Hear me out, the lord explanation are for the ‘dema’ listeners, those trapped in a dark place and Tyler/Clancy is teaching the casual listeners (citizens of dema) about hope (how to escape dema) because they believe hope (banditos) are a myth
exactly. it’s nice to have solid confirmation, even tho most of the fans were already aware of it. i truly believe this was for the fans who aren’t as involved in the lore. especially with the newer fans that didn’t experience blurryface/trench first hand
Clancy learns the ways of Banditos in Levitate which is kinda like the song Trees, as they are down in a forest, probably singing a chores one that everybody knows...also i scream you scream we all scream cuz we're all terrified, look what's around the corner, is maybe a reference to Niko taking Clancy back by grabbing him from behind the darkness in Levitate, we all stay in place cuz we don't wanna lose our lives, the Banditos don't stop Niko cuz they are terrified of bishops maybe??or maybe of losing life in the conflict that would occur afterwards...so let's think of something better, down in the forest we'll sing a chores one that everybody knows, kinda reminds me how he was horrified of it all when there was no distractions of Car Radio, which probably led to heavydirtysoul...and it's interesting how in tear in my heart, Tyler is lifted up by his beloved just like in jumpsuit and the lyrics of jumpsuit along with the revelation of how they can control the dead through some ned's horn related powers, so maybe the tear in my heart is the song about how people (possibly bishops) misusing the powers to make the dead come back to life only for things to go terribly wrong, while being the metaphor for how not to deal with loss of someone...finally, you fell asleep in my car I'll drive the whole time bit for some reason kinda feels related but I'm probably reading too much into it all...

I’ve been listening to ALL of TØP’s music this past week (all the way back to Self-Titled). It’s all connected…which makes sense since it all comes from Tyler’s mind. Love how it’s evolved to a whole fantastical visual universe complete with dragons! 🐉 And NEDs! Pretty dang brilliant 👏 This needs to be a rock opera on Broadway! (Was also thinking about Josh, aka The Torchbearer. I think Josh, being one of Tyler’s BFFs, is his ‘guiding light’ irl, helping him see the lighter side of life when Tyler starts spiraling in his depression. ❤️🔥)

Oh it’s doing a lot more than just mirroring the mental health journey…☺️ When I studied psychology, it was the start of progressing to philosophy, which progressed to theology and religion as I realized the importance of one’s search for meaning and value involves going deeper. And I TOTALLY get you. It was really difficult to try to tell people about the lore. 😂 My only question about Tyler being Clancy and vice versa, is how do you explain Clancy seeing Tyler from afar in Trench as he wrote in his letters?
