As someone who started an alt account last week, they REMOVED all TB gating, i was in Penacony on TB 29, and in 5 days I have cleared Penacony and is TB 41.
Can confirm this, I have an alt account started when black swan banner is still up currently at TL 57 if you do want to enjoy 300% relic drops start your account as early as possible!
That's awesome ! To be fare in HSR the biggest time gate when the game started was mainly just not enough side quests to get TB lvl fast as we simply had just 2 zones to do. Had to rely on daily stamina farm to get that TB lvl up compared to now that there's just so much more to do with out needing stamina that speeds up the whole process and it really doesn't take that much time to enjoy everything to get to 40+ TB. HSR keeps on wining.

Ratio is too overrated for new players. I started on Sparkle's banner (and pulled her), now I am TR53 and found that QQ (E3 for me) is just straight up better in 90% of scenarios, even including single target, unless there is actual quantum weakness on the enemy (rare). I have them both built equally. He needs specific enemies and multiple specific teammates to be good. He is more for late game players(who can utilize him properly), or someone who doesn't have any damage dealer, even no QQ on their account. In other cases a newbie pulls for a damage dealer and benches him immediately I imagine. I would recommend just using QQ. By the time a newbie needs a second dps, he can most definitely just pull it from the limited banner. I started and rerolled for Sparkle, pulled her, then pulled her LC, and now I have a whole 133 pulls saved as f2p at TR53. Nah, I'd say newbies would be just fine without Ratio. Not better, but just fine, not a big loss.
@@twothreeoneoneseventwoonefour5 I also created my alt account recently , and man I forgot how bad it feels to use Pela without her e4 and Resolution lightcone . She doesn't give enough debuff so I use my E1 Guinaifen with Ratio instead.
@@twothreeoneoneseventwoonefour5I think this is a good take, Ratio gets a lot better the more you invest in him and he can be an absolute beast with the proper team but it's far from accessible to new players. Also he doesn't feel as versatile as other units outside of MoC (or SU on elation/hunt blessings). He's a nice bonus for anyone but new players won't be able to maximize his potential early on.
I would like to add something on the reset checklist : use all of your echo war attempts each week. Really great guide for new player, amazing job here!

Hey there! I just started playing HSR a few days ago. I just wanna say thank you for making this video. It's honestly really helpful! Yesterday, I finally got Jingliu as my third 5-star after Dr. Ratio and Yanqing (I'm excluding the Trailblazer). And honestly, she's AMAZING for me to use so far.
Same sentiments. He starts slow then gain a momentum then rush his words. I tried to slow it with caption however some part is still hard to understand. Don't get me wrong, he's helpful and his content is informative, hope he improve his phasing of words.
Unless you get Gepard/Bailu from the beginner banner, then it's better to spend your jades on one of the insane upcoming DPS characters, like Jingliu or Acheron. Gepard carried me through most of the game and I still use him almost always in MoC. I'd hate to see a beginner get Gepard as their first 5* and then still pull for Luocha or Aventurine, seems like kind of a waste unless they're choosing them for other reasons like character design, etc.

Great video idea, hopefully your mintpicking in Genshin has convinced some of those players to follow you and discover Star Rail! 😊 A couple of things I'd add/disagree with is don't be afraid to build Himeko or Clara if you get them from the guaranteed banner or wherever. Yes they have slightly lower value than Dr. Ratio long term but not by much, especially Himeko. Her innate synergy with Herta makes them some of the strongest DPS for the endgame Pure Fiction game mode (and Dr. Ratio really struggles here). Clara likewise is quite strong in both Pure Fiction and Memory of Chaos, and she provides coverage for the physical element. She's probably the most likely to be replaced of the three in the future but I still use her a lot and she 36* any physical weak MoC with ease. Pela in my opinion is on the same level as Tingyun when it comes to build priority. With how universal she is, and not dependent on eidolons, she's an amazing asset to any team at any investment level. Her overall impact might be slightly lower than Tingyun but she's equally important to build in my opinion, especially since she synergizes so well with our free DPS Dr. Ratio. When it comes to the 4* sustains, Gallagher hasn't be released yet, but from what is known about him he's not going to be a traditional solo sustain. He excels in break teams and DoT teams, and is likely going to require some pretty deep game knowledge to fully utilize and bring him to the level of an endgame solo sustain. Lynx on the other hand is very easy to use and universal. She has a special synergy with Destruction DPS though, so keep that in mind. As a brand new player I would 100% go for Lynx as my free 4*, unless you're very infatuated with Gallagher. Waifu/Husbando > meta. Lastly the Tracks of Destiny being high priority, I dunno. I think a lot of guidemakers and spenders run out of them because they build so many characters, and with high trace levels too. I'm a $5 per month guy who pulls a lot of characters and I still have nearly 50 of them rotting in my inventory. That's one thing I don't think I'll ever run out of. That said the ones from the shop are cheap enough to still be worth getting. I recommend only bringing DPS to level 10 traces (except if they don't use it, often the case with basic attack), along with the most important trace on support characters (the one that their buff/debuff scales with), even sustains can most of the time be left at 8 or 9. That will save you a lot of trailblaze power that can go to relic farming as well.
Just wanted to add that for endgame, you can still run non dps at 70/80 and still full clear moc12/p4. This can save some of your xp resources and help build endgame teams faster.
im using this guide to raise my 2nd account, the units im raising first are Acheron Ruan Mei Pela and Galager ( i skipped some of the must build u pointed because i think it was a better option to raise those first )
25:02 I would say get the Refined Aether from the Jokes Comes True shop as well because Aether is so hard to come by later on. There is a Golden Calyx for them, but I find it a waste because it’s much better to use your Trailblaze Power on traces/relics. So I never do them unless I absolutely need to. You’ll be able to buy everything out later on once you can clear everything in MoC and Pure Fiction anyway
PUZZLES = FREE 4-STAR RELICS. From the Xianzhou Luofu onwards the puzzle/miniboss chests will drop 4-star relics that will easily carry you through TB 50+ with zero stamina required. Keep doing them until you get the right main stats (in early game ATK chest & ATK/SPD boots for your main dps, anything is fine for supports/sustains). Puzzle/miniboss chests in Penacony often drop the follow-up relic set (Ashblazing Grand Duke) which makes it quite easy to get a 2 piece set for your Ratio without having to spend any stamina.
dude it's easy to say "keep doing" but there are like maybe 10-15 chests in the whole game with 4* artifacts in them, and none of them guaranteed to have a good stat. I'd say don't waste your time on them at all, at least not for the relics. Also 4 star relics won't "carry" you through TB50+ lol. Are we even playing the same game? TB50+ expects you to have 5 stars with the correct main stats(no substats), lvl 70 characters, lc and updated traces for "normal" difficulty. Anything less and you would feel pretty miserable with the gameplay (which is intended by the devs to make you spend money and pull more btw).
20:27 well RIP I got so frustrated not pulling eidolons for Tingyun on her last banner I just went and bought 1 TY eidolon from the starlight EX. Luckily by the time I get bronya I'll be pretty close to 600.
btw you can get a double five star on the beginner banner. I got a double on one account at 30 pulls on the beginner banner on one account. It was Yanqing and Bronya in one ten pull
Never buy 5 copies of the 2.0 LCs from the Forgotten Hall shop because you get one of each from Penacony exploration for free. this way you can save 200 Lucent Afterglow for your next purchase.
Can somebody explain the 1 dps + 2 supports + 1 sustain logic a bit more in depth? I'm not exactly a new arrival but I'm a permanent noob in many aspects, and I just don't know how to use the supports (or why, besides the game modes where turns are counted).
So if I started recently playing HSR, there's no reason to hold trailblazer power? I can spend all of them to level up? I didnt get it, I might be stupid xD
I'll make it short : you can save to make it more efficient past trailblaze level 50-60 (depends if you farm traces or relics) or you can all in to level equilibrium asap to get better daily+weekly rewards both are valid imo, play at your own pace :)
There's one key detail that'll help you choose between MrPokke's suggestion or MechaStorm7's alternative: it all depends on how fast you plan on playing the game. Basically, the bigger your Trailblaze level (that you level up from doing story missions, daily missions, farming stuff, etc.) the better the rewards you'll get from farming. So MrPokke is telling you that it's more worth it to just use all your Fuel to recharge Trailblaze Power so you can farm more and get more EXP, leveling up faster to get to the point where you get the better rewards. But here's the thing: if you plan on going through the story and doing missions ASAP, you'll level up fast enough just from doing that, so you don't need to spend all your Fuel for now. It's all up to how fast you're gonna grind the missions. This option is more optimal, but only if you grind through the story and missions really fast. Basically, if you plan on enjoying the game without a pressure to rush through the story and not play like 10+ hours a day, MrPokke's suggestion is better for you. Just use the Fuel, you'll get more eventually.
People that recommend to hold fuel are clueless, don't listen to them. One fuel is 60 energy, you regenerate 240 per day. Until you achieve TR60 you would probably have around ~60 fuel. It is equal to mere 2 weeks of stamina. 2 weeks. Unless you lose interest and drop the game, you are going to play this game for YEARS. It is a drop in the ocean and it is worthless. So don't listen to anyone and spend it as soon as you see fit, it doesn't f*cking matter. It was made to make your PROGRESSION easier. If you feel that you need to level up the character to finish some boss USE it, if you need an artifact set (at least the set with correct MAIN stats), then USE it right away, it was quite literally made exactly for that. Some people like to finish the most of the game's content in a week, because they like the game, and it is just the right amount to get you going for all content. Unless you are fine being weak and miserable for the first months of playing the game, not wanting to even boot the game because your characters die from 2 f*cking hits from a boss(because all your relics, lc, traces are underleveled), then use the fuel.
If someone got Welt from standard, I'd say that's a pretty good unit to build along with Ratio. He works extremely well with him and Acheron, his CC will help keep your team alive/ his damage isn't bad, and imaginary is everywhere iirc. He's honestly pretty relevant ATM and at least until 2.2, where people don't have 2 REALLY good units to go with him, obtainable fairly easily, he has just as much build value as Bronya and Gepard, honestly. Clara, Himeko, and Yanqing would be the ones I'd bench. Hell, if you got Sparkle, Bronya's kinda benched too unless you're going for Jing. Also, new players get Lynx, Yukong, and QQ for free, so Nat doesn't necessarily have to be raised at all. Depending on if you get him or not while rolling for Acheron, Gallagher would be the best choice for a 2nd healer, followed by Xueyi and Hanya, personally.

i am a old player but i started a new account and got acheron, i know i dont need her lightcon but i want to get so i can make her stgronger i dont care about rushing the game to get 12stars moc and the only caracthers i want are, ruan mei, kafka, black swan and sparkle, should i summon for her lightcon or not, i am level 15
Playing the game since launch. One thing i day to “free” to play players. Any time is a good time to start and just do the daily, is easy to do, just 15 min a day. Keep farming relics, just stock them so you have materials to level up. Battle pass is awesome if you dont want to waste much, but i only recommend it. No need for the monthly one, just save enough jades for the pulls you want.
I feel Ruan Mei banner was the best banner to start. Get Ruan mei, get Ratio, Get Kafka, black swan, sparkle, acheron and Jingliu ans you pretty much win the game.. # Justrollbetter

I get the light cone issue. And yes she has a restriction but you can get the other units in her team easily. Espacially with Pela and Gallagher on her banner. So you already have 2 very good units with her. And we are also getting a 4 star selector, so you can get another nihility unit easily, IF you don‘t have a better 4 star option. So yeah I agree with the first statement but I personally would say, it‘s really not hard to build a team with her.
s1/gnsw, both in the same lc banner. pela + any nihility, or even bronya/sparkle can work at e0. not optimal, still really strong at e0s0 due to how her kit works

Keep doing them until you get the right main stats (in early game ATK chest & ATK/SPD boots for your main dps, anything is fine for supports/sustains).
Puzzle/miniboss chests in Penacony often drop the follow-up relic set (Ashblazing Grand Duke) which makes it quite easy to get a 2 piece set for your Ratio without having to spend any stamina.
dude it's easy to say "keep doing" but there are like maybe 10-15 chests in the whole game with 4* artifacts in them, and none of them guaranteed to have a good stat. I'd say don't waste your time on them at all, at least not for the relics. Also 4 star relics won't "carry" you through TB50+ lol. Are we even playing the same game? TB50+ expects you to have 5 stars with the correct main stats(no substats), lvl 70 characters, lc and updated traces for "normal" difficulty. Anything less and you would feel pretty miserable with the gameplay (which is intended by the devs to make you spend money and pull more btw).

btw you can get a double five star on the beginner banner. I got a double on one account at 30 pulls on the beginner banner on one account. It was Yanqing and Bronya in one ten pull

Can somebody explain the 1 dps + 2 supports + 1 sustain logic a bit more in depth? I'm not exactly a new arrival but I'm a permanent noob in many aspects, and I just don't know how to use the supports (or why, besides the game modes where turns are counted).

I'll make it short : you can save to make it more efficient past trailblaze level 50-60 (depends if you farm traces or relics)
or you can all in to level equilibrium asap to get better daily+weekly rewards
both are valid imo, play at your own pace :)
yeap, faster you level = more daily/weekly stellar jade income and farming stage efficiency. stellar jades are the most important resource.
dont hoard ur daily free stamina, but for fuel, use them to push u faster when ure at tb level 55 for more value per stamina.
There's one key detail that'll help you choose between MrPokke's suggestion or MechaStorm7's alternative: it all depends on how fast you plan on playing the game.
Basically, the bigger your Trailblaze level (that you level up from doing story missions, daily missions, farming stuff, etc.) the better the rewards you'll get from farming. So MrPokke is telling you that it's more worth it to just use all your Fuel to recharge Trailblaze Power so you can farm more and get more EXP, leveling up faster to get to the point where you get the better rewards.
But here's the thing: if you plan on going through the story and doing missions ASAP, you'll level up fast enough just from doing that, so you don't need to spend all your Fuel for now. It's all up to how fast you're gonna grind the missions. This option is more optimal, but only if you grind through the story and missions really fast.
Basically, if you plan on enjoying the game without a pressure to rush through the story and not play like 10+ hours a day, MrPokke's suggestion is better for you. Just use the Fuel, you'll get more eventually.
People that recommend to hold fuel are clueless, don't listen to them. One fuel is 60 energy, you regenerate 240 per day. Until you achieve TR60 you would probably have around ~60 fuel. It is equal to mere 2 weeks of stamina. 2 weeks. Unless you lose interest and drop the game, you are going to play this game for YEARS. It is a drop in the ocean and it is worthless. So don't listen to anyone and spend it as soon as you see fit, it doesn't f*cking matter. It was made to make your PROGRESSION easier. If you feel that you need to level up the character to finish some boss USE it, if you need an artifact set (at least the set with correct MAIN stats), then USE it right away, it was quite literally made exactly for that. Some people like to finish the most of the game's content in a week, because they like the game, and it is just the right amount to get you going for all content. Unless you are fine being weak and miserable for the first months of playing the game, not wanting to even boot the game because your characters die from 2 f*cking hits from a boss(because all your relics, lc, traces are underleveled), then use the fuel.
If someone got Welt from standard, I'd say that's a pretty good unit to build along with Ratio. He works extremely well with him and Acheron, his CC will help keep your team alive/ his damage isn't bad, and imaginary is everywhere iirc. He's honestly pretty relevant ATM and at least until 2.2, where people don't have 2 REALLY good units to go with him, obtainable fairly easily, he has just as much build value as Bronya and Gepard, honestly.
Clara, Himeko, and Yanqing would be the ones I'd bench. Hell, if you got Sparkle, Bronya's kinda benched too unless you're going for Jing.
Also, new players get Lynx, Yukong, and QQ for free, so Nat doesn't necessarily have to be raised at all. Depending on if you get him or not while rolling for Acheron, Gallagher would be the best choice for a 2nd healer, followed by Xueyi and Hanya, personally.

i am a old player but i started a new account and got acheron, i know i dont need her lightcon but i want to get so i can make her stgronger i dont care about rushing the game to get 12stars moc and the only caracthers i want are, ruan mei, kafka, black swan and sparkle, should i summon for her lightcon or not, i am level 15
since i have much time to wait i think the best choice is go for her 5 star lightcon, i dont have any lightcon not even a 4 star for her

Playing the game since launch. One thing i day to “free” to play players. Any time is a good time to start and just do the daily, is easy to do, just 15 min a day. Keep farming relics, just stock them so you have materials to level up. Battle pass is awesome if you dont want to waste much, but i only recommend it. No need for the monthly one, just save enough jades for the pulls you want.

I get the light cone issue. And yes she has a restriction but you can get the other units in her team easily. Espacially with Pela and Gallagher on her banner. So you already have 2 very good units with her. And we are also getting a 4 star selector, so you can get another nihility unit easily, IF you don‘t have a better 4 star option. So yeah I agree with the first statement but I personally would say, it‘s really not hard to build a team with her.
