EXPLORING CAMBODIA ON ATVs (Villages, Farms & Killing Fields)

  • In this video, we did something more unique. Instead of taking a walking tour or bus tour, we decided to ride ATVs and tour that way! We went through a couple different villages, stopped at a farm and a rice field. We went to the killing fields to learn about Cambodia's history as well. We also got a $3 manicure at the end of the day! Hope you enjoy watching this video.

    As a Travelers, before going to visit a county overseas, I always do my research about the history and cultures of the country that I intend to visit; that would be helpful and enable me to know better when traveling!! If I may, the KOC is a Constitutional Monarchy and was part of the French Indochina occupation for 90 years and not 100 years, and the Independence monument has been gifted by the Frech occupiers, but proudly built and erected by a brilliant Khmer Architect named Vann Molyvann !!! I am a native Khmer living in the US !!

    The khmer rouge have two factions, one side pro vietcong, another pro beijing both commies. After the vietcong took down pol pot, they installed pol pot #2 prime minister Hun Sen. In case viewers don't know, France also gave land to now called " southern vietnam " to Vietnam.

    I prefer the facial treatment or massage. You could sit there for ages and doze off whille they steam, apply cream, massage your face with fingers... Cost about 7-8 dollars per session, I think. I recommend this for Attila, of course!

    I'm about to write something that you may not like. Many people visit the Cambodian killing field and concentrate on the genocide created by a few individuals. What people never thought was how it was possible for the whole country to fail under this kind of genocide. Yes, I'm not going into deep discussion here. But what I can say that there are impunity and corruption within the society. There are classes within the society that you may not see. These are the things that made genocide in Cambodia possible.

    • @AttilaAndZae
      @AttilaAndZae  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the insight! It’s difficult to study everything and understand it all on a deep level, especially when you’re only briefly visiting like we were.

    At the "Killing Field" memorial, They used to require the garment to cover the legs. I guess the dress code is relaxed now. The Independence Monument was NOT a gift from France. It was designed and built all by Khmers.

    • @AttilaAndZae
      @AttilaAndZae  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We read an article that it was gifted by France, sorry, we thought this was correct. And as for the shorts, I asked if it was ok to go in like that and they said yes.
