This might just be me, but it seems that out of everyone there... Ruby is the only one trying to understand what going on, by not being angry with Ozpin even though she is. well everyone else aside from the old lady is to caught up in there own anger, to even think about why he was like this. Everyone wanted answers and they wouldn't just let Ozpin stall them again. And besides the storm didn't hit them till nightfall and even if it was coming they weren't in the right mind. Only Maria was calm while the others just wanted Ozpin to talk to them. So really they just wanted to know the truth and didn't think about anything else.
