I was there last month. There’s a lot of warning about petty theft, but I never had any problems. Maybe I was lucky, but as a Cambodian born man, I find that Cambodian people are very honest and caring. People work very very hard for a living there. I love Cambodia.
Yeah I agree, we had no issues and were told a lot to be careful, but I’m sure it does happen! It was a lovely place to visit and the people were so good 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Cambodian people are very honey but there are some thieves All thieves mainly are vietnamese who come to live In Cambodia but foreigner not know what nationality they are!
@@josieliftsthings I was born there and nearly all Russian market foods I tasted before even the rice chive too! It taste decent. Great that ur visit our country! Love ya.
I went there last month with my girlfriend and it was the most beautiful place I've ever been to. It was my first time ever going overseas, or even on a plane (probably why Phnom Penh is so special to me, also we both just graduated high school at 18 making it possible for us to go) and I couldn't have wished for a better trip. We were there for about 10 days, leaving just the day before this video was posted. Since I've got back to Australia, I've been working and attending to other commitments which made it really easily to forget just exactly how it is and what we experienced there. I don't think I've ever commented on a TH-cam video, but seeing this video brought back so many memories as we situated in this exact area (Baitong Hotel). Even those two little dogs, we saw those exact ones I'm pretty sure. Now I really really miss it there
This is such a lovely comment. I’m so happy you got to to experience a place like Cambodia and had such a great trip! 😁 I know you don’t normally comment on videos but I’m so happy you commented on mine with your story! Thank you for watching from my home too in Australia 😁😁🫶🏻
As a Cambodian person, I have to say that I was very happy when I saw this video! Normally Cambodia isn’t as recognised as Thailand or Japan or China, but I think it should be. Cambodia is a beautiful country. Everyone is nice and the food is great there. But it can be complicated with lots of theft and stuff, but other than that, the country’s amazing. I was there this year for my holidays with my family and if I had a chance to go again this year, I definitely would. My Grandma, Grandpa, cousins and aunts and uncles live there and when I came I was very happy to see them. Thank you for visiting Cambodia, I hope you loved it so much that you maybe consider to go again. 🤍
I’m so happy that a Combodian loved this video. Super appreciate your kind words, it is such a beautiful country! ❤️🙏🏼 I’ll come back when there is a chance!
@@josieliftsthings thank you and also the guy with the tuktuk who asked how you are said it right but when he said to say how are you so you can learn it he actually told you to say “I’m fine” instead of “How are you?” When you want to say “how are you” You have to add “te” Like sokhasabbay te?
Nothing about this video made me happy. I could not hold back the tears. I have been to Cambodia twice and I am looking forward to going back again. I don't know if I can stand to visit the Killing Fields, though. It is too emotional for me. I am American and I cannot imagine what these people went through.

When I watched your vlog channel about Cambodia to make me miss Cambodia so much! And your pronunciation in Khmer so clear as well! And really happy to see a lot good comments.
Great video. Phnom Penh was the first city I visited outside Europe. Its simply amazing. People are sooo nice, food is great, hotels are cheap and there is loads to see. Can't wait for another trip to Cambodia.
As a Cambodian America. I truly appreciate you guys shedding light on our country that was horribly dark in the pass. My parents were first generation Cambodian refugees and they met each other in Texas after fleeing the war. 2 million Cambodians we're executed, killed, starved in the jungle, landmines....etc...every aspect of Cambodian that time was wiped out. From doctors to teachers. We still haven't recovered because we rarely talk about it. I'm happy to see you giving us a platform
As someone that’s into all Asian countries, I have to say that Cambodia really rubbed off on me the strongest in a good way of course. There is so much devastating, yet beautiful history behind this beautiful country and culture. I love it very much. I know usually people are only into the major popular Asian countries such as South Korea, Japan, and China, but Cambodia is so amazing. I love the Buddhism it has as well ( I know other countries have that religion as well). I hope to visit someday. I want to learn Khmer as well. Thailand also seems similar in some ways and Id love to visit there too. I have a lot of love for the less recognized Asian countries.
Glad you had fun in Cambodia! Cambodia can be very different from western countries such as Crossing the road, Street food, etc. This video is very inspiring, and I hope people come visit this country more to try and learn our amazing cultures.
Always interesting to see peoples reaction to Phnom Penh/ Cambodia when they first arrive. After a while though, the extraordinary becomes the ordinary.
