The quick disconnect port you used to check fuel psi is before the secondary fuel filter. Measuring fuel psi at that port does not tell you actual fuel psi in the head. Why did you buy the spring update? All you had to do is remove the current spring and stretch it some and save some money.
@@reuben5274 You still didn't tell me the time frame that steel springs shrink back to normal size. Also if I compress the spring, will it expand back out? What if I put a shim next to the spring, what is the out come of that?
Did your bumper come with the UST brackets? i have a lift bumper kit with UST plates and it's ON there..there is very minimal movement at the bottom corners but kind of unavoidable unless you Fab something like what you did...truck is looking good!
@@CustomRigs ah i see..yeah that would cause a wobble...you thinking about Flip kit..i think it's a must for low rides..i tore up 2 bumpers lol..might be worth it in the long run
Niice looking W9 ! Dropped today my T6 at my local CAT dealer for some work and i asked the Foreman whats a good fuel pressure on a BXS. Mine at idle is 80 and at 1500rpm is about 87. He said is within specs. Did you feel any diference in sound or driving after you changed the transfer pump ?
So far it’s been running smoother, I’ve been told the old style transfer pump has a weak spring in it that gets weaker over time. We will see this week how well she is riding with the higher fuel pressure.
@spoolinsvt6489 I run midwest and usually I'm not too heavy. Fuel economy and power no significant improvement. Got 550hp file. Only improvement that I noticed better Idling.
@@Maxim22vitionI see, thanks for the reply. Trying to chase down an issue I am having with my 06 C-15 acert. Only gettting 32-38psi. Have a 550 file on it but getting passed by small paccars is not okay lol. I run in the PNW with plenty of hills and grades at about 100k
This is the original leafs springs that came on the older Kenworths because they are thinner, the main leaf stays original and the support leaf is cut in half. We are trying to find a good deal on the ag130 spring but man they are almost 2k for both sides
@@Bagnum05 so far pretty good other than lots of the 12 gauge kits we installed all have same problem when it comes to removing the shocks the bolts strip out. Ends up they use soft metal rods that they cut the thread themselves for the shock mounts on the big brackets instead of good grade 8 bolts.
That is 100% wrong information on cat fuel pressure!!!!! The only purpose for spring in the pump is bypass pressure AT THE PUMP...NOT ENGINE. Fuel pressure regulator changes pressure to injectors. You had bad transfer pump which is why your pressure came back to regulator specs. HP & TQ claims are unreasonable too!
Truck is looking amazing inside and outside. Love seeing the new mods you're doing to it. Peace ✌
Man the bumper makes a huge difference your truck looks way better now I didn’t even recognize it at first 👍👍👍😎
The truck looks really good, and I love that you always share information. Respect 👍🏾
Дело мастера боится. Удачи в работе.
That's the way we ALWAYZ Do is put angle iron supports before getting flip bumpers
Love your videos like the way you explain what your doing
Красиво смотрится Кенворт. Реально кастум.
Your Truck looks great brother man ! Keep up the good work ✌🏼
Before replacing the lift pump , check for suction leaks from the fuel tank stand pipes and fuel lines to the pump .
Thanks for the information. Great job.
Trucks looking good man
love what you do keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet looking run the life’s look good
Good work on weekend with Dyadya Vova Classic!
A little old of a post, but do you recall what the upgraded fuel pump part number is? Looking to swap mine out on my c15 also
Good looking w9 nice video 👌.
I did 1 1/2 Leaf Springs as well when I put on the Air Ride wanted the 1/2 Spring with the hook just in case.
After rolling with 2 leafs on air ride it was stiff, a lot better ride after going 1 1/2.
Sweet bro💯🇺🇸🚛👍
Nice 👍

Where did you buy all the parts to make that fuel pressure gauge?

What made you change the transfer pump.? Sucking air, truck felt sluggish?

If you stretch the old spring it will go back to its original length over time
@@reuben5274 What is the time frame? Did not know that steel would shrink. Wow learned something after working on these for 40+ years.
@@johngoldsmith6629 well I’m happy I taught you something and it’s good to see you’re still willing to learn 👍🏻

What was the new transfer pump part number?
That type of bumper what it does is two things against your fuel economy, and stop the air front refresh the engine oil and spend more fuel
I’ve been getting 6.8 on average.. pretty happy so far for a Cat

Hey brotha what fuel pump did u buy ? Do u know the part number?
They make kits for that
Тема подскажи как разница заметна стала после замены пружины
Can you tell where you got those new leaf springs
It’s the factory ones that came with the Kenworth, make it into a 1 1/2. The main spring stays full length. The support spring can be cut in half.
What leafspring is that? I'm about to bag my kw and was just gunna use the ag130 leafspring
This is the original leafs springs that came on the older Kenworths because they are thinner, the main leaf stays original and the support leaf is cut in half. We are trying to find a good deal on the ag130 spring but man they are almost 2k for both sides
Where did u get the grill and kw sign and pull emblem on the hood
Grill from Jacks chrome shop.. took about 5 months for it to come in when they said only a month. Emblem I found on Amazon
Can you do that on the Detroit 60
I believe so
Did you have the 12 gauge setup on this truck as well?
Yes running 12 gauge air ride on this truck
@@CustomRigs have you had any issues other than the bag bracket. Thinking about buying this kit with the kw air bag for my 389

No it actually stayed the same but it’s a lot softer now

How much did you buy this truck for???
25k before the engine swap and everything I did so far to it
