One of my friends girlfriend cheated on him with me (bad move I know but I was in high school and never had a girlfriend before. It also didn't help that he made fun of me for it). Anyway, she ended up leaving him for me and my relationship with her lasted longer than his but she eventually left me for someone else too. Me and the other guy stopped being friends immediately after our relationship went public.

Last year I graduated from my all girls school and I've got some awesome stories.
I messed up my friend group my first year there because of endogamy, which ended up in a triangle. Slept with both, but never had anything because one had internalized homophobia and the other was never my type.
Moving along, I have a girlfriend right now. And it's not to throw flowers at ourselves but we were pretty popular with lesbians in school JAHAJS. Most of them were in love with my girl, or they were in love with me. In some cases, it was both. Their faces when they discovered we were together was something just 😭😭.

@@theLegoLightbulbGuy most of the time it's these "straight love triangles" that are just an angle. Like Bella, Edward and Jacob in Twilight. If Edward or Jacob were in love with the other, that could've been a real traingle.

Back in high school, I had a crush on this guy I shared a group project with, but I didn't think it would go anywhere because of my uncertain life-plans. Then my more optimistic bestie told me that she had a crush on him, which I responded to by promptly full-on shipping her with the guy. Like, we were giggling to each other about the idea of her and him when we were supposed to be studying and everything. In retrospect, I kinda think I was doing a combo of living vicariously through her and trying to distract myself from my own feelings for the guy.
Anyhow, after a few months she eventually chills out and says she's over her feelings for him because he was full of himself. Me, who doesn't like believing negative things about people and works really hard to build strong friendships with teammates, did the foolish thing of hearing her out but not believing her conclusions. I still had no intentions of forming a relationship with the guy, but I had all these unresolved feelings which it seemed he was starting to reciprocate.
Then, as we hung out more, I basically saw him treat others with dismissiveness and backhanded comments while claiming not to have expected them to have felt bad about it but eventually agreed to apologize when I pointed it out. Then he broke a promise where we would help each other with some schoolwork (even though I helped with his), saying that he got what he wanted and saw no need to keep his promise. Honestly, I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe he didn't mean a lot of what he was saying, but that explanation showed me that I was wrong to.
Afterwards, I turned to my bestie and fellow-group members for support, who helped me ghost him as much as physically possible on the small campus, which was really nice of them.
