    You hit so many nails on the head. So many of my non-arab friends follow some of the ulamaa mentioned in your talk blindly, and wholeheartedly believe that there is absolutely no conflict of interests in their stances, some of which you mentioned. Many Palestinians, like myself are unfortunately hearing from some of these people trying to justify the recent normalization of relationships with Israeli by the UAE and other Arab nations. Unbeknownst to many Muslims living in the west, some of these ulama got too caught up with Arab authoritarian regimes.
