Bro these trains stop at historical places for a tour, then you get back to the train for refreshment and rest. Thats why the costs are so high. Its not just the train ride. But the tour of the sites too.

These trains have full tour packages included in it, they travel in between many touristic cities and sites and also offer five star stay, touring and meals in the city it stops that's why the prices are humongous. Going by the description of the Indian train by the sureet mam it seems she travelled a while back and that too in a general coach . Now things have changed drastically, i've been to london and i can tell you delhi metro is way way better than the london tube train.
and nobody sits on the top of the train 😂 lol 😂 , it's the streotypical image of India of the past
