I appreciate Rick for asking Larry the definition of words. I thought that was a very nice comment for me to say at this time.
I’m a freelance musician in Nashville and that wonderful speech Larry made starting around 1:15:00 to 1:18:00 is maybe the most profound perspective I’ve ever heard on working in a creative field. Every writer, actor, musician, etc. needs to join Larry’s new “religion” 😂. The “kiss of death”, as Larry calls it, is something I deal with everyday in the music industry. Everything is so limited and in a box and everybody is just chasing the newest trend. What they don’t realize is chasing a trend means you’ll always be behind the next one. Anyways, I just love and admire Larry’s wisdom and purity for writing.
Love the podcast Rick. I’ve been watching an episode of TYSO almost every day since I found you. You are so hilarious and unique in your comedic voice and I also love when the podcast gets serious and the honesty you have with your viewers and guest. Glassman bopper for life. Scoot doo!
Back to this one again, still one of the best podcast episodes of any podcast to be honest
I'm a late self-proclaimed goblin and this channel is a treasure trove of goodies to look back on. Every time you cut in a previous episode or even reference it, I go back and watch and listen and love it all over again. Thank you, Rick. This guy fucking rocks had no idea he was one of my heroes, that's what I get for never looking at the writers credits.
LC: you’ve a lot of very long anecdotes, why do you even need a guest, you could just do this by yourself.

Mr.C is one of those rare and fading breed of iconic people in entertainment whose rise is purely organic and seemingly related to destiny. I say this because I love the look of Rick who is like a child being told thier first ghost story , when he is listening to Larry spin a tale .Congratulations on landing Larry Charles and great episode.

@@bernardwallace435 I watched it and did enjoy it. It is certainly an interesting dynamic. I like how open Glassman is with everyone. And Griffin seemed like he was seriously getting annoyed, but I know he likes to give people a hard time. He and Bobby Lee are hilarious together.

baserocks206 I luckily don’t have to interact with passengers as much as I did in the past, but when I did it was tough, I always said you see the best and worst in people working there. So much so when someone is nice you almost don’t know what to do.

Larry Charles is sharp and excellent.
The world is full of people whose lives peak in their 20s and downslide from early middle age. Health, enthusiasm, optimism, attention, engagement, hope. I've always thought it should be the other way around.
Mr Glassman at 35 is "crushing it" in L.A. (by any objective standard) and Mr Charles at 62 is "crushing it" even harder. At least 27 years harder; which is how it ought to be. THIS is a paradigm I find very encouraging and these two should collaborate on a groundbreaking self-help motivational bestseller.
The Bobby Lee episode was quicksilver but this one's very good too. Two enjoyable hours on the train. Thanks TYSO.
