Almost 66% of TATA's equity is owned by a charity trust, the current owner Ratan Tata, has a share of only 0.886% of total equity. If this 66% was to be added to his personal financial kitty, he might well be the second richest person in the world, if not the first.

I am TCS employee and all this info is 100% correct. A lot is missed. We also have many Taj hotels in India. But Sir Ratan Tata is very down to earth. And the company is very employee centric
