Hi there 😊 we loved this one watching them baby chick's growing up!! You have such a beautiful bond with them! The potatoes looked pretty good too. Thanks for sharing 👍
This batch of babies are very friendly. They seem to really enjoy human interaction 🥰. So amazing how fast they grow. A few more months and eggs will be on the way 🤞. Thank you so much for watching!!!!
I think I need to protect my vegetable gardens better, for a woodchuck thinks it is an all-you-can-eat buffet. Hey Rob, that ring looks mighty tight on your finger. 🐢
A small fence around the perimeter can make a world of difference. As for the ring, guess it’s been there for 30 years without a refitting. May need to do that soon lol 😂
Update. Ring has been cut off. I admit I let this go far too long and there was no other way to remove. After I showed it to Trish she told me to listen to you. Thanks for saving my finger from a very painful outcome in the near future 🙏
Are you headed out for the storm that's coming this weekend and if so which direction? Trying to figure out if we should move our RV out of Keaton Beach and where to move it.
So far we are staying. We should know more in the afternoon tomorrow as the storm develops. We have weathered a CAT 2 before but not in a motorhome. Hoping to know more tomorrow to make a choice. We spent the day preparing just in case we need to move before the wind makes travel too difficult. We would likely head West down I10 toward Pensacola 🙏
How's your grass holding up in this heat and dry spell? My winter grass has pretty much crapped out but my summer Bahia grass seems to be taking some hold but really needs some rain to get it going. If you see any rain over your way send some over to my place (I'm out of town but looking in with my cameras). Thanks!
Did I hear you say “tarragon?” Where did you find real tarragon? Have you had problems with squirrels or bunnies getting into or eating your crops? We just had a bunny nesting in one of the 12”high raised beds. We left it alone as we feel like it’s their nature too but I think we will try to prevent them from getting in there next Spring.
Our neighbors gave us the tarragon and not sure where they got it. We will have to ask the next time they come back from up north. We use short fencing around the garden to reduce cute critters from having a quick snack. May be switching to electric fencing in the future if needed. Check out Dyna trap for flying bugs that eat leaves. Works amazing and makes for good dehydrated treats for our chickens 🐓

Grass is holding in areas with enough rain but looking forward to seeding different grass once I get more nutrient in the soil. We need rain!!!
