If you haven't noticed, we accidentally posted a British flag in place of a South Korean one mid way though this video. We promise this was a mistake and not blatant British Imperialism.
Yeah.... in Slovakia we pronounce it the same way as a V, but when saying the alphabet or when just naming the single letter, we say Double V but in slovakian language of course

We do say JAG-war, not JAG-you-are, but that predates the car and goes back to the cat. It's a South American animal, so I don't know if either the Brits or Americans pronounce it "properly."
Tom Crisp the US pronounciation is the closest to the Korean way of saying it. The girl in the video did a rather poor job of pronouncing it. It's actually really not hard at all; it's pronounced: HYUN-deh. Two syllables. Pretty easy. Ignore the "-dai", The last syllable is pronounced as "deh".

+GTvisi0n actually you're not correct about Mitsubishi, tsu is one syllable in Japanese just as shi is. It's just spelt with two consonant letters in English, doesn't mean they say mee-tuh-soo (or suh-hee instead of shi).
I believe Mazda was founded by a bloke named Matsuda (a common Japanese surname) as is the case for Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, etc (all of which are names), and they just Anglicised and stylised the English spelling for it, so that it is spelt Mazda (with the z, or zu, being the closest pronunciation to what tsu should sound like). The fact that it's also the name of a Persian god of light was simply a happy coincidence. (Edit: I accidentally added Mitsubishi as an example of Japanese surnames. No, it was founded by a bloke named Iwasaki. Michael Kennedy average
Michael Kennedy A normal German Girl.
Michael Kennedy i really need to move to Germany.
but that Korean chick tho... @0:55
I agree with you !!!! 🥇🏅
The Japanese were just hilarious, I got addicted and repeated it like 10 times .
Stuff like BMW is absolute bullshit. I understand pointing out faulty pronunciation with manufacturers such as Abarth or Porsche, but come on! BMW is a bloody abbreviation for crying out loud! of course people are going to pronounce it the way they'd pronounce single letters in their own language. Do you really expect someone to go to a London based dealership and and say "I'd like a Bee-Em-Vee M4, please"
This should have more likes xD
With the options of indicators and a clear screen and radars that tell you when the front bumper is 1 gnatsfarts width from the car infront.
Mac Doodles
Or a Bayerische Motoren Werke X3
ya the bee em vee is bullshit cuz you cant say verks in bavarian motor works.... its english for fucks sake so its a (w) aka: double you. bee em double yoo.
I remember quite clearly that the ads I heard pronounce it as B-M-W, not B-M-V
Car Wow!
In Brazil many brazilians say:
Volkswagen - Vou-kis-vá-guen
BMW - Bê-émi-dábliu
Mercedes-Benz - Mêr-cê-dis Béins
Abarth - Abárti
Ford - Fórdi
Fiat - Fíãti
Audi - Áudi
Mazda - Masda (here this brand doesn't exist since 90s)
Note that the Brazilian Portuguese speaking in "d" is different. Can to be spoken as "dê" or "dí", in each case...
why would you say Abarti, Fordi, Fiati etc. since there's no letter "i" at the end?
Good question! I really don't know the why. I suspect that the saying does part in our language.
***** That's weird and funny :D
Quattro Because in our language, every world ends with a vowel.
Now I want to hear Brits pronounce the Swedish brands: Volvo, Saab, Koenigsegg, Scania
uk: hy-un-die
us: hun-day
I know it makes no sense! 😂
I can't speak for the UK, but when Hyundai first came to the US, the marketing campaign always said "Hun-day, like Sunday." So Hyundai themselves decided that's how Americans should say it.
That South Korean girl was super cute :)
0:55 1:32 I think I'm in love!!
That girl look like not typical koreans, more into south china or northern south east asia

**Sa-sagyong**
This is one of the first videos I watched from Carwow
You couldn't find a Korean for Hyundai? It's pronounced 현대 - Hyun Dae.
"Hyon dae" I guess
95 percent of the time a german would call it VW and not by its full name. only for specific reasons
Foxwagon
@@arturocastro2302 Don't forget the L. If you want to be 100% accurate, it's "Follx-vagen".
@@greenjacketman9321 pretty much, yes. it is a long pronounced ´ag´
And what we can conclude from this video is that the Korean girl is, by far, the prettiest
