We used to go there for the William Holden wildlife foundation as school kids. It's beautiful. We would ride on the back of like a 200-year-old tortoise that was HUGE. You could sit on its back, your feet wouldn't be able to touch the ground and it would walk around munching grass like you were no burden to carry at all. Fun fact: We found out they and crocodiles have 'indeterminate growth', so keep growing until they die. See if you can get that experience, it's amazing.

looks like equator suite? love it edit: oops a different suite, must be next door. I have a video short of my child hopping back and forth over the equator tile. Wow, Ive never seen a property tour there in a car... . always in a golf cart..... The Fairmount is actually the place that caused me to be ok staying in Nanyuki, I was otherwise out the door and I figured if that can be done here so can a plant based eco lodge. Have found some more amazing places like that up on the slopes towards Timau. I remember saying I feel like I'm somehow closer to heaven here at the Fairmount.. The forest inside the william holden gate is also my favorite, I'm a little irritated I can't live next to the Fairmount ;-)
22:26 I am surprised about the dress code, as when I went there in December they did not tell us anything about it, during the booking nor at the restaurant, and there were no issues regarding what we wore during our stay.
