I work in a grocery store. The flyers you get in the mail every week... they repeat themselves about every 2-3 months. So buy enough of the sale products to get you through to the next sale..like laundry detergent, soap, cleaning supplies, canned goods etc.
I use those flyers to plan what I'm going to buy, if it isn't on special, I wait until it is, or get a special coupon worth money off a certain amount or product. I shop at Kroger because it is only 4 blocks from my home.
Meats in pkgs, trays have to have a Tare weight... So your paying for the meat only, not the tray . Example Ground Beef , pork chops, Roast, chicken.... Weights and measurements are always going to Grocery stores to get weights from different meats...
I do almost all of my grocery shopping at Walmart these days. One thing I have learned is that many times, the brand named products are cheaper than the Great Value brand products but people are conditioned to automatically buy the store brand to save money and they don’t notice that the Del Monte tomatoes are cheaper than the Great Value tomatoes. You have to pay attention to the shelf prices.
I just recently noticed that too on eggs...the Walmart brand eggs were about 40 cents more than the name brand for a dozen...I will be checking everything now...
@@TrixieJFerguson Yes, Walmart raised the prices of their own products even though they were making profits before the pandemic. It’s disgraceful how these greedy corporations don’t care about people just themselves.
@@dwslar4ever Before the pandemic, I was able to buy a carton of 18 extra large eggs for $2.48. Now those same eggs at Walmart cost $6.22. They are the Hill Country brand I believe. That price hike is not just inflation. It’s greed plain and simple.
I am Canadian and Walmart sure gouge us. One has to know their pricing. I buy at Walmart for quick things. I do my veggies, eggs, milk and cans at Food Basics. I buy my meat at Metro, Lob Laws or Soby's. I like quality meat. I will buy the odd time at Walmart for meat depends what it is.
Some of those prices increased due to the theft in the other departments. You dont believe crime in those sanctuary citys affect you till your Paying out of your own pocket for THEIR grocerys.
Some of my best steaks are right after the 4th of July and the store ordered to many. I have picked up $50.00 meat for $10.00. Then freeze some too. Shop after holidays.
One thing to watch out for at the Walmart clearance rack is they will take items off the shelf put it on the clearance rack but don't mark them down. Make sure what you get from the clearance rack has a yellow sticker with a lower price or you will be paying the shelf price. An employee told me that one.
Hi from Kansas City! I bought 2 loaves of that reduced French bread at 50 cents a loaf. I took one loaf this morning, sliced it up and made French toast with all of it. I ate a few pieces, and put the rest in the freezer for breakfasts this month. 2nd loaf i made into French bread pizzas. I got 6 nice sized pieces. Great bargain!
Im 63 and disabled, so you know money is always tight. Ive had to start on line shopping from walmart because its hard to get around. The first thing i learned is DO NOT LET THEM SUBSTITUTE unless there is a comparable wal mart brand you want..i have just decided not to let them substitute on my orders at all. For example i would order a pint of blueberries, they said the pint was not available, so they sent me a pound, cost three times as much..and i went in the store after they loaded my groceries..and THERE WERE PINTS OF BLUEBERRIES. So i prefer not to allow substitutions. I never thought about checking weights, but you can bet i will when i shop in the store from now on. Thanks for the tips, and thanks for another video❤
I totally agree. That's for any store I shop at. If they have an option of choosing a specific substitution I will go ahead and choose that for myself. The other thing I do, which some people might think defeats the purpose of ordering for pickup, is plan to have time to go into the store myself when I pick up. There are things I don't trust the employees to pick and that includes fresh meats and produce. I also can't get the discounted items in a pickup order. Last, if they say something is not available I can go in and often find it on the shelf or decide on a substitution based on what I see. I know this wouldn't work for everyone but it's what I often do.
And ALWAYS check your receipt on online orders to make sure the price is accurate. I got charged for rhe larger size of 3 items in one order but they sent the small size. And I've had items I was charged for that I didn't receive. There was a steak, a container of crab meat and a bottle of wine (anniversary dinner) that were missing. Come to find out the delivery driver did some shopping out of my bags. They refunded my money but then I had to go to the store to pick up the items. Aggrevating.
If they substitute an item, they are not supposed to charge you more than the original item you ordered. Using your example, if they only had a pound of blueberries, then it should have been the same price as the pint that you ordered. Hope this helps in the future!
The best way to save money on basic goods at Walmart is if you have the option is to SHOP AT ALDI! They have a limited inventory, but their store brand items are as good as name brand items and at 1/3 less price
Ditto on the aldi plus thier meat is always just slightly above other stores sales prices and the only place that sells chicken wings at a fair price we usually cook 15-20 lbs at superbowl and college games to feed 15 people at hooters is like 200$ i cN make the same thing at home for 80$
I’ve found some things at Aldi are higher priced than Walmart, but I DO shop at Aldi. I make my list, dividing into what’s Aldi and what’s Walmart , some will be at both, so I place an arrow by those. Then I get on my Walmart app and write down prices of items in my list. This way, when I go to Aldi first, I know price of item Walmart charges and decide which place I’ll save more
@@teresashoot999 That is a good strategy. My wife and I have a Google Keep file (aptly named "Grocery") which is shared between us. When we need a grocery item, we tell the Google speaker in kitchen to add the item to grocery. It automatically adds the item. Getting back where I was going with this....Before we go shopping we rearrange the items by store thru the Keep app. Keeps life simpler.
I shop at Walmart weekly either in store, online or store pickup. I don’t trust that Walmarts meat is fresh so I don’t buy their meat unless it’s frozen or rotisserie chicken. I try not to buy anything via store pickup that has to be weighed & stopped allowing substitutions w/online pickup. One time I declined an online pickup substitution but I really needed the item so went into the store to see if I could find a similar item. Lo & behold the item that I actually wanted was in stock. Also, if Im forced to self checkout, I triple bag everything & save $ by using those bags as bathroom garbage bags. Those extra bags are pennies to Walmart but kinda satisfying to me😂
The day shift brings out the "on sale" meat and bread. The bread comes out around 8 am, and the meat around 8:30 or 9 am. They go FAST, so be there at the right time. Also, when you buy bulk, do the math. Sometimes it isn't cheaper. Example: this week they had canned corn .98 a can. A pack of 4 cans was $4.48. Bought individually, 4 cans was $3.92. You gotta pay attention, cause they do that a lot. Also, if you buy something with no price tag on it, check the price before you pay for it or you may be in for nasty surprise when get home and check your ticket. If you buy soda in big bottles, but waste money because it goes flat, squeeze the air out of the bottle and put the cap on tight. It lasts just fine that way. I've also learned to count my pills from the Walmart pharmacy. I've caught them shorting my meds several times.
You’re so right about lying too short and letting people know that you love them. I just lost my husband been together 26 years gone at such a young age. A blessing to come along your channel. Buying groceries for me as in everyone else is very hard. Thank you for what you do.❤
Your Salmon looks delicious. Nice that your friend can trade products. I stay away from Walmart meat and deli.. Thank you for the video and tips. Blessings to you.
Vince i learned from The Mac's Life, in southern Mississippi. That if you purchase a gift card and it is hacked, or your money stolen after your purchase on a gift card. Wal-Mart does not refund your loss of the gift card. 😢Yet Wal-Mart knows the cards are being hacked. They are not removing them for sale.😢 ***JUST A WARNING!!!
My son enjoys convenience store items so just for giggles I put in groceries under $2.00 in the search bar and there are SO many frozen items at $1.00 and under! I filled his freezer! He was so surprised so now he can microwave to his hearts desire..lol..I know it's not the healthiest but on a tiny budget it helps! Thank you for the tips!
I worked at Walmart. For meat deals or day old bread deals, you have to go very early in the morning. I mean just about when it opens UP. Then they have the best meat and the end caps for sale will have the best bread, donuts, etc. However, 'other' end caps where you 'think' they're on sale, aren't. They are the same exact items that they have on the shelves. Here, they re-stock stuff around Wednesday, so you are most likely to find what you want then- But it could vary where you are. If you go online and they are out of stock, Keep trying for a couple of days and things will likely be back in.
I like cooking salmon with the skin on. I love the crispy skin. Cook salmon anyway YOU like! It's a healthy protein to add to your diet. Unfortunately, salmon prices are crazy now. Look for sales! Thanks for the video!
Anything fresh is way better tasting than frozen, or canned. I love a good fresh tuna, salmon, burger with a salad for a side. I comparison shop prices at Walmart. You can have two brands exactly the same product yet drastically different prices. Stor brand is usually cheaper but not always. Some things I'm very picky on because of taste, storability, freshness etc. Other things don't really matter much.
We use their Walmart plus. Have our groceries delivered to our kitchen. Saves me time and hauling up to my apartment on the 3rd. Floor. Plus I order once a month.
Walmart too...everywhere.... actually you have to watch every single price. Just the other day I got some green chilies and it rang up 11 and some change higher than what it was supposed to.
They have actually been sued in several states. We do not shop at Dollar General for that reason. It's been a long time since I've been in the one in our small town
I am lucky to have a freezer of meat from buying a half cow from a farmer I know and trust so I just buy pork or chicken, on sale. I cannot believe how expensive just the basics are. I am doing more baking and just bought a dehydrator to make healthier snacks and dog treats. Great video, will start checking weights from now on
I love using my Ibotta to receive rebates. In particular walmart has the most available rebates with the most common items we would all purchase. It's a great way to try new items you haven't tried yet. And just maybe you can get a name brand item for half off...which would be roughly the cost of the off brand. If anything Don't sleep on the household grocery or personal personal care rebates!!
I compared our Sam’s Club vs Walmart. The buildings are directly side by side here. Plus, I’m a low income disabled senior who has to watch each penny. The Arteso?sp bread is $3.98 at Walmart for one loaf, and $4.28 for two loaves together. Activia yogurt is $7.28 for a 12 pak at Walmart, $10.48 for a 24 pak at Sam’s club. I buy the pork tenderloin at Sam’s Club and the butcher there will cut to your specifications. What normally is super fatty and not as tasty at Walmart, Sams is lean and will feed several meals for a big family. Love to do cost comparison always.🥰🤗🙏🏻
Funny how the same people own Sams and Walmart. Sams buys in larger quantities than Walmart and have lower overhead. People just like something to grip about.
I do too, but I make sure I’m saving with more than one item because I found myself wasting gas just to save a couple of dollars when all the savings just went in the gas tank due to running from store to store for separate foods on sale
Any time I shop at Walmart or any store I buy the store brand....what people don't realize is that the major food companies not only make known brands, but they have a certain amount that's set aside for the store brands like Walmart etc It's the same product at much lower prices! 😊
Nice video you might want to do another video about past prices because I did my research and found it’s not a savings most stores hiked the prices up and then do a markdown to make us think we saving when actually all we are doing is paying regular price for what it would’ve been before the price hike up.😂😂😂
Put the app on and check prices with your smart phone. First press the app then at the bottom of first page press services then a screen for check price. In the women’s clothing and the clearance isle this can make a big difference.
I've watched the employees at my Walmart mark down meat and immediately take it in the back for themselves. They say it's expired, then why did you mark it down? I asked just the other day in the bakery dept if they would mark down a coffee cake as the shelf date expired that same day. She said NO they do it in the morning. It's only one thing, No. I said today is the last day to sell it. Tomorrow will be too late. She refused and put it on her cart. I finished shopping and began to checkout. I noticed she gott in line to check out too. She had that coffee cake with a yellow sticker on it for $1.09. So i said to her, i see you're buying the coffee cake i asked if you could mark down. She laughed and said, it's a perk for working here. I've shopped store mark downs for years. We are elderly and can't afford luxury items like coffee cake or bakery items anymore unless it's reduced. My husband likes something sweet once in awhile. Groceries are so high we are forced to buy less and go without. Also, my Walmart will not instantly match others stores prices. They make you down load some app and they will credited it what ever penny difference it is on the item. When you reach 5.00 or more you can use the accumulated amount towards your future purchase st Walmart. Aldi's prices are not much better lately. They are always out of the sale items claiming the truck didn't come in. It's difficult going from store to store and getting in and out of the car. Even though Aldi's is across the street from Walmart. It just wears us out. Just trying to save a few cents. We limit how much we go out gas is high too. It's just as exhausting trying to lug it in the house. Sometimes the can goods stay in the car until the next day. We don't go to Kroger prices are higher there. Started to shop dollar tree and dollar general for food. It helps. Try outlet stores like Sara Lee, pepperidge farms sometimes you can get a deal. Community Churches, food banks and neighborhood sharing helps too.
The employees should get their pick of clearance meat and bakery items. They work hard and don't make enough money to buy the packages they want, either. Your example of a coffee cake is terrible nutrition, anyways. Plus, it sounds like you're finding plenty of deals and getting food from food banks. If you have so many groceries that you get tired of bringing them inside, you're doing fine.
For anyone shopping the discounted bakery items, you probably will not find them in the bakery section. My store takes the racks WAY to the back by the dairy aisles. This forces you to pass by a whole lot more products/aisles than you would if it was up front by the bakery. Also, here's an everyday great deal in my opinion. They have a huge bag (24 count) of French steak rolls for $4.88. That brings it down to just 20 cents per roll. They are the perfect size for a small sub sandwich (think kids lunches) and they're always very soft. If you patty your hamburger meat in an oval shape, they'd work for hamburger buns or split your bratwurst in half the long way. I won't go through them before they go stale so when I bring them home, I wrap most of them in foil and put them in the freezer in a gallon zip bag. If you don't wrap them, they will dry out so spend a little extra money and get yourself some single pop up foil wrappers.
Look for a grocery outlet, Aldi, or dented can type of outlet store, Walmart, and Dollar tree with your typical grocery list. Make a row for each store next to the items on your list, Each time you go to the stores write down the costs for each item. Only takes a bit of effort to find out where to shop for which items, or if it's worth the small savings to go to the other store.Try to tie going to these stores only when you have other errands in that area unless you will save/be purchasing enough to make it worth the trip
I used to peel the skin off first before I cooked my salmon. I realized that my salmon would break apart too much in the pan when I removed the skin. I sear the skin on, and it peels right off anyway once the fish is cooked. Great trick, though!
That’s what I found out too some years back I would put my salmon on the grill and cook it skin side down the longest then flip it over and finish cooking it on the meat side!! And the skin comes right off
I love watching your channel. But sad to tell you I am not a Wal-Mart shopper. I used to work there and had my fill. But I did want to tell you that I tried your Chicken and bacon Quesadilla. We just loved it. Had it twice already. I am a big bargain shopper and also grow as much as I can and put up.
I like Chicken Livers they want $4.27# for it I went to another grocery store here in Klamath Falls, OR and they were $2.21# even Chicken Hearts and Gizzards were much Higher. I grew up eating Chicken/Turkey Livers, Beef Liver & Hearts in meals in the 1950s through the 1960s my mom would use things to stretch her food bill with 6 kids. That stuff was good eating, my friends hated the Liver. I found a local Diner that makes great Calf Liver & Onions Diner, It brought back memories.
I save a fortune by not shopping in Walmart at all. We buy one-ingredient foods, in bulk, usually from the Amish farmers near us. Then we grow most of our produce, all of our mushrooms, and keep free-range chickens. I shop at Aldi or Kroger for deals on things we don't grow... like lemons, limes, coffee, wild-caught sockeye salmon, canned salmon, herring, and sardines, olive oil, and coconut oil. We LOVE the crispy skin on a fresh piece of salmon, cooked the restaurant way. We also like the skin and bones in canned salmon for the extra nutrition.
Scan your receipts to one of those apps like fetch so you get some of your money back. Some Walmart bakeries will give you for free or sell you for $1 the frosting buckets. Good bucket and lid for lots of things and is food safe. Find out what day produce comes in at and buy that day or the next. Try not to shop for fresh stuff out of season. Check the dates on vitamins, supplements and medicines. Some are close to expiring so look for one with longer shelf life. All I can think of right now for Walmart and etc. Subscribed.
For years, there have been weighing stations with scales in multiple areas throughout the produce section. Some even have the digital scales not just the old fashion scales. You don't need to go all the way to checkout to weigh something. Additionally, you have to also account for the weight of the packaging to see if they are scamming on the label. The only way to know that is to actually remove the product from the actual packaging and weigh it. For those who want to test this on a regular basis because you never know which one is an inaccurate label to get you to pay more money. But then if everyone did that people's dirty hands will contaminate the produce. What I highly recommend is to just stop buying pre-packaged meat and cheese and get it sliced fresh at the deli counter and watch them weigh and package your meat and/or cheese. Problem solved.
News flash the larger package is not always the cheapest, you have to compare both prices, the sticker will show the best price per lb/per unit. I personally never use the self-serve registers, it cuts Americans out of jobs.
Well that's a money saver right there with that water trick. I just looked up Salmon at Walmart. 2lbs of frozen salmon skinless is just about $20 here in North East NY... BUT, the skin ON is only $10 for 2 lbs!!!!!! HUGE savings! I am soooooo going to go get the ones with the skins and try this trick on them! awesome, love it!
NEVER EVER EVER use self checkout at any store, especially Walmart. If you make a scanning mistake, or they think you did, they will use your credit card info to get your identity and file charges and ban you. ALWAYS use the cashiers. Any errors that way will not be your fault. There have been TH-cam videos about this.
If you use cashier's they make more mistakes. It's literally dumb to use cashier's . They constantly overcharge instead carefully use self checkout and ask the self checkout person to help you correct and overcharge or mistakes. Using the cashier's they go super fast and you won't see the overcharge until you get your receipt and have a chance to go over it .
@@pbear7814 I don't know where you are, but for the past four months I have been buying amazing eggs from a family that raises chickens in their farm. I get 30 huge eggs for $9 plus $1 delivery fee. The girl even brings them to my table inside the house! There might be alternatives where you live. I live in Miami, Florida 🥰
Thanks for the tips! I get up early and get to the popular grocery store chain in TX, by 7am. They would have their meat discounts done early, and I could stock up!
I worked in the bakery at walmart. The items on the discount rack are not actually out of date. They are pulled the last good day and marked down and put on the rack
In some of the supermarkets I shop in, they also have a separate section of the store that is marked down because it is a seasonal closeout!!!😊🎉❤ My supermarket also has senior days for an additional markdown plus discount points on gas!!! It all adds up!!!😊🎉❤
I always choose packages, cheese, vegetables and fruit, etc. from the back of displays. When grocers bring out the fresh new items they always move the current displayed items to the side , they then place the new stock on the display and then they add back what they removed.
Our small-town stores (Apple Market, Town n Country, Ramey’s offers 5 for $25 items… they include meats, frozen items, and items like Bob Evan’s sides, breakfast sandwiches, etc. Shop local when you can. Be safe, Be prepared, Be Blessed
I love all of your videos! You could be sitting counting your toes and I'd love it! I do buy from Walmart but usually online . Today I found flash sales and some great items with great deals! I love y'all! Keep on keeping in!
Something I've noticed about WalMart is prices vary from one store to another. Those RibEye steaks you showed on sale for $20.71 ($11.92 LB) with a regular price of $30.02 ($15.97 LB) at my store online is not on sale. BUT the regular price showing online at my store is $23.50 ($14.97 LB). Many stores, not just WalMart, raise a price on an item only to show it "on sale" at a later date at the price it was before they raised it. This has been going on for years. If you save your receipts you will clearly see it happening over time.
In our area, stores not along the main state border to state border interstate ate deemed "rural" stores and prices are higher at rural stores; 10 miles from the freeway can make the difference. Also, stores considered to have high shrink rates are rumored to have higher prices.
I have worked retail for over 35 years this is nothing new. Prices could be different from neighborhood's neighborhood.A lot of times a richer the area, the prices are lower the lower the income. The prices can be higher. Where I live in town.Starbucks is a 60 cents more here in the lower inspection than in a richer section.Five miles away by seventy five cents
@@sharonarnold5897I thought going to lower income area store would get better prices but it was quite the opposite. Found the answer to that to be that the lower income area are almost entirely using EBT for buying their groceries and the studies have proven when getting EBT, that people are a lot more out to paying higher prices compared to paying with earned cash.
I usually make a run down the clearance aisle. I found some dawn dish liquid for really cheap a couple of weeks ago. I wish I had bought all 4 on the shelf. Went back the next day, the rest were gone.
Also, I agree with your separation of thin cut area from the thicker. To save time I turn the thinnest side out yo the outer edge of the pan where heat is lower than the center. ( not when using a flat top)
I always look at those clearance racks. I get bread, donuts and sometimes pies from there. I also always look for the yellow stickers on meat. Also, if hamburger looks a little brown, that's ok. The inside of the packsge is usually red. Same on meat as the brown is usual oxygen just got to it when it supposed to be sealed tightly.
I bought one of those 10lb ground beef at Walmart once and it was the stinkiest meat I have ever smelled in my life. Not rotten but like they scooped it up off the feed lot floor. Dirty smelling. Disgusting. Will never buy again. 🤢
Nice video! I am a budget shopper. I also have a scale at home and think I will check weights with my own scale. Even the register scales could be wrong. You are great at speaking natural and explaining things. My first time watching you but I think I’ll subscribe and see what else you have to report on. I’ll check out your channel and browse past videos too! Thanks!
There seems to be a short window of time that the rotisserie chicken are in stock. They are not available in the morning, of course & they are usually gone before 4pm.
My hubby and i always grab those discount french breads 🥖when they have them out and stick em in the deep freeze. When ready to eat we just sit out on the counter to defrost for a couple hours.
Walmart changes the quantity of products in packages so you have to buy 2 smaller packages and pay more per pound doing it. One popular brand of fish sticks used to have x-amount of fish sticks per package. They dropped the quantity in the package & it still sold. So they quit stocking the larger packages & forced customers to pay more per pound by only stocking smaller sized packages.
I think I cried when you poured on the boiling water. We leave the skin on and grill it so the skin becomes crunchy. 😂 just found your channel. I'm a hunter of clearance tags. Our local grocery store clearance down chicken wings and I usually clear their shelf and freeze them. I always walk down the clearance isle too when there. Never know what ya gonna find.
hi new here! yes, have had issues with pre packaged apples, cherry tomatoes (weights-like there adding/or taking away-with the zip lock type bags) and 10 pound bags potatoes-selling old bags (have bad ones in the center of the bag)
I don't have any problems with the weights matching up, I just find the prices on things ringing up are higher when scanned than what they are marked. Esp clothes and toys
Walmart in Belton , MO. Doesn't do that match pricing anymore . I had no idea they did that 10yrs ago when I mentioned to them on matching a other sale ad they said they stopped along time ago .....
I have had that happen; the weight of meat being less. Not anything drastic such as 8 ounces less, but I have had as much as about 4 ounces less in items such as 10 lb hamburger roll, pork loin, (farm fresh brand?), pork chops, ground pork and ground chicken. Also, sometimes their frozen vegetables are less by an ounce of so. It happens in spurts, nothing constant but has been actually going on for a few years. Have you ever noticed what happens with eggs? It's like they rotate egg sizes. There are times when large eggs are noticeably smaller than usual for awhile and then after a month-ish, give or take a bit, they're the proper size again.
I get my groceries delivered from Walmart. I've saved lots of money that way. They very often deliver the wrong groceries to me, and not only do I get my money back from what I didn't get, but they won't send anyone to pick up the wrong groceries, so it's basically free groceries. You'd be surprised at how often this happens. Although I have to admit it's really frustrating. One of the walmarts were I live, is really, really bad for this. If it happens to me often how many other people is this happening to. I couldn't believe they wouldn't send someone to pick up the wrong groceries I received. I wouldn't think they could afford to do that.
My first time listening to you. I love Walmart and Sams. These are the only stores to shop. All we have really! Very interesting what you did checking the ounces. If using the self checkouts, give yourself enough time for it to ring up, check the screen, if you have a question about something, ask the CSM's, they will be glad to help you!!! I'm sure other markets are great also!! Thanks for your advice and keep up the great job!!!
Check near the deli area for COLD ROTISSERIE CHICKENS! $2.97 I get 2 a week and use for ALL KINDS OF STUFF! SOUPS, CHICKEN SALAD, CASSEROLES, QUESADILLAS, YOU NAME IT!
Thank you so much for the salmon trick! I have avoided buying salmon because its so hard to remove the skin before cooking it. I'm so excited to know this trick.
Some yellow tags get put things that are not being sold anymore. Like a brand theyre not going to carry or a certain size of product like the 10 ounce is discontinued. The products fine and you get a bargain! 😊
On Saturdays and Sundays you can find meat half price a lot of times. Also Dollar General Market marks meat half price right before it expires but you have to keep an eye out.

What time of day are the stickers the cheapest?

If you have the Walmart app you can check price from your phone
I only buy what's on sale ( food ) and Dollar Tree for cleaning supplies. Plus I garden. Great video!
I love that!
Great idea!
I did the same! I swear it was fresher than the regular stuff that wasn't on sale!! 😂
Hey from kc also!!
👍
Thanks for the info
Same here, no substitutions.
No Aldi here!!
Those extra bags are pennies to Walmart but kinda satisfying to me😂
Once received "yellow sticker "chicken breast from online delivery, and” sell by ground” beef
@ Smh
I always get the reduced priced bread, take it home and cut it up into cubes and make croutons. It's not crazy savings but it all adds up.
I find the sale bread can mold quickly so I put it in the frig to keep it longer.
I bought frozen garlic bread, cut it up made croutons😌 That’s my snack food❤ I will have to try it with regular bread before it goes bad… Thanks!!
I have never been cheated at Walmart pharmacy, but I have been cheated up to 10 pills at other pharmacies. I count my pills!
The meat comes in frozen, how long has this meat been frozen?
WOW!!!
They are not removing them for sale.😢
***JUST A WARNING!!!
I had never heard that about the boiling water on salmon skin. Thank you so much for sharing and for demonstrating. 😊
Have you ever smoked salmon that has been frozen? I'm considering trying to do that with some I have in the freezer.
I also love buying the clearance bread and put in deep freezer 😊
I stopped shopping at Walmart 3 years ago. I just subscribed to your channel cause you seem like a nice person and I loved your video.
Dollar General has one price on the shelf for an item but when they ring it up the price is higher.. Next time you go in there check out the prices..
Yes!
And each dollar general charges their own price
Walmart too...everywhere.... actually you have to watch every single price. Just the other day I got some green chilies and it rang up 11 and some change higher than what it was supposed to.
They have actually been sued in several states. We do not shop at Dollar General for that reason. It's been a long time since I've been in the one in our small town
Yes! I hate this!
I am lucky to have a freezer of meat from buying a half cow from a farmer I know and trust so I just buy pork or chicken, on sale. I cannot believe how expensive just the basics are. I am doing more baking and just bought a dehydrator to make healthier snacks and dog treats. Great video, will start checking weights from now on
Amazing content! I shopp @ Aldi. Great deal for the seasonal items!
Thanks for tip on removing the skin as well as cutting salmon into different sizes for even cooking. Great advice!❤
I really like the pulled Rotisserie chicken. Nicely flavored.
I buy a lot of things from Sams no meat. I stock up for winter I like buying in bulk.
IF YOU CAN AFFORD PORK TENERLOIN THEN YOU MUST BE GETTING EXTRA HELP..LOL
Funny how the same people own Sams and Walmart. Sams buys in larger quantities than Walmart and have lower overhead. People just like something to grip about.
I do too, but I make sure I’m saving with more than one item because I found myself wasting gas just to save a couple of dollars when all the savings just went in the gas tank due to running from store to store for separate foods on sale
Not true,
You can usually find pork is a lot cheaper than beef and chicken. @@chuck51561
Any time I shop at Walmart or any store I buy the store brand....what people don't realize is that the major food companies not only make known brands, but they have a certain amount that's set aside for the store brands like Walmart etc
It's the same product at much lower prices!
It's difficult going from store to store and getting in
and out of the car.
That employee told you wrong, I worked at Walmart, go to customer service and complain. They should set things right.
And the skin comes right off
The skin is the best part.
Sooo happy that I just found your channel!!! ❤❤
Our Walmart's here in Kansas quit price matching other stores several years ago. I used to save a lot of money doing that.
Louisiana too.
Tennessee also
me too in Texas
Walmart hasn’t price matched in my area for several years (4 or 5).
No price match here in Ohio
I'm new here and enjoyed this. I learned a few things too! Thank you!!
Enjoy watching your videos keep up the good work
I'm 51 and disabled and soo needed this I am struggling, thank you
Enjoyed your video. Like your attitude and your information. Keep it up.
Saute in butter and garlic.
When buying bagged produce, check the weight. You will find they vary a lot and you can get extra product.
Subscribed.
Fetch is the best! I get a $10 Walmart gift card like every month
Wow this is a amazing channel just found you Thank You😊
For years, there have been weighing stations with scales in multiple areas throughout the produce section.
You are such a good cook. Wish you were my neighbor. I enjoy you and your son. That fresh salmon was awesome I bet it taste as good as it looked.
That’s why the agriculture Dept should audit ALL STORES!
My kids and I loooove those clearance shelves 😁 sweeeet scores 👍👍
News flash the larger package is not always the cheapest, you have to compare both prices, the sticker will show the best price per lb/per unit. I personally never use the self-serve registers, it cuts Americans out of jobs.
All we have is self serve registers at Walmart. Dollar General has gone back to having someone check you out. They musta been loosing too much money.😎
You can freeze bread also!
Love all the hacks your doing keep up the great work and God bless you and your son
I always use self checkout because in our hometown, some days they don't have cashiers working any of the registers. I think they do that on purpose.
😂😂😂 Never had a problem with self checkout.
Sounds like OP has a sticky finger problem 😂😂
Not true ‼️
Wow that is such a good idea for weighing, I'm going too start doing this, thanks for the video you got my subscription
I save money by going to Aldi.
I agree for the most part, but eggs at my store were almost .50 more.
It all adds up!!!😊🎉❤
Our walmart doesn't price match. Curbside has been a blessing.
@@sharonarnold5897 Yup! The prices are pretty much based on what the consumer is willing to pay !
Thank you very much. Very helpful information.
I usually make a run down the clearance aisle. I found some dawn dish liquid for really cheap a couple of weeks ago. I wish I had bought all 4 on the shelf. Went back the next day, the rest were gone.
Love your videos more plz
Good information. Thanks
The boiling water on salmon skin does work in case anyone thinks you tricked them. 😊
Thanks for sharing 👍
Also, I agree with your separation of thin cut area from the thicker. To save time I turn the thinnest side out yo the outer edge of the pan where heat is lower than the center. ( not when using a flat top)
One Okie to another, great video.
It is so good to see you back on!!
I never buy hamburger from Walmart. If you look it is from 3 or 4 countries. The flavor to me is funky. And never buy the chubs!
Exactly
I bought one of those 10lb ground beef at Walmart once and it was the stinkiest meat I have ever smelled in my life. Not rotten but like they scooped it up off the feed lot floor. Dirty smelling. Disgusting. Will never buy again. 🤢
Never buy meat you can’t see!! I hope you took it back.
The chubs are often in meat recalls
Love your channel and love your accent. 🤗
Great way to check. What time of day were you in the Walmart?
I always sniff bags of potatoes to see if anything smell off.
New subscriber. Okie to Okie, thanks for sharing!
Try the fruits and vegetables, loose and pre- bagged, wrong weights, wrong markings as organic, different prices from shelves to register!
I dont shop Walmart esp meats but you are very helpful. And honest. God bless you. .
What is the price for 18 extra large eggs at your Walmart? Mine cost $6.22.
This video got me subbed to your channel in the first few seconds, I love this video.
Check near the deli area for COLD ROTISSERIE CHICKENS! $2.97
I get 2 a week and use for ALL KINDS OF STUFF! SOUPS, CHICKEN SALAD, CASSEROLES, QUESADILLAS, YOU NAME IT!
Thank you so much for the salmon trick! I have avoided buying salmon because its so hard to remove the skin before cooking it. I'm so excited to know this trick.
Glad it was helpful!
I’ve heard seasoned meat like chicken is used to cover up stuff
Always weight the pre packaged of things like apples and potatoes. Many times they are over the said weight.
I came here to say the same thing. I got a 5lb bag of apples that weighed 5½ lbs on the scale. Well that's an extra small apple right there.
