Yay i just ordered my first proper big ipod, it's a 30gb 5th gen because it had the video support but isn't a nightmare to open like the 6th and 7th gens
when that tiny thing has more storage than my pc...
:(
Facts
yes, but it'd be hecka slow when transferring files at like less than 10mb/s when a normal SSD can do like 200mb/s
my hard drive is like 80 gigs end me please
*laughs in 2tb 2009 pc *
Laughs in half a terabyte
iPod: is charging
DankPods: *WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
I absolutely adore how you synced the part with the 7th gen to the music here. It's like a music video, almost.
You need more views 🔥 Such an underated channel! Keep up the good work!!
Hey thanks so much!!
Apple: How do we make a successful product?
DankPods: Does it play Shrek?
Apple: Yes
DankPods: well that's a billion dollars worth of technology right there
As an iPod classic 6th gen owner, I have fitted a 3000 maH battery in with a stock Toshiba drive.
Have I ever cared about iPods: No
Am I an audiophile: no
Do i like DankPods content: without a doubt
In high school, as a precursor to memes, my friend installed the Tune software on an iPod. I thought it was hilarious.
Coming back to this video is amazing. Seeing your growth is fantastic. Here’s to your first million subs and to your subsequent millions from here
This old ipod has more capacity than the new ipod touch 2019
Cuz he went and put a terabyte worth’s of storage whilest the Ipode touch has already 256 default (Well that’s how much danks Ipod touch has on it)
Person: *Tries to shuffle songs on Ipod*
Settings: *Let me introduce myself*
first Dankpods video I’ve watched
Now you have provoked me to buy an iPod and do this experiment myself
That was the plan! iPods are fun to mod aye
DankPods that is true
way less complicated than any iphones
put rockbox on it
This video will definitely increase sales for second hand iPods
Coming back to this vid really reminds you how messed up his desk and the ipad are today
Reminds me of my fav little mp3 player, the original Sony Walkman 1.5" COLOR LED screen! I watched so many music videos on that 64gb beauty, listened to all the boybands I crushed over so long ago... 💜
Put in the newly released 1tb micro sd cards. Need them sweet 4tb
RAM has left the chat
Shield S. Wait there’s a terabyte microSD now?? When did that come out?
MikeJ 2016 some time this year
Shield S. I knew they were coming but I didn’t think until next year. Get this I had a DELL tower pc processor with 591mb back in 2001 had like 200mb of ram wow tech changes quickly these days.
MikeJ 2016 1tb ssd drives are super cheap nowadays too
Streaming music is the future
_Dankpod with his 1tb iPod_ yeah, I think so
Such a throwback. Takes me back to the pandemic, but in a good way
You could literally go years and never have to add songs to this.
You have to the grounding point closer to the floor
I’m sorry
Watching your videos have really got me interested in audiophile tech and mp3 tech in general, really needed a hobby and this is just the coolest
11:10 if you want the Answer immediately without all the fluff. I recommend staying for the fluff though.
Have I ever planned on doing this: No
Am I competent enough to do this: heck no
Am I going to subscribe: yes
Man he's CALM
4:18 would blow my mind in like 2006.
Croc: Legend of the Gobbos soundtrack? I approve.
Right?? Its a total jam
Damn, I used to repair and mod iPods back in high school in the late 00's. This video really takes me back. The 5.5 gen was by far my favorite model to use and work on, and was able to work with non-iTunes players at the time
Can an ipod run Spotify?
Some guy that created the drives: (slams keyboard where the numbers are)
Some guy that created the drives: Perfect storage for an MP3 player!
DankPods: Shuffle
Ipod: You're going to the settings menu, Jimbo
The fact that the playlist containing all of dankpods videos is seemingly in no particular order kinda adds to the scuff charm of the dankpods channel, not chronological, alphabetical, popularity, or anything.
I miss my old 30gb iPod “video” as it was referred to back in ‘05
That 80GB iPod hard drive already had more space than my entire iPhone. And they say we’ve gone forward in time.
You must have the broadest sense of music ever, my guy. An Australian listening to Norwegian country, I'd never thought I'd see the day.
I now feel like doing this to my iPod, even though I already upgraded my iPhone 6 to 128GB...
He probably means getting a new one at the Apple store...

(pauses video)
(checks upload date)
(unpauses video)
Holy shit! I want one! I love the interface on the old iPods.
I have one black 30GB. And it still runing perfectly
Spotify Shuffle with millions of tracks: exists
Nobody:
DankPod: 1TB iPod Shuffle with a few thousand song that takes you to settings
Yeah, some of us like music that doesn't stop when you lose reception on a device that has enough battery to last more than a day.
@@TheDemocrab i have spotify premium so no problems there👍
Tbh Spotify shuffle is crap. Often end up with the same songs not long later. Sometimes it'll double all the songs but if you remove one of the two or removes both 😑
@@DanielPasta Spotify premium doesn't affect your reception or battery life, though. Streaming simply requires you to have a data connection and uses more battery (by using said data connection) by default lol
@@TheDemocrab I have all my playlists saved for offline use anyways. Have the storage capacity so why not to save data or when I can't get reception. I was just pointing out that the shuffle mode isn't the best
I remember watching this as soon as it was released.
*and thus a legend was born*
4:17 "Look at the ssss(hhahaaaa)"
