The night stalker visited my grandparents house, he came hungry and asked for food so my grandparents served him a meal. Luckily nothing bad happened to them. I just saw the documentary of him on Netflix, and my grandparents still remember him till this very day. Crazy guy.
I stayed in this hotel in 2008. I didn't know anything about the history until years later when Elisa went missing. It was the only place in LA you could stay for $40 a night. Even with no knowledge of the history, the hotel was definitely creepy. I also experienced my first earthquake on the 11th floor of the Cecil, too. I'm glad I was able to experience such a strange piece of Los Angeles history.

Not gonna lie, the fact that people were showering, brushing their teeth and drinking the water coming from where Elisa's body was floating/decaying really just always gives me the creeps. I just can't shake it. Also, my theory is she was either being followed or she had serious mental health issues and felt like she was and was having a psychotic break. I'm leaning more towards possible undiagnosed mental issues because no one was ever seen around her at all. She just appeared to be hiding, paranoid and talking to someone but we never see anyone else ever around her. I think she went to the roof, opened the water tank for whatever reason (but I really don't feel like it wasn't to kill herself because morbidly speaking, there were way easier options in that sketchy building, including the height of it - if she wanted to do that) and I really think she fell in and just couldn't get back out. Either way, very sad. Also, someone visited the Cecil after just to see how one would take the same steps she did and that roof latch that Corbin said was locked, was actually unlocked when the person exploring just randomly happened to find it so that just shows that the night she died, they might not have locked it. Obviously they aren't going to admit negligence on their part as a hotel of leaving it open, but it is a possibility.
No that is what made this case so weird. Those lids would have been way too heavy for her to open them by herself. That’s why they still can’t figure it out.
She had a diagnosis also her family confirmed that during the episodes she would feel like she was followed and tried to hide. Now the case is closed as she tried to hide in the water tank from hellucinations.

Exploring abandoned buildings alone really takes a toll in you physiologically because you hear and see things you cant explain and so it eventually just wears down your sanity

Yeah! You're right about that fire escape. I've worked many years in construction and regularly worked on scaffolding, I wouldn't even climb that second ladder. It’s not set on an angle, a straight ladder is harder to climb. And no safety barrier anywhere around it. No way.

It's certainly got that Haunted Mansion/Overlook Hotel vibe. The entrance and lobby are gorgeous, but the rooms look like they're belong to a cheap roadside motel. How did Lisa get up to the roof? Taking one look at that ladder, I would just go back to my room, even if I was mentally disturbed.
Elisa's story makes me so sad. She came to california to get away from stress at home and had been doing really well and having fun. Calling her parents every day etc. She had just been to the san diego zoo and told her mom how much fun she was having. Then of course she entered the Cecil and everything went wrong. I feel like if she stayed somewhere else she'd still be alive. She was just trying to vacation and escape daily life, like any of us would!

I've watched the 2 hour episode of Ghost Adventures where they went to the Cecil hotel. They explored many different rooms including the room where the Night stalker lived in. Zak Bagans stayed in that room within 15 minutes He felt like Richard Ramirez was watching him and making him sick. Either way Kudos to the Ghost Adventures team and Josh for this amazing content.

This hotel was also the inspiration for American Horror Story: Hotel. There is a Ramirez reference and there was even a reference to the the bad tasting and smelling water due to a corpse rotting in a bath tub. The lobby looks insanely similar to me as well. AWESOME VIDEO BY THE WAY!!!

A lot of people heard it. I was t even hearing headphones and heard it like it was a living person saying it. However I think it was a warning for them to be careful, hints why the ghost lady said what she said.
I'm working security in the lobby of an empty hotel due to the pandemic right now until 8 am. All the lights are off except the lobby computer that I'm watching this on. I hear screams and doors begin pulled every now an then the payphone rings around 2am. I've been working here for a year now. It sucks but bills needs to be paid.

I’ve had an interest in the Cecil hotel for almost ten years now and the documentary did not “clean up the past”, I find it exposed it more than anything. I personally want to stay there, but many would avoid staying here for obvious reasons. It’s presently closed for renovations, not because of bad business or COVID-19.

i used to work a block away, had opportunity to dumpster dive it was very eery walking through the alley. i was able to hear noises from above, but at that time the hotel was still open so found good stuff.

It's certainly got that Haunted Mansion/Overlook Hotel vibe. The entrance and lobby are gorgeous, but the rooms look like they're belong to a cheap roadside motel. How did Lisa get up to the roof? Taking one look at that ladder, I would just go back to my room, even if I was mentally disturbed.
i think she was having a psychotic episode so you might not feel fear from climbing etc etc
Elisa's story makes me so sad. She came to california to get away from stress at home and had been doing really well and having fun. Calling her parents every day etc. She had just been to the san diego zoo and told her mom how much fun she was having. Then of course she entered the Cecil and everything went wrong. I feel like if she stayed somewhere else she'd still be alive. She was just trying to vacation and escape daily life, like any of us would!
She was off her meds so the psychotic breakdown was inevitable

I've watched the 2 hour episode of Ghost Adventures where they went to the Cecil hotel.
They explored many different rooms including the room where the Night stalker lived in. Zak Bagans stayed in that room within 15 minutes He felt like Richard Ramirez was watching him and making him sick.
Either way Kudos to the Ghost Adventures team and Josh for this amazing content.

at 6:26 he said the rules for the elevator game say youre supposed to enter and play alone, but he played it with the 2 other guys from TFIL so maybe thats why the little girl didn't enter or the elevator didn't go straight up.
Edit: Also, maybe the screeching was the little girl because she was frustrated that she couldn't enter the elevator

This hotel was also the inspiration for American Horror Story: Hotel. There is a Ramirez reference and there was even a reference to the the bad tasting and smelling water due to a corpse rotting in a bath tub. The lobby looks insanely similar to me as well. AWESOME VIDEO BY THE WAY!!!
It's interesting seeing what you guys do when the paranormal investigation is over. It's also nice seeing some "behind the scenes" kind of thing that won't be on the TFIL videos.

I'm working security in the lobby of an empty hotel due to the pandemic right now until 8 am. All the lights are off except the lobby computer that I'm watching this on. I hear screams and doors begin pulled every now an then the payphone rings around 2am. I've been working here for a year now. It sucks but bills needs to be paid.

I’ve had an interest in the Cecil hotel for almost ten years now and the documentary did not “clean up the past”, I find it exposed it more than anything. I personally want to stay there, but many would avoid staying here for obvious reasons.
It’s presently closed for renovations, not because of bad business or COVID-19.

i used to work a block away, had opportunity to dumpster dive it was very eery walking through the alley. i was able to hear noises from above, but at that time the hotel was still open so found good stuff.
