When solo van camping doesn't go to plan...

- I headed to Snowdonia (Eryri) national park for a solo camp in the our VW California campervan with my dog, Jack the labrador for a 2 night camping trip in the forest. One night in the van and one night in my new wild camp tent.
The good old British weather with an infestation of flies put a dampener on that and while the temptation to go home was strong, we decided to stick it out, light a fire, have a beer and make the most of it.
It's too easy to make a negative video/thumbnail to gain attention from a mildly affected trip but life is full of negativity so, sometimes you just have to make a positive situation out of a slightly challenging situation.
There may be elements of bushcraft bits in this video and that's because, my interests and hobbies aren't just restricted to campervans and mountains so, it's likely, if you stick around, you'll see more of this in the mix as life should be varied (in my opinion).

Love the views of Jack though and he’s coming on so well, seems more relaxed. Sometimes the best plan is no plan, then you can claim the good bits were planned all along 😂. Thanks for sharing 👍
We never stick to plans anyway so I guess everything goes according to plan 😄
Jack is certainly relaxing into our way of life. He was off lead whilst he was there so covered pretty much the whole forest, twice! So he was well exercised 😁

Some beautiful shots of the flora and fauna and it brought back happy memories of our stay there 😊. Jack's looking well trained off the lead, or was he showing off cos he knows he's a TH-cam star? 😄🚐🐾

Jack clearly missed his mum…. Please do some footage of dubbed out festival…. It’s on our to do list, but would be a 12 hour round trip, so , but would love to see what you guys think of it 👍🏻

I’d like to capture some of the festivals, for our own memories but festival vlogs all end up looking the same so, we’ll see how it goes.
That’s a long way although, we’re doing a 9 hour round trip to van life eats big picnic in august so sometimes it’s worth it for the experience.

Mate that looks like a brilliant trip out in the van with the dog! I always plan but never worry if things change - thats the beauty of chilling with no rules!
