    Stunningly beautiful flowers! And he obviously loves growing them, he is so excited to talk about his flowers that I don’t think he took a breath in the entire film! So sweet!

    What does it mean when you say a dahlia is a deck?

    • @DaveGillamDahlias
      @DaveGillamDahlias  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Dec is short for Decorative formation, the shape of the petal and flower.

    Do you dig up all the tubers come winter? Love the flowers but from what I understand Dahlias are a lot of work. Yours are absolutely beautiful. So full with blooms galore. Wow! What do you fertilize with?

    • @DaveGillamDahlias
      @DaveGillamDahlias  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes we lift them in the Autumn. General fertiliser and liquid feeds.

    I'm just in amazement of your gorgeous array of dahlias. Do you plant your dahlias from cuttings; if so how far apart do you space the bulbs or plant?

    • @DaveGillamDahlias
      @DaveGillamDahlias  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      All from plants. Dave plants them 2 ft apart.

      Really not sure where you find them in India, you may need to find a closer country that has them and get them from there. Sorry.
