Growing up in the 90s I just expected the Bulls to win the Championship. I remember one year watching the game when they won and was like, well I better get out of bed and go celebrate down Harlem Ave.
You had a long series with Utah the year before, that 99 Spurs team was a different level that next year and the frontline of D ROB and Tim Duncan was huge..... It's a no win debate I know but I am saying the Spurs had a shot, a damn good one. The Bulls were getting tired eventually.
Former Bulls GM, Jerry Krause broke up the Bulls dynasty. Due to his ego, Scottie Pippen had beef with Krause cause of the money contract. Jordan had beef with Krause, cause he tried to tank the 85-86 season. Cause Jordan broke his foot and miss 64 games and Krause wanted to get another high draft pick. And hope to nail it out of the park with another player like Jordan from the 84 NBA draft. And he restricted Jordan from playing more than 15 minutes. Although Jordan was trying to convince him his foot was healed when he came back. But they didn't want to take a chance on Jordan getting hurt again. But Jordan beef with Krause was, cause he saw Krause was purposely trying to tank the 85-86 season and he had a loser mentality.
Dennis Rodman the " greatest defender/rebounder was never " Jordan's n0 2 "! His role was always defending the toughest to guard and rebound whether Pippen or whomever else was on the floor.

I definitely think that same bulls team in 1998’ would of beat that Spurs 99’ team’ Because Tim Duncan was still young’ that was Tim rookie year I think’ and plus it was a short season, that would of benefited the Bulls
The Bulls dynasty was both the best decision (getting them all together) and the worst one (not bringing them back), possibly in all of sports... and it all happened in the span of 3 years. lol.
Facts... In a shortened season, they could have won it all again and, if the Spurs still make it in this alternate universe, another ring for The Bulls
😅😂😅 I loved the Jordan Bulls and every time they went to finals they got the chip 6 games or under. David Robinson and young Tim Duncan up front would've been a matchup nightmare for the Bulls when all they had was Lonley Wenington and old Salley guarding them I think Spurs in 7. The 95 rockets would've gave Bulls problems too.
Well, he could’ve gotten another 2-3 million a year safely, no problem. Jordan only got huge money that final year (97-88 season). He got 25 million that final year. The other 2 years were like 12 million a year.
If they wouldn’t have made Mike take a break from basketball , we would have won 8 straight … and everyone in Houston knows this .. Chitown!! What ninja !! Free Kells’
Three years the Bulls pretty much wasted away. The two MJ retired or was semi retired and the shortened year when they could of came back. Im sure they would of won at least one of those or maybe even all 3. Of course does that mean Horace Grant still leaves? Do they replace him and do they even get Rodman? Without a good power forward the Bulls aren't winning it all as we saw when the Magic beat them. I definitely think the Bulls could of won more titles but then again would they eventually lose a finals? How would that have affected MJ's legacy? I always thought Krause could of and would of definitely retooled and tweaked the team around MJ with or without Pippen or Rodman. Pippens terrible contract helped them load up their team with great depth. They were also getting older with alot of mileage and you had young teams like the Lakers rising up. I think they would of eventually faced the Lakers in the Finals and it would of been a passing of the torch kind of game but the Bulls could of had 7,8 maybe even 9 titles total. Also I'm not so sure they beat those Rockets teams even if they had Horace. Maybe they split or win both or lose both? We will never know but Hakeem was the best center at the time and the Rockets were a great team. Those Bulls teams were so clutch and very deep and talented. MJ and Pippen couldn't do it alone though and needed that strong PF to help them and a deep bench with clutch shooters like Paxon or Kerr. Kukoc was underrated and would only get better also. They won 55 games without MJ and without really replacing him with another star.
If jordan hadn't left those 2 years i think they would have found a way to win 8 in a row And then completely fell apart after the 8th one from pure exhaustion an wear n tear

That’s an underrated point. pippen will always be bitter about his contract but if they have to pay him full price they probably couldn’t financially afford to load those teams with Rodman, kukoch, Harper and all of those studs and maybe they don’t win as many titles
It wasn't Jordan. Jordan wanted to run it back, But Scottie was fed up because he felt he was cheated and Phill wanted to go coach Shaq and Kobie. Rodman's right though they would've easily beat the Spurs that year.

@@tari8134 and how many did pippen win without Jordan? Without pippen Jordan was still Jordan…awards and all. Pippen tried without Jordan twice…when Jordan first retired and with a all star stacked Portland team…
Yeah that shortened season.. Everyone healthy.. game, set, match, title number 4 in a row
Screw the Bulls for beating my Jazz back then! We'll probably never see a championship that was our one chance.
Ha😂
No Krause got fed up with Jackson.
Dennis “and stuff like that” Rodman
Facts!!!
Lol luc longley rodman and kuckoc wud hold their own against them. But who ya got guarding pippen and Jordan. Horry and Eliot lmao 😂🤣😂
One more for sure
Dennis Rodman the " greatest defender/rebounder was never " Jordan's n0 2 "! His role was always defending the toughest to guard and rebound whether Pippen or whomever else was on the floor.
Part 21?? Damn.
Scottie didn't stay: he was on the Blazers start of the next season.
I wonder if Phil Jackson would have called his own title in 1999 an "asterisk" the same way he did with the Spurs
This dude is funny
99 Spurs would have beaten the Bulls
I agree, they went the distance with the Jazz I believe and the Bulls were not as invincible at that point..... They were getting older and the Spurs were up and coming. Empty debate I know but I agree the Spurs were ready.
He means they got their 6th and final ring
Owner Jerry Reinsdorf said Michael Cut his finger on a cigar cutter in the off season during the strike and need surgery on the tendon. He wasn’t going to make it back until the playoffs Jerry said so in his eyes that also sealed there fate.
I definitely think that same bulls team in 1998’ would of beat that Spurs 99’ team’ Because Tim Duncan was still young’ that was Tim rookie year I think’ and plus it was a short season, that would of benefited the Bulls
Jordan needed a superteam to win -
What all time great do you know didn’t need a team at all?
@@Infam0usKiller Dirk in 2011 beat the Heat superteam
The Bulls dynasty was both the best decision (getting them all together) and the worst one (not bringing them back), possibly in all of sports... and it all happened in the span of 3 years. lol.
No Rodman and Malone would drop 33 a game in those Finals and Jazz would win series.
The fact thst he's saying they could have one 4 in a row EASILY should tell you everything you need to know about the 90's era 🤷🏿♂️
With that team, coaches GM's players they were scared of the Bulls they were a joy to watch though
"5th and Final Ring" ?
They got 6 Vlad
It was Dennis' 5th ring (2 with Pistons, 3 with Bulls), I think he was referring to that
@@oliverqueen444 okay. That makes sense because I think everyone knows that
@@oliverqueen444 ah, well then I stand corrected if that's what he meant. Thanks
True
Michael Jordans only big payday was in 98'. he was paid $30M for 1 year. So to say he got $45M, that was for 2-3 yrs.....
I bet
Nah, they would've lost to the spurs. Rodman and pippen had nagging injuries after the 2nd 3-peat. The spurs were a deadly team in '99.
🧢
Stop it lmaoo. Mj and scottie arent bein stopped. Mario ellie and sean elliot aint enough
Colin 🧢pernick
Longley woulda really had to step it up
I agree
98 was the end
Rodman has no idea wut really happened 😂😂😂
Nigga said 45 million then 50 million. Dam i though it was just 30 😂
It was. The 45 million was over 3 years. It was like 10, 10, 25.
Vlad: "you guys got your fifth and final ring", wtf does vlad know about basketball?
Rodman's 5th. 2 with the pistons and 3 with the Bulls.
They not beating the Spurs in 99
Agreed
Or the Rockets in 1995 either.
Pippen deserved more money but with Jordan getting the big bank that wasn't going to happen
Free Kells’
The real what if question is if the Bulls would've won 8 in a row, '91 - '98.
If jordan hadn't left those 2 years i think they would have found a way to win 8 in a row
And then completely fell apart after the 8th one from pure exhaustion an wear n tear
@@GORILLA_PIMP if Jordan doesnt leave them Horace probably doesn't leave and if he does then they would find someone to replace him I would think. You can never bet against the Bulls in the Finals no matter the opponent. I don't know what would happen but I do know it would of been a great Finals between the Bulls and Rockets.
@@mrsinister8943
Yeah i would have liked to see bulls vs rockets too
But bulls definitely beat them in 94 though for sure
In 5 or MAYBE 6
And then i don't even think rockets would get drexler in 95 if they lost in 94
So yeah im sayin 8 in a row if jordan didn't dip out those 2 years
@@mrsinister8943
They didn't even beat Orlando who Houston swept, so no way they were winning 8. And it's ironic the 2 PFs that carried the Bulls interior defense during title years got bludgeoned by Hakeem in b2b series.
We just gonna act like Hakeem didn't actually play against Rodman and Grant?
That’s an underrated point. pippen will always be bitter about his contract but if they have to pay him full price they probably couldn’t financially afford to load those teams with Rodman, kukoch, Harper and all of those studs and maybe they don’t win as many titles
This is 🧢 The team was dismantled because of Jerry Krause’s ego
Facts and Krause did not want Phil Jackson as the coach he was so enamored with Tim Floyd as the next coach and we all know how that turned out
It wasn't Jordan. Jordan wanted to run it back, But Scottie was fed up because he felt he was cheated and Phill wanted to go coach Shaq and Kobie. Rodman's right though they would've easily beat the Spurs that year.
Jordan was loyal to phil straight UP and didnt want to play with a rebuilt team,he owns the right as he says. He should have come back with the Lakers when Jackson called him but he has already his plans with the wizards...so shame...
Keep in mind the same guy that owns the white Sox owns the bulls !!!
Rodman being a weird mother scratcher is a cool mother scratcher!
They were right to demand more money, look how much bigger the contracts got just a few years later.
If Jordan never retired in 93 the Bulls would’ve won 10 chips. They then would have mutually parted ways on their own terms. The 96 Bulls are still the greatest team in any sport, period.
Not on hakeems watch
@@FuShengAlex please.
@@AngeloMartinez6
Shaq didn't have to say please when he ousted Jordan and Chicago from the playoffs. And Hakeem and Houston swept Orlando a few weeks later.
@@FuShengAlex i didn’t see Hakeem snd the rockets 3 peat. Jordan retired to play baseball somebody had to win the chip lol

Jordan sure looked like he was playing baseball after Nick Anderson lynched him in crunchtime 😆
Rodman is one of my goats and I Love what he contributes on the court I really do.. But his voice kicks my ass man smh
SP GOT TRADED
Phil saw the next 3 peat in Kobe and Shaq. Thats y he quit on MJ and the Bulls.
Well, Kraus had told him they could go 82-0 and they were still breaking up the team & Phil was out regardless.
It was only after they’d won the championship that they told Phil they wanted him back, BUT they were still breaking up the team. Even if MJ came back, Pip, Rodman, and Kerr were all gone, and MJ was 35 YO. He wouldn’t be able to carry the team.
It’s easy to say that now..
Thugger: "im the gayest nigga in da history of mankind
Rodman: 👀
That was a yes to the nba players kissing on Marian munroe lol
imagine if they paid scottie , even when jordan retired i feel they couldve been together .
They probably new Scotty was a simp so they could get away with under paying him🤷🏾♂️
The Bulls could have won more than 4 in a row easily
Rodman is a great player but mj probably got fed up babysitting Rodman 😅
We don’t call this a super team right? Trying to logically follow the narrative it’s very tough!
Scottie sign a bad Contract
The Bulls without Phil and Pippen would not win again. Phill won with the Lakers now that counts more than star players
