the right team setup.
